Wallace insulting the stuntmen’s skills is so funny considering he was the one who taught Scott how to fight to begin with. So he probably does know how to fight but just chooses not to cause he’s Wallace.

@@InktheImpassive He's frequently presented as his mentor and even teaches him some techniques (namely the "spreading chi over your body" one which _he_ learned from Mobile) in the graphic novel. He didn't teach him how to fight in general per se, though
Pretty sure he didn’t teach him how to fight. Even context clues from the comics implied Scott just got into fights in school and that’s why he’s a good fighter. Meanwhile Ramona simply lived in America so it’s a given. In fact Wallace shows no skill or capability in fighting. He’s more so just the witty mentor

They actually don't get along, even in comics. The only reason they became "friends" was because of their mutual hate against Envy.
It's always been implied that Wallace has been attracted to Scott. He knows better than to be too hung up on it, but I'm sure he can't help but look at Ramona as being "the other woman" for lack of a better term.

Ramona vs the Wallace doubles was quite literally completely inspired from Naruto vs Sasuke in part one, this is the exact scene, shot for shot, of when Sasuke was working all of Naruto's clones. especially the twirling backflip at 1:41. I loved this way too much but yeah the exact chorography was so noticable to me lol.

There’s an interview video where the creators say that a whole bunch of scenes where meant to mimic and reference the anime’s that they grew up watching so this is probably true.
If MTV TV awards for best fight for 2024, this should be nominated. That way Wallace can win another award

You know this is an actual reference from the movie, for example: In the movie, Scott had to fight not just Lucas Lee but also his stunt team and Scott defeats them all and then fights Lucas in the end. In the series, it’s Envy who has to fight Wallace and his stunt team but instead she makes Ramona fight them for her and Ramona does succeed in beating them but doesn’t fight Wallace because she’s wondering why Envy’s making her fight him.

It’s only a bit disappointing to start off, for people who are new to the Scott Pilgrim franchise and just wanna know the original story without having the trouble to get all the comics. (That’s me but still, ngl the anime is still hilarious and good)
I really liked Ramona's stunt work in Captain Marvel.

In the comic, he steals Jimmy from Stacey but he doesn't make Jimmy to be as devastated as Todd did in Takes Off. He also verbally abuses the actors in this scene. Then, he kicked out Scott in the future.
