Well said , i wasn't a nightly viewer before Covid but there's a definite niche they've found that is working. Correction feed show Show feed corrections. Corrections makes me feel like we're in the writer's room. As a comedy nerd/geek/snob its better than a podcast and so much quicker to consume.

My husband doesn't understand how personal I feel the relationship is between Seth and we (us? No, definitely we!) Jackals, because he doesn't watch Corrections with me, making me seriously question why I remain married to him after 18 years. I was thrilled to be able to point out to him that Seth told us about the birth of his daughter before announcing it on the aired show with a studio audience. Jackals = Family!

Corrections is just one way that this show stands out from other late night ones. While there are other late night shows that I watch and enjoy, this one has a connection with the audience at home that the others just don't. As someone else mentioned, you all made the transition back to a studio audience seamlessly, never losing that connection to those at home. That just goes to show the quality of work done by the entire staff of professionals behind the show and, of course, Seth. Taking internet comments and critiques and using them to make Corrections was genius and brave, given how many people love to be trolls and spew hatred. However, true jackals are respective to the show and each other (as far as I have seen) and want to make sure that the show maintains its high level of quality. The Emmy nomination was well-deserved. To all the jackals - from those who comment regularly to those (like me) who make occasional comments - thank you for the knowledge you have shared. I have learned a lot from you and I appreciate that the conversations remain civil, something that rarely happens online. Jackals are proof that comment sections can have critiques and debates without getting ugly. I think having Corrections helps to keep that level of civility because jackals know maintaining a sense of decorum will help result in the corrected information being shared. If jackals were just trolls, nobody would benefit from their knowledge because the comment section would be a dumpster fire.

Honestly, Corrections is what made me pay closer attention to Seth's humor. His ability to adapt to and build a rapport with the jackals is amazing, and now I'm as hooked as anyone roaming the streets for a baby carrot fix. Which means, naturally, I have to give a correction. Someone who you go to for a deal is a 'contact,' not a 'connect.' Happy Thanksgiving to Seth, the team, and all of the jackals. May we have even more to be thankful for next year.
I used to work at a factory where they made Cheetos and technically, it is a sauce. More of a slurry really. While it is a powder, it is mixed in with oils from frying making a very very messy slurry that take 4 hours to clean. In summary, Seth was technically correct in calling it a sauce.
A few years ago my friend was sick and they thought at first he may have had a stroke. (He didn't.) But he asked what may have caused the stroke and my response was, "the coxswain". The neurologist didn't think that was funny. I thought it was my best joke.
As a Canadian, I was thankful during our assigned time: last month. However, today I am still thankful that this segment exists. Thank you Seth and crew for turning a joke into a recurring segment and keeping it for us, the jackals.

I had the same problem regarding criticism when giving your child a name. I chose to tell everyone that since my husband was German, we were planning on naming "it" either Rapunzel or Rumpelstiltskin that way when they got their real name at birth no one complained.

Doesn’t it depend on the context? In a botanical or taxonomic or some such context, it’s a grain. From a culinary perspective, corn is a vegetable - unless, of course it’s ground into a meal, grits, or flour.

I highly recommend watching the "Corrections" playlist then. There are so many running jokes, copious amounts of snark, and Jackal comment section camaraderie, that it truly has become one of the highlights of my week.......... and as a life long, card carrying Jackal myself, I'm perfectly fine with that.
Watch all of them. You’ll be in tears, they’re so funny. And he kept it like this so those of us who liked the show without an audience still have this bit to look forward to every week.
I agreed with you about no audience until seth and his crew executed the show seamlessly from no audience to audience. Unlike all other late night shows he chose to continue acknowledging the wider audience while incorporating the live audience. To all the jackals - from those who comment regularly to those (like me) who make occasional comments - thank you for the knowledge you have shared. I have learned a lot from you and I appreciate that the conversations remain civil, something that rarely happens online. Jackals are proof that comment sections can have critiques and debates without getting ugly. I think having Corrections helps to keep that level of civility because jackals know maintaining a sense of decorum will help result in the corrected information being shared. If jackals were just trolls, nobody would benefit from their knowledge because the comment section would be a dumpster fire.
Your thoughts are so well-said, and I agree wholeheartedly. Thank you for taking the time to articulate these thoughts; I especially agree that a good jackal should come from a place of love and a desire to teach. Comments sections devolve into unproductive bile far too often, to the detriment of everyone.

I used to work at a factory where they made Cheetos and technically, it is a sauce. More of a slurry really. While it is a powder, it is mixed in with oils from frying making a very very messy slurry that take 4 hours to clean. In summary, Seth was technically correct in calling it a sauce.

I had the same problem regarding criticism when giving your child a name. I chose to tell everyone that since my husband was German, we were planning on naming "it" either Rapunzel or Rumpelstiltskin that way when they got their real name at birth no one complained.

Doesn’t it depend on the context? In a botanical or taxonomic or some such context, it’s a grain. From a culinary perspective, corn is a vegetable - unless, of course it’s ground into a meal, grits, or flour.

I have never seen a Corrections segment before and I loved it. Also, this only reinforced my preference for doing the show without a studio audience.
I highly recommend watching the "Corrections" playlist then. There are so many running jokes, copious amounts of snark, and Jackal comment section camaraderie, that it truly has become one of the highlights of my week.......... and as a life long, card carrying Jackal myself, I'm perfectly fine with that.
Watch all of them. You’ll be in tears, they’re so funny. And he kept it like this so those of us who liked the show without an audience still have this bit to look forward to every week.
I agreed with you about no audience until seth and his crew executed the show seamlessly from no audience to audience. Unlike all other late night shows he chose to continue acknowledging the wider audience while incorporating the live audience. A lot were worried a few months ago but i think theyve relieved those worries
