People laugh at the off center method but it works man! Anything to keep yourself awake and focused when you've been up for hours upon hours! Thanks for watching!
Patterns and movement, are two things that the human eye loves to see, and often ignores everything else. So many times in game, I'll race ahead with a scout tank, and occasionally get caught in a tight spot, I am almost amazed by how blind some people can be. Often, my best tactic, is just to sit still, and other players will drive straight past me, feet away from me, all they have to do is look to the side, but they don't, because I don't move, and their peripheral vision doesn't get triggered. Also for a bit of fun, and an experiment, I painted my Tipo tank bright red and orange, in a large checked harlequin pattern. It does make me stand out at a distance, but the amount of times an enemy will come around a corner, up close, look at me and not respond is quite noticeable. I think the bright colours and pattern on my tank confuses their brain for a second. They have to take a moment to process what they are looking at, but that moment of processing time is often enough for me to get the first shot off and win the encounter. I enjoyed this video. You have an interesting and thoughtful perspective. I'd probably enjoy talking to you IRL. P.S. I think I have quite good peripheral vision from growing up in a poor and often dangerous environment, where one had to be constantly aware of possible threats. I might have been a decent army scout. :)
Thanks for watching! Painting a tank bright red and orange sounds hilarious! My absolute favorite is just watching enemies drive past me when I'm just chilling!
i must say no body has EVER mentioned that trick to me since when i watched millons if not thousands of guides on Tank RB i found out that none of these helped me but this video is the only exception that i was surprised at and this would now give my mind a fresh new ideas and able to grind higher Tanks easier thank you so much and you deserve every single subscribe and like to that amazing video
Hey thank you so much for the kind words! I am really trying to be different with my tutorials/ tips videos. A good tip is using the binos to see and shoot over berms I can’t shoot over using my gun site. Hold M1 while in binos to align your gun and exit binos while still holding M1 to instantly fire. Keeps me from exposing myself too much when I am behind cover. Loved your video

Near to Far/Far to Near is something I do regularly now. Spotting tanks through tons of foliage remains a struggle but I've trimmed the days of a few bushy tanks.
I think that one is one of the most effective. Every time a bush wookie gets killed early, is probably a teammate or yourself saved later! Keep up the goods tanking!
You are right, but I have noticed that you zoom when you try to adjust your sight to X distance, this means that you use scroll to move the sight, if you want you can de-activate that in your settings, just go to Controls --- Tank --- Camera --- then at the bottom, right before the last one there is a "menu" called scroll (I think, I'm not english) which is going to be set on Zoom, click on it and select nothing, it should resolve that problem
Great video. Instead of bushes, I use stretched decals that make my tank look like it is burned out. I will sit amongst other burned out tanks and turn the engine off. Sometimes I sit inside the cap point. Many times (not always) enemy tanks drive right past me. Some will actually stop and sit right near me. I then can decide to fire on that tank or just sit there to prevent them from gaining the cap.
Great vid man, how about Binoculars+Range finder and Firing(white Circle). I think that would great vid cus alot of player are having trouble with it :(
I would consider doing one. I wanted this one to be more of the mental side of it because that side of it gets lost all the time. Everyone is aware of the shooting but not the mentality issue!
Maybe I'm new to warthunder, but this the first time I heard bush is overpowered. In maps with lots of trees sure but calling it op is just being soiled.
I do not agree with that last take. It's true that busher are not only not OP, but depremental in some maps, like in the example you just put, but GL finding a ASU-57 covered in bushes in a forest. That's OP, and if it's OP, AND P2W, it's just not good. Also, it's not even fun to kill people like that, ask me how I know...
I can definitely understand that perspective but if you don't like bushes and think they are P2W when you can earn them for free in the warbond shop, then go play the mode they have called arcade. "Over powered" implies that the tank or object in itself is powerful with minimal player input or skill. However, players still have to determine positioning, engagement timing, and aiming. Therefore, the player still has to input a lot for the tank to be successful, so by that definition it is not over powered.
@@RoneK_Actual you can't obtain them now, and I just don't want to play arcade, not my type. "OP" is literally Over Powered, over the power of the rest of things. Having bushes gives you a wining advantage in some situations that can be achieved in almost every map? Yes, so they are OP. It it P2W? Yes, you have to pay, and when they could be obtained, it was pretty hard, average WT Tiger player can't aim, you can't expect them to "farm" or "learn to play".
@@kaidestructor7350 If you don't want to play arcade then why gripe if players drop some coin for bushes? Of course some other players are going to want to get advantages to win....there is nothing wrong with that. @@RoneK_Actual I did not argue with that, I sayd they were OP as you sayd otherwise. There are a lor more OP things in this game to whine over some little leaves. Np discussing, I think having different opinions is in fact a good thing, specially if you can back them up.
Sort of lost me with the bush speak. Even an old ARP medic like me knows trees don't move and if they do you shoot them. While your video was very good, you might want to look at how this applies with aircraft specifically helicopters. A good helicopter pilot is very difficult to spot (or in some cases like the Alouette hard to hear).
I get what you're saying. I was more or less calling out players who use camo and bushes as scapegoats for poor play. It's easy to blame camo when you rush forward and die instead analyzing the environment and potential positions enemies could be in. I'd love to do a video on helicopters in the future but I don't have a lot of time in helicopters. I dont want to make a video until I feel confident I can make a good video with some credibility! Thanks for watching!
I dont think bushes are overpowered from a camouflage standpoint. I think it is overpowered, because of warthunder's balancing problems, when you have to shoot a weak spot the size of a gnat's testicle and then its completely covered in bushes so you don't even know what you're shooting at
I would argue then don't shoot them directly. Wait for them to get closer and move into a flanking position. And if you put yourself in a position where you can't do any of those things, it was a tactical misplaced because the key to any combat maneuver is flexibility. So always look for positions that offer flexibility.
It just means you have to adjust your playstyle. And to me that's exciting and makes me want to keep playing! If I was able to do the same strat every game it would get boring! Plus I like spoiling people's camo moves.
@@RoneK_Actual yeah but i have to babysit my team and prevent them from getting steamrolled by flankers since they sadly dont have any awareness and the flanker gets a 12 streak before anyone else has the awareness to shoot them So when the flanker uses bushes it makes it nearly impossible for me to fight them alone In forested maps And due to having no one other decently aware player to shoot them it usually results In a loss losing me hundreds of thousands sl if i dont babysit them correctly and physically point for their eyes to see the scouted target So i dont sadly have the luxury of getting excited from competent/camouflaged enemies since that just means its harder for me to babysit my team to not make me go In to life long dept :( Though it feels nice when i manage to support my team enough for them not to die In the second minute of the match And If they manage to survive on their own, it makes me proud of them since They have learned and are not just a part of the hundreds of thousands of incompetent big 3 players
