Indian Institute of Science Bangalore is a top-ranking university in India. It was established in 1909.it offers many courses like BS and MS research programs, MTech , M-Des,M-mgmt, and Ph.D. programs. Bachelor in science (BS) program required 12 passed or appearing students.Bachelor of science BS is a 4 year full time program. A student must have qualified any of KVPY, NEET(UG),JEE MAINS or JEE-advanced with required cutoff.
IISc Bangalore is best suited to those students who want to go in the research field. Students should make a strategy to get admission for IISc Bengaluru from class 11th or from 9th class if possible by taking interest in science subjects.

Firstly, IISc is not a "college".
Secondly, no one goes to IISc with placements as their main goal. Placement is just a byproduct.

@@technoprabhat4009 Not meant to hurt you but you can't do research in every field. You should choose a specific field of ur interest. U asked about benefits, ya u definitely get benefits but u should not go to IISc if u want benefits only, it's research field hence u won't get any fancy package or something so choose wisely

I'm currently an undergrad student at IISc (got in through KVPY though I was also eligible through JEE ADV) and I feel like you have a done a really good job at summarizing the selection procedure (kudos for that!) but at the same time you have gotten one or two things wrong that I would like to point out:
Firstly the cut-offs shown for OBC and SC/ST as being close to 20k or 70k is not correct. I mean sure this number does show up on the website and so officially speaking it is correct. But keep in mind this is after the final round of counselling, where IISc conducts one round of "spot counselling" where they ask students from reservation categories (because the seats aren't filled usually in this category) to come join the institute and so just to keep the margin safe they keep this cushion of 50k rank or so for SC/ST. There is no guarantee that you will get an offer letter by IISc if you are a reserved category student in that margin, it only happens when seats have been left unfilled (that fortunately has been the case for last 2-3 years but it may as well not be the case next year ). Moreover, this spot counselling happens in early August (which is very late from an academic standpoint) and I would not suggest relying on that (its almost a gamble of sorts). In my batch personally speaking only 1 or 2 students got in through spot counselling, the rest 100 or so are people who had ranks under 250 to secure their seat in BS program.
Also, about the fees: you did get the number right, it is indeed around 15k a year from second year onwards but there's one more thing that I would like to mention here and that is the fact that this is only the academic fees, one also has to pay 5k a month as Mess + Hostel fees, which adds upto 60k a year. So the total fee is rather 75k a year. A point which is worth mentioning here is that every UG student whether he/she got in through KVPY or not gets a scholarship to study at IISc (if you did not clear KVPY and got into IISc through JEE instead then you get something called "Inspire fellowship" which is equivalent to a KVPY fellowship), that scholarship is around 80k a year and so effectively you can pay all your fees using that and still be left with some savings.
Lastly, I agree with your views about how IISc should give offer letters directly to olympiad medalists. Hopefully, the committee will look into this (we do have IMO silver medalists in our batch but they got in through their ranks in these national-level tests instead, which in the hindsight is not how it should have been).

If we compare India to many European and American countries in reference of education, we find a huge difference. However, Indian government can make some changes to improve quality of education. And definitely India will compete with other countries.
India had lost so many intelligent people in past years.
Most of the students in India are preparing for IIT-JEE or AIIMS and for other top Institutes just because of high salary package. But this is not good. Mentality of students will definitely change if government will take steps towards this DISSCUSSNABLE TOPIC.
