Full House Tour: Main Floor, Upstairs [CG Tour]
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 5 май 2024
- A Full House home tour. You'll get to take a virtual tour of the main floor and upstairs, just as it was on tv, but with ceilings and all 4 walls, so it feels like a real life home. This is an amazing example of 80s and 90s set design and of a Victorian row house in San Francisco. You'll see the rooms of Danny Tanner, played by Bob Saget, D.J. and Stephanie's room, played by Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin. You'll also see Uncle Joey's room under the stairs - played by Dave Coulier. And, even Uncle Jesse's room, played by John Stamos. We'll also tour the nursery of little Michelle, played by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Then, we'll walk the entire main floor and upstairs.

This house layout used to drive me crazy! One thing you didn't mention was that due to the height of the living room ceiling and the way the stair landing ran across the whole side of the room, ALL of the upstairs rooms would have to fit over the kitchen! They really took "poetic tv magic license" with this house and basically turned it into a tardis 😆.
Well-yes.... But actually no!
exactly. 😂and then there’s an attic but the house from outside is two floor house. while it should be 3-4 floors 😂
You guys are ALL getting the orientation second floor wrong. The second floor fit rather perfectly over the main floor because there was a tiny flight of stairs at the top that turned 90° to the right, putting Michelle's and Jessie's rooms over the living room, while the bathroom and DJ/Steph's room were over the kitchen.
@@davepane7306 There was no "over the living room" The whole thing was 2 stories tall. It had to be in order to see the stair landing. Google it. It was an impossible floor plan just like most TV floor plans.
@@davepane7306that makes sense, but then they say Danny’s room is the end of the hallway. But then where do the stairs in the kitchen come out at the top?? It’s driving me insans
I would love love love to see a tour of the Golden girls house, that house was so cool
Also, their neighbors house “Empty Nest”, would be cool too!
Yes yes yes!!!! 🎯💯🎯💯
I asked her about The Golden Girls house probably a couple of months ago and she said it wasn't in the plans..too bad I think it would be popular
OH YEAH GOOD ONE DARLIN 👏🏾🔥
Yessss
I can't believe how much I enjoy these videos. They take me back and I always see new things that I missed while watching my favorite shows. Thank you Marina!
I love hearing that. Thanks.
I think this is the first time I saw how Danny’s bedroom is laid out after trying to figure out the upstairs floor plan back in the late 80s on graph paper when I was about 10. Amazing. Thank you for this!
You sound like me in my childhood. 😊
The thing is- when Danny's room was actually shown (twice) it replaced the Bathroom!
Marina. I was sadden when Bob Saget suddenly passed away last January.. he was one of my favorite comedians and loved him on both Full House and as host on Funniest Home videos as well as Dave Coulier and Arlene Sorkin. and I loved that San Fransisco house.. thank you for sharing..
Love it. Growing up I was obsessed with DJ and Stefanies room - and the little jukebox on DJs desk and the two desk lights on either side of djs bed (blue and red one). Thanks for your work- your very talented!
Glad you liked the tour.😊
Loved this. One of my most beloved tv shows of my happy childhood
I'm glad you liked it and I'm glad you had a happy childhood.
I have made many other homes too. You can see all of the other TV and movie home tours I've made here: ruclips.net/user/MarinaCoavideos?view_as=subscriber
I always wanted to be able to see some of the wall art from some of these shows, in more detail, especially the paintings in the backs of the living rooms on Home Improvement and Family Matters. Those shows each had a weird painting or something in the back, that I could never quite tell what it was supposed to be a picture of.
Wonderful!!! One of my favorite shows of all time, and one of my favorites that you have done. Thank you!!! Fantastic!
Yay! Glad you liked it.

Another show I'll have to check out that I didn't see back in the day. It's a lovely house and what you said about the family at the end makes me want to watch the show. Thanks again for another great TV home tour!
It's good to hear you enjoyed it even though you didn't watch the show. 😊
The stats on this one are the most telling about how unrealistic some of what they show on TV is; the waitress lives in a three bedroom home in Napa (Mom) is a good example. This is another one with the cost of home vs. the salary showing that sometimes Hollywood is out of touch.
Yes. It's fun to see if things line up. They very often don't.
It's TV, not real life...
It used to be a stretch… but in today’s economy of Jeff Bezos and the banks hoarding it all, it’s more like a fantasy
What waitress are you referring to?

Love this, like all your videos Marina! I love to look for all the little details when I go back and watch the shows again! ❤
Thank you!
Oh my goodness. I saved this so I could relax an enjoy. Just love your videos. ❤Marina you are so talented!
Thank you!
Thank you for all of the time you put into this tour. I absolutely loved it! Great job!
(The attic stairs never made sense either. Also, the fireplaces don't line up, which they show in an episode. So many mysteries. You had your work cut out for you. 👏)
You're right about the fireplaces. I hadn't thought about the fact they make it appear they line up in the episode where they listen by Danny's fireplace and hear what's being said by the other one. Hmmm.
This is one that I've been hoping for for along time. It's just a shame that I didn't discover your video until 8 months after publishing. Marina, you've truly filled my heart with joy with this video!
Yay!
Another one of your wonderful videos. Thanks so much for all the work you put into making these absolutely beautiful videos. I look forward to your next one. Thanks so much again. Sending love from Florida. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!
Love it Marina! You never cease to amaze me with your talent.
Thank you! I'm glad you like the tours.
@@MarinaCoatesMockingbirdLane They are fantastic! I look forward to each and every one.
I just love these videos - so beautifully put together. Amazing work!❤
Thank you!
Awesome amount of detail! I always imagined the kitchen "mystery stairs" led to the other half of the upstairs, coming out by Danny's room. And then there were the s2-3 second set of stairs leading down into Joey's room. Where did they come from?!
Marina: nice job of showing us the home. Good memories. Carol from California
Yessss when I saw this in my feed I did a complete double take then paused the video I was watching to come watch. Pressing play now!
Yay!
Thanks for the tour! You always do such a great job. One of the things I liked about the house was how the girls' room had mismatched furniture. Stephanie had to move into DJ's room when Jesse moved in and, just like in most middle class families, Danny didn't get all new matching furniture/bedding. It was one of those little things that made the show seem more real-life.
I hadn't thought of that. Good point. 😊
love it Marina so beautiful and to see the magic of the sets love it. thank you.
😊
I really enjoy your videos! I'm still perplexed as to how Joey had a room under the stairs and the mystery attic apartment. I guess some things I'll just have to use my imagination.
I was going to show the attic, but this took me so long, I ran out of steam. I didn't make a tour, but on my website I do show what the exterior would look like if it matched the interior and included the attic. Here's the link:

@@MarinaCoatesMockingbirdLane I've forwarded your channel to many friends. I don't know if it's just me but I used to dream about being in those homes. Your videos are kind of like dreams coming to life ❤
@@lisaann915 Thanks for letting me know. 😊 I've always wanted to walk around inside of these homes. It's nice to hear others feel that way too.
Joey's room was originally the garage.
This channel was made for me!!! 🤩🤩🤩 Eagerly awaiting all the houses from TV and movie land that I've always loved.
Yay!
I'm glad you showed this memorable house because I am a child of the late 70's early 80's and I was a faithful Watcher of TGIF. I watched Perfect Strangers, Family Matters, Full House, and Step By Step. I enjoyed every episode of Family Matters and Full House the others were ok but I enjoyed the other two a lot more. 😊💖

What a lovely tour! I would love to see a tour of the Family Matters home as well as the Maude home.
Been waiting on this one. Dope 💯
Thanks for posting this!! I always knew the TV set wouldn't fit inside the exterior home, but it was still a nice show. I'd be interested to know exactly what's in the mystery hallway by the laundry area.
I am so happy to see a new video and a new home tour. Thank you so much. I love the detail. I would really love to see the Beverly hillbillies mansion. And also Roseanne Connor’s home from the old show when it was good and the kids were little. Or little house on the prairie. I know the house is tiny but maybe you could tour Walnut Grove look at the Restaurant and the mercantile and the school. It’s just a thought. Thank you for your dedication to detail and the magnificent work you do to make these videos. They are amazing and I know they take lots of time and hard work. Thank you for your dedication. I really appreciate it and I know many many many others do too.
Thank you! I plan on doing every home that you mentioned.
Absolutely wonderful job! I was lucky enough to go to a Fuller House taping and get to go on set
That's great! Why were you allowed on the set?

Great job as always... I had a chance to look at the Mrs. Doubtfire house and the width and pitch on the roof minus the other set of bay windows would have been a more ideal match for the Tanner home.
Thanks for doing these home tours, I really enjoy them!
Glad you liked the tour. I visited the Mrs. Doubtfire home recently too. I hadn't thought about it, but you're right, it fits the interior of Full House better than the one we're shown on tv.
Awesome 👍🏾❤️ love that show, wholesome family 🌻 and situationsof family Life
😊
Love seeing the Full House house!! I remember thinking this is a huge home! Another home I’d love to see, Growing Pains! I loved that show & house!!
I plan on doing Growing Pains at some point. 😊
Or family ties to😊
I would have liked to have seen an exterior walk around of the rooms arranged together in order to imagine what the outside of the house could look like.
I imagine a utility room, an exterior staircase, and a two car garage.
It also could have made sense as half of a duplex.
I love these so much! Please do “Who’s the Boss”. I loved that house and couldn’t figure out what was behind the living room.
I hope to get to that home someday.
GREAT JOB! Love your videos so much!!
Thank you!
Full house 🏡 and fuller house 🏠 are my favorite shows 📺.
These are fantastic! Love to see you do the Golden Girls house and the Sugarbaker Design Firm (the Villa Marre) from Designing Women.
I hope to get to those!
Coming up this month is the country home from "I Love Lucy." Then in November, part 2 of Home Alone. And in December, "It's a Wonderful Life." More if I have time.
It's always such a joy to get notification that a new video from Marina Coates has been posted! Another masterpiece! 🌻 One of the reasons I enjoy some movies and TV shows is for the set. Sometimes (like in the case of Jumanji) I don't really like the story but I love that house so much that I've watched more than once to catch the details. I can think of shows that I wish you would feature: the set design on the Highlander TV series has always fascinated me, especially MacLeod's loft but this is undoubtedly not a good fit for this channel since it's not exactly a "warm and fuzzy" story. And I'd very much like to see the house from Family Matters, too, which really would be appropriate here. Looking forward to what comes next! Thanks for making my morning a pleasant one.
I've always loved that loft in Highlander. My favorite part is the kitchen area, just love the walls. It amazes me how non-dated it still looks, except for the telephone with the extra long phone cord😉📞. I loved his barge too.
@@freeindeed7720 Me, too, and the antiques store as well--hard to believe it was 30 years ago! One of the things I loved best about that loft was something that wasn't easily noticeable--MacLeod kept one of Tessa's artworks that had previously appeared in her workshop at the antiques store. Ever happen to see it? It's the large bunch of concentric circular gears that hangs from the ceiling. A simple statement that shows that he continued to love her.
@@zzydny Wow I never noticed that before! I know the gears you're talking about, but I didn't recognize them as from Tessa. That's cool.
Recently rewatched the 1st movie also, and Connor's place has dated really well too. Love the sunken seating area.
Those set designers were really a cut ahead. Even Joe's bars would be seen as modern today.
I've watched shows too just for the set design, even when there isn't much of a plot. 😊
@@freeindeed7720 OK. I'm going to have to check this out.
I wouldn't have thought so, but I really enjoyed this video. Note: If Stephanie backed the car into the kitchen in Full House and again in Fuller House, the car would have been up twenty feet off the backyard ground.
True! 😅
I loved full house

Wow, you did an amazing job on this. I can’t imagine all the time that went into doing this. I do have a request 😊 ~ I would like to see the My Three Sons, California house. I always enjoy your videos. I'm curious are there any TV homes you have wanted to do a video tour of but the show didn't film enough in different rooms to give you an idea of the layout of the set?
Not with a TV home. But there were two movie homes I did like that - The Parent Trap and North by Northwest. It was a fun challenge though because I got to create rooms we never saw but base them off of the clues we get from the rest of the home.
I'll soon be doing the country home from I Love Lucy. I haven't started the research yet, but I think I may have some guess work to do upstairs.

The thought was most likely they took the dining room and made it part of the kitchen in a remodel. A real Victorian would have a tiny kitchen. Thanks for another great video.
That makes sense! 😊
Would love to see a tour of Southfork(Dallas)
I hope to get to that home someday. I've had a lot of requests.
Ah, the age of wallpaper! I still love wallpaper.
I remember it well. 😊
Every tv home is always so massive. Danny’s salary was more believable, especially when you consider his wife’s profession when they bought the home, but still. I think the Boy Meets World home on a grocery manager salary was unrealistic. Major chains pay six figures for that, but an independent store would never pay that. Amy never had a solid career and then they just happened to have enough money to buy a whole store and pay for two college tuitions.
Yes. Pretty unbelievable.
What was Danny's wife's profession? I always wondered how much more a sportscaster job payed compared to a 15,000 a year journalism salary in the 90's for Him to support a family of six.
@@ingridpear1882 there doesn’t seem to be any mention of her having a job. I thought she was a veterinarian, but I can’t find any documentation to support that. She may have been a stay-at-home mom.
@@ShatnerLover Thx,I always wondered.
Cant wait to come back and watch this later! I'm always so happy when I get a notification from you, Marina! :)
Thanks. 😊
In the real world, It would be so much fun to go house hunting with you!
My wife and I have been watching THE SCARECROW & MRS. KING. We were commenting how nice Amanda King's house is, and I thought of you! Perhaps you might throw it on the pile of houses to do. Thanks!
Consider it thrown in! 😊
I would've said Great Job except you got the orientation of the upstairs wrong. That second (last) little set of stairs turned 90° to the right meaning the upstairs actually made sense relative to the main floor. You can pretty clearly see this 90° turn in your reference-photo from the Pilot episode where Danny is at the top of the stairs. The house didn't need to "mushroom" out like you suggest, or like Bob Saget says in a house tour a number of years ago. Michelle's bedroom was situated over the living room while the bathroom and DJ/Steph's room were over the kitchen, voila!
Finally! I'll have awnsers!!
Hopefully you found your answers.

Can you do Ike & Cora-Beth Godsey's House/General Store/Post Office/Pool Hall from The Waltons? I always wondered what their upstairs suite looked like. There was also a shed on the side of the building off the main store that Ike renovated and rented out for $3 a night.
I might do that someday.😊
Love the Walton’s!!
@@MarinaCoatesMockingbirdLane Cool! Cora-Beth turned the pool table area into a dance floor after they adopted Aimee, you can go with that version too.
@@christinecarter8727 I was also thinking of the Baldwin Sisters' plantation house and Duke farmhouse, they both had hidden rooms where they made moonshine...I mean "The Recipe".

It's a Blue Yeti.
Bob Saget’s death had a very hard impact on me. Not so much because I was a fan but the way he died. Thousands of miles away from his family, alone. My uncle Ronnie died at work alone in the bathroom, and we didn’t have the chance to say goodbye, just like Mr. Saget’s family. My uncle was like my father, so it really messed me up.

In later seasons they have the attic door as the first room at the top of the stairs before you even get to the main hallway. That would mean that the window in the bathroom would be looking out into a staircase leading up to the attic.
Thanks for adding that information. 😊
So good!! Can you do the perplexing Everybody Hates Chris house?
That would be a good one to tackle.
The real house is gorgeous
Just putting it out there I sear in two episodes or more people are seen coming from there right, behind the Bathroom door as you have no way to get up the the attic otherwise, the room in the basement is from the kitchen I think the straits going up from there are also for the attic as well. It’s a rather confusing lay out sometimes but definitely always love seeing your videos.
Thanks for the input! I should have included where the attic stairs might possibly be. You're right, it's a confusing layout upstairs. Most TV homes are, but this one wins 🏆 out of all the ones I've done so far.
