Today all the doctors are trying to kill me with 4 prostates, 8 hysterectomies and a 20 part colonoscopy along with 20 other cases. Sailor Moon Crystal is the new series that started in 2014 and just dropped the Dream/Nightmare arc on Netflix this summer. Still relevant, Seth! Don't let the jackals get you down!
Also, the original Sailor Moon ended in 1997 in Japan, but was picked up in America 1998. With all the movies and adaptations of Sailor Moon though it could be a slippery slope as to when it officially stopped airing. Especially now with the new Crystal adaptation. Don't go down that rabbit hole Seth! The anime community is worse than the knitting one!
I love how Seth ends it with "See me in two weeks." Knowing full well what would have happened if he used the normal phrase "I'll see you all in two weeks." The student....is becoming the master.
This show is absolutely one of a very few bright spots in the really dark place that's my world, now. As a professional transcriptionist, I feel obligated to defend the closed captions. If the laughter is light but the caption reads full (LAUGHTER), maybe that gets you fired. Maybe your children go hungry because you were too nice with your caption. BAM, have fun with your second or third mortgage, all because you mislabeled that laughter in Corrections. It's a cold hard business, closed captioning. And if the laughter is light, you've gotta types it as you sees it.
Whoever told you about Sailor Moon obviously didn't know about the new series and movies. One of them released this year (Sailor Moon Eternal I think?)
_Sailor Moon Crystal_ released it’s first movie in the US (Netflix) this year. It premiered in Japan and other markets first, in 2020. But the latest *episode* was in 2016, released simulcast in Japan and the US. I don’t feel he was wrong. _Crystal_ is neither complete (in order to say “last episode”) nor just “Sailor Moon” like the first series (US title).
@@vysharra I think it is fair to say that the last (as in most recent) episode of Sailor Moon was in 2016. It is not incorrect to say 1997, but it's more kind to say Seth was only 5 years wrong instead of 24 years wrong.

Fun fact, there is not just one “The Scream”, there are two painted, two pastels, and a number of surviving prints from a lithograph, which really means that we should talk about a “The Scream” rather than treat it like it’s just like… one singular artifact. Like, how weirdly there’s a second Liberty Enlightening the World, which is 1/16 scale so far less impressive, but was made by the same sculptor, which at least to me, gives it a little bit more merit to be called a second Statute of Liberty rather than just being “a replica”.
_we should talk about a “The Scream” rather than treat it like it’s just like… one singular artifact_ Furthermore, the title in Munch's native Norwegian is simply "Skrik", not "Skriket", so in English it should just be "Scream", not "The Scream".
... and then we could call the first one he painted "the original Scream", the second "Scream 2" and so on, thus avoiding all possible misunderstandings.
@@Jacob_Junge then "Scream, in pastel", "Scream in pastel 2", "Scream 4 - still screaming", "Scream 5- Shaddup Already! Some people gotta work in the morning!" "Scream 6- Ohhh, you gonna make me, Mr Tough-guy?"

One evening I was walking along a path, the city was on one side and the fjord below. I felt tired and ill. I stopped and looked out over the fjord-the sun was setting, and the clouds turning blood red. I sensed a scream passing through nature; it seemed to me that I heard the scream. I painted this picture, painted the clouds as actual blood. The color shrieked. Edvard Munch

Thank you Seth. From the bottom of my heart thank you. #1 show of Late Night. Please give this show an Emmy. If not then we even more appreciate this high quality show. This show is really everything. I have become a super fan over the last two years.
Thank you Seth and the entire Corrections team for making this year so much better! This episode was full of ‘jackal bait’ and knowing we won’t get any resolution till next year is sooo apropos! Have an awesome Christmas & a Happy New Year! Come back soon!
Fo’ sho apropos
I don't think there is a Corrections team, Seth writes/ad libs it after taping the real show I think
So I’m a healthcare worker who cuts up body parts looking for disease and cancer. Today all the doctors are trying to kill me with 4 prostates, 8 hysterectomies and a 20 part colonoscopy along with 20 other cases. What was a really rough day was made a lot better by watching this on my break. Welp, back to the prostate! They said I couldn’t do 4 in one day but spite is what fuels me, so I’m finishing them all before lunch.
I always thought I'd love a job where a common way to end a conversation might be, "Well, back to the prostate!" Now I'm not so sure.
Wow, the imagery is strong in this comment! I can't un-imagine your job now 🤣 nice! ALSO...Thank you for STILL being a healthcare worker at this late date. 👏
@@lb5368 Oh I started working in healthcare beginning of 2020, so I’ve known nothing but chaos lol and I didn’t even get paid for the first year because I was doing my clinicals.
Deep Cuts, an excellent album from The Knife.
It helps you cool down.
12:15 - Challenge accepted. (On a less confrontational note, thank you Seth and your whole team [including the graphics department] for making this year a bit more bearable, and congrats on your new baby, I hope she grows up calling them lego bricks.)
Corrections is such a blessing 💖 thank you Seth and the whole Team for this treasure!!!
Michaelangelo painted the Mona Lisa?
Ok now I'm sure you're purposely messing with jackals lmao
The Mona Lisa is Renaissance fantasy trap art. It's now Leonardo imagined himself as a woman. Look it up.
Sitting here knitting and so wanting that Corrections Jackal mug.
Maybe if you knit a baby blanket for his daughter (with her name on it, not just the initials, as he's obviously sensitive about that), he'd send you a mug for free.
Ok but can we be reallly real!!! I shed a tear that I would have to wait until 2022 for another corrections!!!
If only jackals could hibernate...
Many thanks to Seth and the crew for providing us all with humor throughout this year. 🙏💚 Corrections is one of my favorite segments! Have an amazing two weeks off! 🌟
Also I think there’s a movie that came out this year?
I love that one extra loud laugh that always ends the crew’s reactions, lols.
My favorite is hearing Amber's distinct laugh.
Drinking my coffee watching corrections before I get ready for work has become my friday routine. Thank you Seth
Drinking anything while watching corrections can be pretty dangerous for your phone/monitor though
I love how Seth ends it with "See me in two weeks." Knowing full well what would have happened if he used the normal phrase "I'll see you all in two weeks."
The student....is becoming the master.
The reason he says it IS because he was already got corrected about it. It's a running joke for many corrections.
This show is absolutely one of a very few bright spots in the really dark place that's my world, now. I need to thank you, because you still manage to be able to make me smile, somehow, even if every commercial this time of year makes me cry. You have no idea how much those rare smiles mean to me. ❤❤
Hang in there, M.A.N. 😉 !
You left Wally off the naughty list 😜
Thanks for making this year a little bit better! Love you all!
I'm looking forward to another year of houghtful humor, dad jokes and hijinks from your writers and crew. Happy holidays from my family to all of you and all of yours!
Thank you for making these segments, they're seriously my favorite part of this show now. I look forward to them every week.
And if the laughter is light, you've gotta types it as you sees it.
...or hears it. D'oh, you've been corrected!
@@realityjunky Oh no! Now _I've_ been jackal'd!!
@@WTFPr0m Consider that a high honor!! You're in very good company!
I've done transcription work in the past, and agree with this comment completely.
This has to be the best late night on RUclips. Pure Gold. Thank You!
There were actually multiple reboots of Sailor Moon since 1997, including a live-action series and a separate anime.
None of which were titled “Sailor Moon” in the US, unlike the DiC dub in ‘97.
You know damn well da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa…quit fishing, Meyers! That’s not how you catch Jackals! 😂
Whoever told you about Sailor Moon obviously didn't know about the new series and movies. One of them released this year (Sailor Moon Eternal I think?)
Indeed....
@@vysharra
I think it is fair to say that the last (as in most recent) episode of Sailor Moon was in 2016. It is not incorrect to say 1997, but it's more kind to say Seth was only 5 years wrong instead of 24 years wrong.
@@OriginalPiMan you my dear are a super jackal!!! 👏👏👏
@@vysharra Come on. We need the day and the month.
Layers, there are layers and layers and layers of tangents and pure comic gold in every “corrections”. Thank you Seth and your fab team!
Hey, my correction made it in!! I'm so happy. Merry Christmas, Seth and crew!!
My favorite Corrections moments of the year are probably the Sloth impression, Cicada Cicada, Shoemaker and the Elves and The Gift of the Magi and the defenestrations of Prague (from which I learned actual stuff). See you next year!!
Mine did too. What was yours?
Don't do Sloth at impression camp is pure gold!
Congratulations to both of you! It's an awesome feeling when you hear your correction mentioned.
Genius. Nothing makes me laugh like Corrections. Thanks Seth and the crew!
17 minutes of Corrections? It must be Christmas 💜 -x-
Thank you heaps for Corrections Seth and the team. Its been a tough year for all and this chaos has helped me find a little joy. You make this Jackals week each week. Also yes on the Corrections merch. Huge shout out to the Graphics department, top of my naughty list this year (or bottom-they can decide).
I am grateful for this show being on RUclips. (I hope whatever New Year special he does I can watch too, even if it isn’t live).
I live abroad and haven’t been home in years now bc we all know why. This show is like reminder of home with its humor and heart. Thank you. Wishing everyone a safe holiday season!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Corrections!! I CANNOT emphasize that enough! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep them coming!! I especially enjoy that it's without an audience.
This is always the best but at the end i think i can hear Walley laughing heartily and that made it that much better :) I'm gonna be bored every night after work until you come back but have a great holiday everyone! ❤
The Mikey the Shoe special appearance made my week. Happy jackal here.
I am surprised you did not mention that "jackal' was featured in this week's NYT Spelling Bee game. ETA - I'd buy that mug.
Happy New Year!
I was expecting that as soon as I saw it!
Wonderful and I'm loving the stream of "Jackal" entries on the Naughty list. (and one Nice, I think Barbara)?
Happy New Year to you and yours, Seth, and thank you all for such a brilliant continuing segment.
The Nice was Seth!
_we should talk about a “The Scream” rather than treat it like it’s just like… one singular artifact_
Furthermore, the title in Munch's native Norwegian is simply "Skrik", not "Skriket", so in English it should just be "Scream", not "The Scream".
... and then we could call the first one he painted "the original Scream", the second "Scream 2" and so on, thus avoiding all possible misunderstandings.
@@Jacob_Junge then "Scream, in pastel", "Scream in pastel 2", "Scream 4 - still screaming", "Scream 5- Shaddup Already! Some people gotta work in the morning!"
"Scream 6- Ohhh, you gonna make me, Mr Tough-guy?"
@@heatherm2140 and the little woman by a river in Paris?
@@heatherm2140 Your follow-up to J Junge's fun comments are a good extension of the motif. I don't feel clever enough to add anything more than, since this is writing on the internet, its title could rightly be 'SCREAM'.
Seth, The Jackals, and CORRECTIONS have helped make getting through the 2nd year of the “pandemic years” somewhat bearable❤️
The other thing that made 2021 bearable is The Amber Ruffin Show🥰❤️
Thanks so much for all of this. The segment. The comments. Corrections saved Fridays. Happy holidays.
YES BRING THE VENGEFUL KNITTER IN FOR CORRECTIONS!
@R D ^this-we want the knitter as a guest on the show, while Seth has to conduct the interview wearing every piece of hand-made garb that's been sent to him (in response to his knitting/crochet conflation flub).
💙💙💛💙💙
Every.Single.Piece!!
I hope he's not a heavy sweater 😅
I’m glad to hear Seth confirm the Sea Captain is still alive and existing, just off camera.
Thank you Seth for helping us get through this wild and crazy year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
thanks for corrections seth ! It was without a doubt the best thing this year, thank you for feeling close to the person I most admire and who I am proud to be a fan!... YOU !!
Corrections became my greatest viewing pleasure over the course of 2021. TANK YOU!!!!!
It feels special being here with all you jackals. it's been a ride, see you next year.
as usual, I adored every little morsel of this - every little bit (I was a bit worried about the Hugh Laurie/Hugh Grant -bit, oh no, surely not... rewatched - two separate stunning performances - captured the essence of each actor!) - I'm going to have to rely on my fellow jackals for more insight into who was on the naughty and nice lists... ) Seth, you and your team are *fantastic* - this, is, still is the highlight of my week, gives me such joy - *THANK YOU* - to you, your loved ones, everyone at Late Night, and my fellow jackals, have an awesome, safe, happy fun break 🐾🐾🐾 ❤😘
Part of the list was individual jackals :Jackal, Jackal, Jackal..." It's so sweet to see they know us all by name!
@@sigil8386 thank you, my fellow jackal (is that a jackal on your pic) - yeah I thought as much, even watching on my laptop, still not quite big enough to see - thank you, very much appreciated
@@juliaconnell My pleasure! The best gift of corrections, I think, is the jackal community and the fact that I almost poked my nose through my screen to read that text and see if it needed correcting! Yes, the pic is of me, a jackal.
🐾❤
@@juliaconnell So yes, "Jackal" repeated many, many times for the Naughty list - we're all included and then Nice: "Seth" and Seth alone. **young children look away now** Do you think it was Santa who wrote the list or Seth?
You're right, Seth. No _Corrections_ celebration would be complete without Patty Lyons, knitter extraordinaire. Can't wait to see wait yarn creation she brings.
From our Pack to yours, Happy Holidays!
Look forward to correcting you more next year.
Cheers!
Corrections is a bright spot that might never have become a thing if not for the pandemic. Thanks for the hard work and for engaging with us, Seth, even if you did make the wrong call on "arrrdience."
Thanks for all the shows this year!
Seasons Greetings and well wishes to the crew.
Cannot WAIT for Cicada, Cicada. I'm here for that.
How fricking cute is little Axel?! Of course Seth's kids are adorable. OF COURSE THEY ARE.
Love Corrections!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Late Night Crew!!!!! Thank you guys for everything you have given us this year. We wouldn’t have made it without you ! ❤️❤️.
Michelangelo wanted to paint the Mona Lisa??? Is that jackal bait?
He knows that's Leonardo Da Vinci, right?
He knows...
It's bait.
Right?!
Well, it’s possible he WANTED to but lost his chance, like with The Last Supper.
I think they made a mistake! they can't trap us THAT easily.
We still need a Hugh Laurie impression. You ended up giving us the Hugh Grant impression. Sincerely, a jackal
Jackals like travel mugs. To keep our coffee warm while we criticize you!!! Merry Christmas to all the jackals out there. And to Seth and the family.
All the best of the season, fellow jackals ❤ JACKAL LOVE FTW
2:16 Correction: Leonardo da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa, not Michelangelo
EXACTLY!! good hunt Danny the Jackal.
I'm fairly certain Seth knows that 😂
To be fair, Seth said, "...according to Michelangelo, he wanted to paint..."
So it could be argued Michelangelo spoke about Leonardo's Mona Lisa at some point and Seth was referring to that quote.
My initials spell BAG and I can confirm that stupid kids will bully other kids over something as dumb as initials lol
I have no middle name and I got teased for that.
Much merch would be bought. I want a Late Night with Corrections Jackels mug. 🐺
Have a great break. You have all been such a joy through these miserable plague years. Keep safe
