    I'm about a year out from getting one. Plan on moving in the spring, and I plan on a 300-500 gallon setup bio-active terrarium with a fish pond with overhanging branches as well as 'land' to explore. Not worth setting that up to move it right away, giving me lots of time to educate myself!

    Great FWC!! Awesome well made video. Just wish you would have talked about your experience with her and FWC being a poop machine, as well explaining what you find and do to deal with the high metabolism which causes more cage messes. I’ve seen some even poop when out cuz they chose to go or the activity made them need to go and it sprays everywhere and stinks on top of that. Please tell us what you do for that or mention those things in future videos about reptiles just like you talk about food type and feeding frequency as you did in this videos. Great job!!

    I'm hoping to get me one around the end of the year as my first snake 😊. Done so much research and the closest I'll get to a cobra lol. I plan on naming him Orochi or Manda when I get him :D. Also love your tattooes and the Gojira figure in the background 😄
    PS you should show your set up as far as enclosures go 😊. I could use some ideas. Least as far as humidity, heating pad, etc.

    I'm not gonna lie I've read and seen so much negative media about this species but after seeing this I definitely see them in a new light, I have a Mexican black kingsnake and a california kingsnake and a western hognose, this would by far be my most intimidating snake if I would ever consider purchasing one but they remind me so much of the eastern indigo which is one of my favorite snakes! I'm at a crossroads now lol

    I got mine about 2 months ago a male and even though the pet store said this particular animal was a crazy bitey snake (they had him in a tub) I handfeed mine..... carefully because he's very energetic at feeding time. I don't use hooks for this one or my western hognose but I do for my now 2 ft. long female tangerine albino western diamondback rattlesnake she's a strictly handsoff snake.

    Take this as you will, but the u in Mitsuki (and any other U inside of the ends of words, as far as i can tell) is not pronounced, at least completely. At most it's kindof a dash, for some reason, a very slight pause to accentuate the resulting two syllables in Mitsuki. You can find evidence of this in all kinds of subtitled anime.
    Anyway, she's gorgeous and falsies are on my short list for sure, along with the eastern indigo, vietnamese blue beauty, and yellow tail cribo 😍

  • @jackleith3502
    @jackleith3502 3 года назад +3

    When you say she can be a bit ‘spastic’, what exactly do you mean by that? Apologies for the misunderstanding but I’m from the UK and the word ‘spastic’ here is a slur against people with developmental difficulties so I’m a little confused 😅 great vid though and super informative, thanks very much!

    • @SinWeissfell
      @SinWeissfell 3 года назад +1

      Falsies hunt and kill their prey by grabbing it and slamming it against things. It can look a bit odd if you don't expect it

    • @jocw101087

    I keep rear fanged snakes and hydronastes gigas is my dream snake. That being said, I do have a mild allergy to snake venom and I found out by a garter snake bite. They notoriously have a very weak venom that is next to nonexistent.
    I was bitten and chewed on for 5 minutes straight as I was carrying it cause I didn’t want it to get injured on a hike and I was relocating it to a less public area.
    The venom caused me to have a elevated heart rate for over 4 hours and there was nothing I could do to stop it except to let it pass. As I already have cardiovascular issues, it was a huge issue for me to handle and the elevated heart rate could have sent me into a heart attack.
    Since I was bitten, I treat all rear fangs as true venomous snakes and refuse to free handle them because personally I know I’m sensitive to venom.
    I currently keep a male and female pair of Malpolon Moilensis aka Egyptian False Cobras and a male Albino Conda western hognose snake aka Heterodon Nasicus

    Your info on allergic reaction isn’t 100% correct. It is correct in regards to a first bite. After that it is all dependent on your immune system’s post exposure response. Subsequent bites could result in anything from symptoms less intense than first exposure all the way up to anaphylaxis. And after every subsequent bite, that risk is exactly the same. Any keeper that exposes themselves to any venom, from bees to king cobras, should always have an epi pen available. It doesn’t matter if your hospital has antivenin if you never make it there. Anaphylaxis will kill you way before most venom will and having an epi pen is a cheap and easy life insurance policy against that.
