Chloe was starting to doubt if she could fix things between her and Lucifer in season 4. The car scene empowered her to keep trying. She understood that work=Chloe. It was all the motivation she needed. You could see her become more supportive, soft spoken, and patient. She knew what he was going through was a result of her actions and she seemed genuine in her desire to repair what they lost. He did the same thing for her in season 3. It was his fault that they had become strained.

I feel its going to be a bittersweet ending, Chloe will die saving Lucifer. it will mirror season 1's pilot episode where she is shot but this time Lucifer won't be able to save her.
"What I saw was my partner".....God that scene (and the following one) was torture for me...I could have forgiven Chloe's deciding that she had to send Lucifer back to Hell for the safety of humanity if she hadn't behaved so heartlessly. Saying the thing he most needed to hear and not meaning a word of it, indeed using it to set up the trap. S4 left me lukewarm about Deckerstar. Ever since this scene part of me had been saying Ditch the Bitch Lucifer. She doesn't deserve him. He deserves someone who sees what he truly is, and Chloe is still clueless on that score.
Shes the only one who truly see's him as who he is. Shes not affected by his mojo or those charms. She was afraid at first, yes. But she realized she cant live without him. She rather have him in her life than not.
Can't blame her at all..she was in need of help with the realization that he's Satan. But her feelings told her that history and myths were wrong about him and she couldn't live without him because she sees him and history was lying!!
Just ran thru all of it again waiting on 5b lol. Season 3 dragged but the important episodes towards the end especially w charlotte were freaking phenomenal. And 5a. Amazing! Show just gets better in better..5b and 6 are gonna put this show In my top 5 and i watch allot lol. Leftovers, 6 feet under, dark, are a couple others that separate from the pack..they were all mind blowingly exceptional.

He was aware that his powers don't work on her and that she makes him vulnerable. That definitely makes her special
