I remember this episode. The Vicar of Dibley was one of those really special series that was one of a kind. Crazy, silly wonderful, witty humour at its best with just enough of a touch of warmth. I love this show! Dawn French and the rest of the cast were amazing! 👏👏👏

Myriam...we are not referring to a person who is depressed, those who pretend just for attention. I had a great aunt who committed suicide in an asylum (1930s) and a grand father who did the same, later (dad's rels).
Zuquina...this show was on, I belive the 90s, before the PC police ruled out comedy. People used to laugh at sitcoms.

You really need to see the episode to fully appreciate wh as t is going on. She had been going off to a reporter about all the quirky people in her parish, forgetting th as t he would print it all. They were all humiliated and so she needed to humiliate herself. It was Alice's idea which was why the thumbs up.

you can't help but bring tears to your eyes when you see a genius in a full comedy and acting and turn in a serious routinely into a sense of humour top dancer in herb biggest part of her career and taking time out from dancing as a professional dancer in ballet and share the funny side of life as they say the mirror can always two sides to it xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
the one thing I always loved the bird Dawn French she could turn anything into a big comedy soon suicide brilliance when she was on stage big TV star and small movies Talent on that colorbar to die is not that easy to find it was a pleasure to put the TV on and sit down and watch it with the family that's how I learnt to get a good sense of humour xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The Vicar of Dibley is hands down my favorite BBC tv show. I know it's an older show but it still holds up. Dawn French is marvelous in her roll. No one could've done it better.

If I recall correctly Dawn purposely made fun of herself to make amends for something she had done but I can't remember what. That's why they do thumbs up at the end. It is so well done, bravo to both ballerinas.😂🤣😂
I think the character Geraldine became too big headed after becoming a bit of a celebrity. She let all her friends down when the press made rather nasty news stories about them. She redeemed herself at the gala night by roping Darcey into the show 😊

Both dance well and aren't we all such different people in the World? Two beauties give rare performance of pleasure and joy. The costuming is lovely, and to showcase such grace & lythe of a dancers body & humility & stealth of a comedians mind is very nice diversity for life experiences we all entertain ourselves amongst wherever we live in the World.. Thank you so much. Dancing and comedy are two huge passions of mine personally and I'm enthralled to partake in this magnificent skit. Happy day!

I am no critic but I do appreciate the synchronicity at the start gradually being lost, I think it adds to the comedic tension and is a credit to both.

Great comedy. In all seriousness, though, WOW: Dawn French is REALLY good! She's got natural balletic grace and understanding of the steps and carriage. She must have studied ballet seriously when she was younger.
