    Bhavna, I had done these four years before. People wont find out the difference. If serving for parties brush little oil on top of vadas and keep them , they wont turn hard.For parties you can make ahead and toss them in oven when serving. I do them for my family gathering. Cheers

    hi bhavana,
    recently i started to see your channel and it is amazing. beleive me, last sunday i was thinking to try to make vadas in oven and was planning to conduct my own experiments so that i can enjoy healthy vadas. it was really amazing and surprising when i saw this baked vada recipe.

    Bhavna, thank you for your video. I've been desperately trying to find a no deep fry of vadas as heavy oiled foods don't sit well with me. I just ordered the cuisinart grinder and the baby cakes baker and can't wait to try this out.

      You can bake them at 450F for 12 -14 mins

    Hi Bhavna
    How is the baby cakes non-stick donut maker that you recommended holding up?
    Is it still performing well?
    Is there any difference you have seen between using this and paniyaram pan. I have paniyaram pan already but thinking of getting a donut maker seeing your awesome presentation. I think wadas will be more crispy and even with non stick donut maker . Any insights are welcome.

      Hi I used 375• Fahrenheit and 20 minutes and I took out and flip all the vadas and bake for 5 more minutes. I add baking soda. U can adjust the temperature and time according to your oven type.

      Bobby Ganesh yes I added b. Soda and baked for 20 minutes then I took out and flip other side and baked for 5 more minutes. You can adjust the temperature and time according to your oven type. Insert the toothpick and check if it's done.

    Hi Bhavana, i bought this multi treat maker after watching this video and tried medu vada. how ever i try those are coming so soft and white, not turning brown or crunchy at all.

      Hum..what recipe are you following? And how long do you bake? It usually get brown quickly at bottom and the top remains little white but flip and bake again.

      i just followed traditional vada recipe. i baked for around 30 mins, it was white. ok, i will try out your recipe and let you know.

    I am going to try this recipe but have to bake it in the oven. Do you think 450C at 10-12 mins should do it with a donut mold? Thanks

      I would keep temperature high about 400f in the beginning for about 5 minutes then once vadas are puffed bake at 350 or lower to bake them properly from inside

    Hi Bhavna...I have followed many recipes of yours. I tried making baked Chakri...(Wheat Flour) but it did not stay soft. It turned very hard and didnt feel fresh just after one day. So can you suggest what to do. I want to do lot of Baked snacks and experimenting with that. I am based in US but originally from Gujarat...So I am aware of most snacks and have done lot of cooking over the years. I took up baking just last year when I came to US.
