I am trying to troubleshoot a trans x 100 mm dropper that came on a bike I purchased, the post is very spongy when you sit on it moving two or three inches, when I removed from bike I noticed that you cannot manually flick it and make it rise, and it will never lock into a lower position, any idea what may be going on before I attempt to disassemble this thing? Sorry for the rambling message and thanks for your time!
The spacers don't hold any weight, just limit the travel. The weight is still supported by the oil within the post mechanism. Here's a good visual of how a dropper post works. ruclips.net/video/0Bg2E8YgF-w/видео.html In essence, the spacers are doing the same thing as lowering the post by whatever height they are, without having to do that every time you put the post up.
Wait you get a dropper with suspension post? Exactly what I'm looking for my new fox transfer is way to big at 150mm can never get it set to the right hight again for ages after drop it abd put it back up actually sick of it

That's a rebranded tranzx seatpost and they use similar method to adjust available travel droppers.

Depending on weight im guessing as these will crush easy under load?

Will this work for a PNW Coast external dropper post with air suspension? I can’t find anything online. I need to lower my travel by 1”-1.5”.
