@@deronlouis88louis52 I worked at a prison for 10 years. I started when I was 21 yrs old at a maximum security male facility in VA. By the time I was 24, I made sgt & ran a unit w 40 officers & 450-500 inmates. I have been around criminals who were dangerous & some who just made mistakes. I’m telling you this man shows no remorse & almost was mocking the judge while she was speaking & crying. He is not remorseful. Also, if he can’t control himself in a courtroom, can you imagine what would happen if he got mad w a person working at a grocery store. Or if a woman he was dating made him mad?! HE IS A MENACE & A DANGER TO SOCIETY ABD THIS IS AFTER HE HAS BEEN THRU MENTAL HEATH CLASSES TWICE! Also, if he knew he has mental heath issues, WHY WASNT HE TAKING HIMS MEDS? Nope in the presence of a jury during a trial , that would be extremely predjudical to him. The jury is not supposed to see him in cuffs, orange or anything
The NY state court of appeals in state vs Sanders 2023, overturned a guilty verdict based on the fact the judge ordered the accused handcuffed after a verdict was reached, guilt or innocence was unknown, the decision made.
      A new trial was ordered.

This is normal. Judges are humans and they do get real with defendants. They have to be. Before they officially declare the sentence, they get the opportunity to just speak their mind. Often, this explains why they give the sentence that they do which is helpful for all parties, as well as on any appeals. It's also the moment a judge gets a shot at getting through to those people who never seem to learn, trying to convince them that they have to stop messing up in the hopes that they'll finally improve after and during they serve their sentence. It's harsh, yes, but it's very much not intended to be a nice occasion. Also, many defendants would prefer a "mean" but vocal judge over one that gives them a sentence but never actually says what they're thinking. I guess if you're gonna sit in a cell for however long, you may start to appreciate knowing why you didn't get probation, even if you hate the judge for it.

Wow, if someone attacked your wife, mother or daughter, would you be so quick to say they are being “dramatic”? She has every right to speak her truth about how she felt during that moment. To victim shame or claim she is being “dramatic”, because you think high heels easily come off??…absolutely incredibly insensitive and disrespectful of the victim in this situation.

I disagree. He clearly stated that he "tried to kill a judge today". That's attempted murder. He's violent. He's had DV arrests/convictions constantly since he was 18. His go to reaction is violence. He would've murdered someone sooner or later. He needed to be taken off the streets before it happened.
