I used to love watching the show. It's not until now that I'm able to appreciate just how much time, rehearsal and effort went into these sketches
Wonderful. Ronnie Corbet was a great comedian. He did lots of routines like this as well as a great joke teller. Wish we had talent like this today.
That ballet slipper flying through the air and the Maypole mishap are hysterical! The whole thing is fabulous.... and the professional dancers were truly great sports in this skit!!! I agree I don't how they kept from collapsing into laughter throughout Ronnie's "dancing." Talk about the ballerina from hell!!
I used to love the spoof/ sketches the two ronnies did where they took well know songs ..or music and totaly changed the words ect ...think one of my faves is them doing the Nutcracker suite know as boys in the Ballet! ruclips.net/video/bBd021E3F6k/видео.html
😂😂🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍👍🤣🤣🤣😂
I remember these spoofs with great affection, and wish that there was anyone now as talented as the Ronnies. They never treated their professional guests with anything less than utter respect, and only worked with the best in their profession.
Omg, Ronnie was actually in sync with them! Goodness. That was tough one to pull off. Hats off to the amazing Ronnie, and ofc the professional dancers. 🤗
Never find comedy like this anymore. I truly miss these times 😁😀🤣🤗🤗🤗
Such a beautiful play 🦢
Thank you so much!
So enjoyable to watch.... spoofs like this are so rare these days. This was so refreshing and hilarious!! 🤣🤣
Watched the 2 Ronnie's when the shows were first televised. After all these years never fails to make me smile. Keep showing clips of these comedians what about Morecame and Wise. They were brilliant too
I love the costumes and the whole choreography. This couldn`t be as funny as it is without the perfection of the real ballet dancers :) Great job, everyone!
How are you doing today my name is Eric
The costumes are from ballet Chopiniana
I don't think they're real ballet dancers.
@@verac6731 A couple were professional ballet dancers and the rest were professional commercial dancers :)
The ballerina putting Ronnie's shoe back on, timing never missed a beat. Brilliant comedy with not a spoken word. Don't know how old Ronnie was when he did this piece but his flexibility would be the envy of many. The speed of his footwork at the start was amazing.
The name escapes me, at the moment, of the dancer (maybe Kim??) who puts Ronnie’s shoe back on but she was from Sydney whereas the rest of us were from Melbourne. The year was 1979 so you may be able to work out how old he was if you look up his date of birth. I hope this helps 🙂
@@MaryanneLeavey just checked Ronnie was born in 1930, so 49. Thanks for the information, I didn't realize it was made so close to home, I'm just across the ditch in New Zealand.
@@MaryanneLeavey I took ballet, jazz, tap, and en pointe from Miss Ruth Barnes in Pennsylvania when I was young. She said that she had once taught Marlene Deitrich, and somehow I thought that was related to a time in Australia.
How the ballerinas and ballerino kept straight-faced and maintained the time is beyond me.
I truly love classical ballet. This is such a silly spoof and I enjoyed every moment of it!
Ronnie Corbett was always en pointe. So glad this random showed up as a suggestion for me to watch.
This cracked me up. They did such a great job.
We was pretty fit there. Keeping up with professional ballerinas isn’t easy
OH Yes I did Summer intensive at the
Paris Opera Ballet and Intensive is exactly the Word.
It's not for Wimps.
Love this, Ronnie Corbett was so funny, this made me laugh.
I've scrolled down and down and its wonderful to see comments in other languages. International comedy. The Two Ronnies would be so pleased to know this.
Every time I watch this I laugh so hard I give myself a headache.
Looked like he was tap dancing at the May Pole. LOL cute act.
I Loved that guy !!!..💕💖❤️💕💖
Gpod old ronnie bring back those days brilliant
I believe I first saw this on TV 1.
Yes here in NZ.
I have shown it to my Lady just now and we both had a Great laugh.
The TWO RONNIE'S worked so well together.
We love British humor.
Plus I think Dawn French also does a similar skit.
Cheers to ALL from New Zealand.
My sister and I laugh ourselves sick over this every time we watch it. Therapy!
Szuper köszönöm szépen szívből gratulálok mindannyiunknak 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤😂🎉🎉🎉🎉
That was hilarious!! Thanks for sharing!! Lol 😅😅😅
I used to really enjoy an evening in front of the telly when things like this were on, I don’t watch TV at all now.
Winnie wallace.. This is just fabulous.Ronnie you had amazing talent.
I'm surprised how good Ronnie Corbett actually was, he'd made a wonderful ballerina with some proper training.
I think he probably had some dance background of some kind but most performers back then did.
@@paulajean4540 Note his foot turnout while standing. Primo.
That took some doing, RIP funny man.
Duck among the swans
Yes... more of a 🦆
More of a brown bat, if truth be told.
Excelente!
Did anyone else notice that they are using Swan Lake music with Les Sylphides costumes?
YES!
@@premarose13 how are you doing today my name is Eric
Yes , l did notice - no feathers for them!
A funny take on a much loved classic! Had a good laugh and enjoyed watching it.
Ronnie Corbett was soo funny this really tickled my funny bone ...LOVED it!!
thats when you miss few days of class
No mention of the fact that this is the wonderful late Ronnie Corbett
The famous Cygnets variation around a may pole. Hahaha
Enjoyed this Spoof Ballet, Brilliant & Funny..ty. Ty. 👍
Bravissimi !!!
How are you doing today my name is Eric
Always loved the comedy of The Two Ronnie’s, miss their show.
He actually did a very good job.
LINDO.. A bailarina indisciplinada. AMEI!
Ronnie was surprisingly good
Priceless!
Loved The Two Ronnies, they were funny and classy. I never get tired of watching this video.
Grossartig, sooooo herzhaft zum Lachen!!!!!!!
They did a great job performing and making me laugh.
Ya, Tchaikovsky is pretty good 😊
I love how much effort the ‘main’ dancer put into learning the steps and timing! Definitely has a ballet background!
His wife was a dancer so maybe that helped 🙂
Loved The Two Ronnies.
Genius comedy
Actually, he's not a bad dancer for a comedian. Lol
Wonderful talent Greatly missed
The little lady from The Incredibles😂
HAHAHAHAHA…ahem. sorry. This was BRILLIANTLY funny and that woman was the best unskilled skilled dancer I’ve ever seen!! Oh, thank you for this - I’ve sent to my entire people list!
The Two Ronnies did a funny skit on a ballroom formation team as well.
It's harder than it looks to make it look bad!
I loved watching this show.
Great @harriscashcoach. I enjoyed performing in it 😊 Thanks for your comment!
Is that supposed to be Q. Elizabeth? It looks quite like her, with the hair, pearls, & glasses! 🤣😂🤣
This short lady properly walks in the first position! she's pro.
I think you mean "Man" not lady
She's a he. 😂
I remember watching Trockadero (sp)as a small child, at least 60 years. SO funny! Large, out-of-shape, hairy, white men in tutus dancing clumsily what I thought was serious ballet.
Great performance without. Batting an eyelid. .....😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤩🤩
Thanks Tara. Glad you enjoyed it!
Simpático !!... Saludos desde CHILE 🇨🇱 !!...👋👍☀🌿🌹🌙🌠🐈
It always amazes me to think how creative those old teachers were. It’s hard to see this kind of creativity nowadays. Only once a while. Most artists they don’t really put the heart to it or to improve it. The funny girls are probably the last batch. 😓
O this takes me back the best great comedy that can not be repeated in this day and age. Laughter seems to be a thing of the past the young don’t know what they are missing. The two Ronnie.s were the best of British comedy so glad I lived through those years.
Terrific fun; loved it.
Thanks for sharing it with us.
I think i sow a penguin 🐧 among the swans
😁 úžasné, ďakujem 🎩💐
Very clever and one I haven’t seen before!
Thank you for showing this funny video. Did not expect that and had good laughs !
Ladies and Gentlemen My Cousin Cristiella Ballerina:
As a Professional Ballerina whose troupe specializes in
Swan Lake I FOUND THIS Refreshingly Humorous.
Well Done.
They don’t make comedy like this anymore
So funny- especially loved the"kid pretending to ride a pony" moves and I started laughing with the glasses and ended with the drawers!
Comedy without opening the mouth. There’s several from the 90’s n 2000’s I could name who I’d wish could learn this concept. (Stiller, Wilson, Ferrell...).
Ronnie Corbett , we miss you
I loved never seen swan lake before this version put a smile on my face a very big needed smile thank you 💙❤️💜🧡💛
crazily brilliant
That was hysterical. As noted by others, the professionalism of the real dancers made Ronnie Corbett's part that much better. Was this done in Australia? The beverage looked like that famous "oil can" of Fosters beer.
Another comment says all but one of the dancers were from Melbourne; the other one was from Sydney.
So funny I loved to see it again
The bad dancer is the star of the show they are there as backup dancers. How good they are shows how bad the star is hence the humor
Looks like Linda Hunt doing ballet. LMSO!
How are you doing today my name is Eric
Ronnie Corbett is actually smaller than the ballerinas!! 😆 Ronnie's funny but the real ballet dancers are amazing!! 😃💖
He was only 4'11 tall, 2 inches shorter than me!
@@crystalball6358 wow 4ft 11 inch is small at 5ft 1inch your petite 😀💖 I'm 5ft 6 inch barely average 🤣🤣
@@futuregirl8803 I'll send you a Krispy Kreme doughnut if you let me have your extra 5 inches! HA!
@@crystalball6358 😁😁😁 OK but I want a whole box of those doughnuts 🍩 🍩 there bloody nice 😋 😋
@@futuregirl8803 I fully agree with you! Oh an entire whole box of them ...could I ram one in my gob without my type 2 diabetes knowing about it?! HA!
I don’t think so. I certainly never, ever did and I’m quite sure that I’m not alone in thinking this way.
That about summed up my attempt at my ballet classes when I was about 11. Except our ballet shoes had Criss cross ribbons- which mine would always slide down into a heap at my ankles!
I get that this is extremely funny but I do feel like those actually doing the ballet moves correctly were under appreciated!
Thank you Lexa The Snake for thinking of us. I was one of those dancers from many years ago.
Right?! I wish there wasn't a spotlight!
Arsehole
@@MaryanneLeavey Lucky you Maryanne :) . It is clear that many that have responded don't get the humour of The Two Ronnies, or the PC brigade are out in force. Can't make my mind up. But, whatever, Ronnie Corbett would have much appreciated your efforts at the time, I hope. what year was this?
Fiona Mann Thanks for your understanding and kind words. The year? Embarrassingly I believe it was 1979 😊
Never been to a ballet performance, this must have been amazing in real life!
It was. I am one of the dancers 😊. Thanks for your comment!
@@MaryanneLeavey oh wow! You’re super talented
He is awesome
Mom, I love you for your intelligence!
