I was so excited and joined the queue. I always carried my autograph book with me and could not believe my luck. In Heaven, dancing with Erik and Dame Margot.
танец с хрюшей - мечта гениального премьера😏?
what a strange dream to dance with miss piggi!
Nureyev was magic!
Excellent - we miss you Rudolph
I do come here ... again & again ... whenever I need a good laugh :o)
But also to see excellent dancing and choreography. Thank you!
When they asked Nureyev who his favorite partner was, he remarked: "Miss Piggy." This is his funniest, most interesting performance. He was great at what he did. It was sad he went when he did. 'Couldn't forget his performance here--even if you tried.
I remember seeing this as a child! I haven't seen this in so long but I loved it! I was actually having a lousy day and seeing this just put a smile on my face!
how is it possible the nureyev got through that whole scene without cracking up?! I know I couldn't...
Well, since it was being Filmed For T.V., I'm Sure THEY DID SEVERAL TAKES, Whilst HE Got The Giggles Out Of His System. That's also how THEY got IT That The Dancer in the Pig Costume Got Up AFTER RUDY THREW HIM ACROSS THE STAGE. LOL!
omg hilariously brilliant! I don't recall seeing this as a child.
There you have it, Rudy & Piggy doing ballet together.
I was always amazed at the truly big stars that appeared on this show.
Yes! Remember when Roger Moore was on it? I loved that.

How could anyone dance in a big pig costume?
Nureyev at his best!! Brilliant.
I just looked up who was dancing in the pig costume because I was so curious (you could tell they were *good*. Apparently his name was Graham Fletcher and he was a dancer with the Royal Ballet in the UK (at the Royal Opera House). In his later years he was a ballet teacher in the UK.
I LOVE Rudi and The Muppets. "Swine Lake" indeed!!! Rudi is my Hero of the 1960s. He escaped from Evil Russia.
НУРИЕВ! ВЕЛИКИЙ, ГЕНИАЛЬНЫЙ НУРИЕВ! ВЕЧНАЯ И СВЕТЛАЯ ПАМЯТЬ.
🕯️
The fact that I fell in love with ballet when I was a kid because of this one episode is still funny to me
Omg! this is so funny!, I love it!, brilliant performance of Rudy and Miss Piggy!, great!, many thanks for sharing it!
Brilliant. How sweet, genuine and funny! Nureyev was an amazing actor and had great timing with his "partner."
her form was perfect.i loved her style
Wonderful. Good parody requires serious talent.
serious - Muppets and their scetches/numbers never getting old. Even it were (not only) a children program, it's very very clever and professionally made
Hermoso legado del mejor bailarin del mundo. Gracias , Rufolph.!!
This is extremely creative and funny, I love it !
He was such a good sport, because he was gay and smart. The world misses you so, Rudolf, we lost you so soon :-(.
Not only was he a good sport, this parody was actually his idea. Proof that beneath the serious exterior he did have a sense of humour :)
Who would have ever thought that he was such a good comedian as well as one of the world’s greatest ballet dancers? True respect.
