Good review. It would be cool to hear the heavier amps/ tones with a humbucker equipped guitar... can't really judge it with the twangy Tele. Thanks! ☮
With the exception of the Solo 100 ... i gotta say the gainy/distorted tones are pretty, well, abrasive, not quite cringeworthy.. but damn near.... yet when you rolled off the guitar volume, it really helped warm it... BUT ----- those first 2 or 3 clean tones were fantastic, and really, those can be hard to get from VST.
This into my Digitech CabDryVr (stereo/dual cab Impulse Response unit) would do the trick, yeah? Is there a way to turn the cab sim on the Nux to "off"? It probably wouldn't matter, these older pedals don't use IR. Not dissimilar to the Joyo "sound" series.
I thought it sounded OK, and you're right that it would be a handy thing to own. I think it hit the F tones pretty well, but it really didn't give you any gain when you wanted it. I also think it somewhat missed the boat on some of the heavier amps, but maybe with some tweaking it could produce something workable. I would have liked to hear something like the dual rec on a clean. Just to be clear, I'm talking here about usable amp tones and not how well it emulates the actual amps. Overall, a cool pedal and something worth looking in to.
SHANE I noticed none of the amps had much gain and then I saw the screen and the amp sim was off the whole time, I thought they all sounded too similar then I noticed that, check around 7:43 in.
I am presently running a Fractal FX8 into a Yamaha THR100H Dual 100-watt 2-channel Modeling Head...To go directly into a PA, I'm considering the Nux Amp Force...All I need is the clean Fendery model...Would you guess this Nux will sound comparable to a high quality Yamaha product like the THR100H?...Thanks for your help...Great review and playing too!
Hi Shane. Can you plug this in directly into studio monitors without using an audio interface? Just want something for practice without opening the computer. Thanks!
next time the boss ir 200 ? And maby a comparison. The cleans sounds very good . The drive sounds ...I don't know . Seems like the boss ir 200 has better drive
Perfect would include a reverb ;-) possibly also a direct out/link to split the signal form pedals to amp and FOH, a dedicated XLR out is what I look for also.
Shane you're a great example of what you don't play is as or maybe more important as what you do play..🤔 Tasty will always win the day mate.!!! Love the Nu-x stuff. Bought the mini amp on your recommendation & don't regret it a bit... No buyer remorse here.!!!
***** American sound is really great. This sounds really nice on the Fender models but has more options. I'm not sure if it's any better on the fender models but it's way more versatile because you can change the cabinets and stuff on there :)
Can't say much about the specific Vibrolux or Super amp sims, but I absolutely love my Vox Tonelab ST and the various Fender cleans it offers. People always ask me what amplifier I am using and little do they know that the Tonelab ST is behind it all!
Quick questions: Is it possible to run this into delay and reverb and then directly into a laptop to record on garage band? Would I need to buy some sort of chord that converts into a USB cable? Does that exist? Would I need to buy a DI box or is part of the idea of this to not have to use one? Great demo btw. Other demos of this pedal are not very good.
I don't like the fact that the boost function only works when using the presets. When you set up and store your own programs the right pedal scrolls thru your saved channels/programs.
Anytime. Yeah, that's cool. I'm about to get one but there are some comments that pedal come with damaged jacks. I'm interrested about your expirience with that pedal. Thanks in advance. Cheers, mate. :-)
hey ritchie , the nux pedals that have bad jacks are not the force series , they are the more affordable smaller units with no display , those run 35 - 45 dollars , have less features . i own three nux force , time amp and mod , for over a year no issues with any .
Guitar&Jam It responds pretty well to volume dynamics so if you turn down it cleans up. It sounds great. It feels good to play and some presets are better than others in terms of dynamics.
+intheblues I am buying the NUX MG-200 modeling processor based on this well recorded review Shane :) It should have the same sound quality as this Amp Force since they are made the same year and have the same TSAC technology
The guy needs an Esp with some bad ass pickups to really sell that pedal! The days of Jazzy fenders are over. That single coil can not deliver what a dual pickup can.
This is a toy producing totally unrealistic "simulation." I bought it and returned it immediately. You shouldn't be advertising this as "awesome" box. Total WOT..
It sounds unrealistic to me also, was wondering if in person it would be different but you back my thinking. Do you know how it compares to Joyo sims? Like AC Tone, British Sound etc. I wanted an amp sim to play directly through the PA.
It sounds very treblie. The secret of modeling amps and stuff is sometimes back off on the treble to make them sound good.
Good review. It would be cool to hear the heavier amps/ tones with a humbucker equipped guitar... can't really judge it with the twangy Tele. Thanks! ☮
Hoy lo compraré sin duda alguna!!!
Ya lo compré y suena increíble! 🎉

+KyleCarrington Solo 100 is mine best
KyleCarrington I've dialed in a rather good Rectifier tone. Reminiscent of Richard Kruspe's (Lead guitarist of Rammstein) tone.
Are you listening through a phone speaker?

great review. How does it compare to the Sansamp gt2 or the similar Palmer pocket amp when connected direct to PA/PC?
SHANE I noticed none of the amps had much gain and then I saw the screen and the amp sim was off the whole time, I thought they all sounded too similar then I noticed that, check around 7:43 in.
Yes, all the amp sims appear to be off. I knew something didn't sound correct.
Also FYI for those of us who speak English as a first language the pronunciation is "New EX" (NU-X )
So I can just plug my guitar directly into this? No need for cabs or combos or power amps?
thanks for the review and the demo man!
i think i'm going to buy this thing..
nice shirt btw..
cheers!! :)

Hi Shane FYI The Super Lead patch - is a Marshall Super Lead 100 :) ('59 or '68)
I have'nt heard the sweet tone that sells me! Harmonic sound that sounds better when distorted!
May want to play between Gain and Master a bit more for things like the Plexi and so on. Makes a big difference on the real amps. Just sayin'
Really liked the Super Lead tone!

what amp model on this would be closest to a fender hot rod DeVille 410.?
What is the riff you play at 11:05 ? It sounds familiar but I looveee it.
Perfect would include a reverb ;-) possibly also a direct out/link to split the signal form pedals to amp and FOH, a dedicated XLR out is what I look for also.
The trick here is that fabulous Boss FRV-1 pedal
Shane you're a great example of what you don't play is as or maybe more important as what you do play..🤔 Tasty will always win the day mate.!!!
Love the Nu-x stuff. Bought the mini amp on your recommendation & don't regret it a bit... No buyer remorse here.!!!
great stuff! could i ask you how it sound into the input of a Guitar amplifier ( i mean, used like a distortion\od pedal))?
I have the Joyo American Sound and it sounds fantastic for recording, how does the NUX compare to that one ?

Awesome ! Thanks for the reply. I love your channel :)

Few questions.
Mg 100 or this?
Does it have a noise gate?
Does it have modulations?
Wow... This is crazy... This with a digitech multi effects pedal and you have a complete rig... lol technology is crazy these days...
amp sims and digital effects are there for decades... only thing is the quality is getting better
Hello, any idea if this would work going into an IR loader straight into mixer for an ampless setup?
Do you think the blackface or another low gain simulation could be a clean amp sim to take other drive pedals? Well
You put the reverb after the amp pedal? Would the reverb pedal turn the signal back guitar level instead of line level? Interesting to try....
Question, does it have reverb ?
Donovan Kong I don't think so

That's totally amazing
I don't like the fact that the boost function only works when using the presets. When you set up and store your own programs the right pedal scrolls thru your saved channels/programs.
hia. i was wondering if the boost button can be used independantly to boost a totally clean signal?
thanks
Can it be used as an amplifier simulator and as a direct box at a time?
Regulating the output signal so it does not make noises?
Do you use the FRV for buffer as well as reverb too?
This is sweet. Not too expensive either. Just what I need for my church. Thanks!
Great review, keep on. Any chance for NUX Time Core? Cheers, mate.
ritchie1802 Thanks. Yep, it's on the way. :-)

Is this still in production?I can't find any shop here in the ph that still selling this pedal
Hoje em dia é muito melhor comprar o flamma fs06, bem mais atual e suporta impulse response
Hey bro which do you think is better this or boss gp 20 ?
would like to know if you have epoxy cover your fred bluring my eyes?
Can 1 turn back from P3 to P1 again without through all preset?
So to make sure here, you CAN put a pedalboard in front of this thing and be ok right?
I’m thinking yes just like a Steymon Iridium
Nice review, good work, bro! What about Time Force Delay, also by NUX? Thanks ;)
Can I turn off cab simulation in this pedal?
can I use that pedal for bass guitar..please help me
Does it have any fuzz?
nice videos!
how does it reacts to playing dynamics ? do you get that 100% solid state feeling ??
Guitar&Jam It responds pretty well to volume dynamics so if you turn down it cleans up. It sounds great. It feels good to play and some presets are better than others in terms of dynamics.
ok i hear ya ! thx .. i asked you on your facebook if you ship to france , maybe you could answer me here :) thx in adavnce;.
+intheblues I am buying the NUX MG-200 modeling processor based on this well recorded review Shane :) It should have the same sound quality as this Amp Force since they are made the same year and have the same TSAC technology
I'm from India where can i buy this ??
or where can i buy this from USA
does the guitar center have this??
Bang Good is another option: www.banggood.com/NUX-AMP-FORCE-Distortion-Guitar-Effects-Pedal-Modeling-Amp-Simulator-p-1055278.html

can we save the setting like a profil or something?
You can save 9 user presets.
Jamie Bales can i get the tone like slayer and lamb of god with those eq manually?
I'm not sure, because I haven't tried it. But it has emulation of both the JCM 800 and the Mesa MK4. Which are the amps that those bands use.
Jamie Bales can i save the 9 option as all using jcm 800 sound? or each amp 1 preset only?
Yes you can save 9 JCM 800 sounds if you'd like.
Built in cabsim?
Yes
Shame it doesn’t have an XLR out for going direct to mixing console
alot of them sound very very similar,,, seems an over kill
Is it 'Nux' or 'New Ex'?
Can I use it with a cabinet directly??????
I can't see a speaker out, so you prolly can't run it into a cab.
Sound has to be amplified to come out a cab, so you could use it with a cab but you'd have to run it through a power amp first.
Jeff Thompson or a powered PA cabinet of course.
imput is stereo?
The guy needs an Esp with some bad ass pickups to really sell that pedal! The days of Jazzy fenders are over. That single coil can not deliver what a dual pickup can.
The days of metal are over do you mean?
"This one is called the Super Lead, I'm not sure why..." because it's a Marshall Super Lead model :o)
Why did they not include dual inputs. Why bother with dual outs with out dual inputs. Kind of dumb design.
Pretty cool little booger
Wrong guitar for high gain
Genius HD But this pedal has a mesa bogie on it.
Edit: My mistake I thought youre referring to the pedal. My bad
