@@SharkWithFreakinLaserBeam Well, i actually started with SF2 but only played couch with friends, never tried online (and started to be interested in Gief since SFV)
These are very good techniques! Also, always keep in mind that if the opponent catches you doing this (it's visibly obvious what you're looking for) you might be susceptible to a bait.
@@YunisRajab I just took the half circle buffer and using parry to do Super into practice mode with the dummy set to DI randomly and holy shit I feel empowered lol these tips are huge
I am just going to go ahead and say that unless you are playing against your dog. Any player will anticipate or know what you're going to do. The best way to pull of supers is cancelling and counters.
Nice pointers Veggey, thanks! Just a quick question - I'm still struggling with confirming hellstab into level 1/2 - even when I input double qcf as fast as I can on hit, the input buffer gives me a random SPD for some reason. Any input hack I should be doing for more consistency?
Doing the dfmp to super is a little hard, I also fail that here and there. I don't think I have any really good tips for that other than practicing the input from dfmp.
I'm confused as to the button priority system in SF6. Let's use Zangief as an example. If you are trying to buffer Level 2, then you can do the motion and hit Parry like you said. If you buffer it right, then I assume The MP button will take priority over MK and the Level 2 comes out. Right? Then if so, can you buffer his level 1 the same way? Or will that not work because MK will not have priority over MP if you use the Parry method? Thanks in advance. Great channel!
While there is input priority, it doesn't work in that way. The individual buttons making up an input don't have priority, the moves themselves do. The input reader is constantly trying to match up your list of inputs with available moves, and it might find multiple. If it finds a match for a special and a super on the same frame, it'll recognize both. However, the super will be performed because supers have a higher priority than specials. So it's not that the buttons you press have a priority and that results in different moves coming out. The buttons are all getting read, and the highest priority move resulting from your button presses comes out. In the example you used, super comes out instead of parry not because MP has priority over MK but because parry and super are both being input and super is the higher priority move. So this should work just fine for Level 1 as well.
Thinking about this more..... If you have level 2 and you buffer the super motion and hit Parry, will the level 2 always come out over the level 1? The input is the same and you are hitting both the MP (level 2) and the MK (Level 1). If the opponent jumps, would the system choose level 1 to do the air grab or do the level 2? If not, then the Parry option only works for level 2 and the buffer for level 1 would require just hitting a kick. Am I correct here? Thanks again for your insight.
😂😂😂 I see plenty Luke players doing this in the corner .. plenty micro movement in the corner. I just jump in them and then di Works like a charm U selling yourself out when u do that
So basically now I know what it means when my opponent seems to have a seizure.
Very informative, thank you for the reminder about using parry to do super!
Thank you for showing this. Now I can practice it instead of flailing my joy stick on the fly
My guy! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Great timing
That's great tech for Gief's level 3, thanks
Awesome to see new players learn things us old folks learned back in SF4 lmao

That’s rad, well explained and to the point.
thank you!

Great job on the vid, Perfect
doing Gods work right here
Nice tip, thanks
So.....they weren't teabagging me! 😮
Wow this is great . thank you
BEAST MODE BABY
Hmmm never even thought about using parry to activate Super thats awesome
For real I'm switching all my reaction supers to use parry

If you can use the parry button instead of mp+mk. If one is pressed before the other, you will execute the super with the leading attack button.

Brooo thats so good

I don't think this will help charge characters.
If you buffer forward and back you will never charge the move
Is there something similar for them?
I don't think its possible to buffer charge supers like this.
Wait so does this mean that as Zangief you can use parry to trigger level 3 or parry if it would otherwise be a misinput?
Thanks! Any tips on charge supers though? I play Guile and reacting with it is really hard
Just pick Luke or Ken, problem solved!
Can you buffer charge supers? If so how?
I don't think you can buffer them the same way as non charge inputs.
😍😍

Or you could press triangle and circle for an instant reaction super
But this one assumes that there's no opponent pressure in close range while you're buffering, which is not very real
Yup, which is one reason modern players are a bit harder to pressure
yeah but! this is hard to buffer this much on stick...atleast for me
Damn, this looks impossible on stick.
I play on arcade stick, so this is def possible on it.
