  • Frank Miller Lumber specializes in producing the finest quartersawn American hardwood, including white oak, red oak, cherry, hard maple, and walnut. Frank Miller Lumber’s quartersawn hardwood production process begins in the log yard. Logs are selected and carried to the debarking station, the first step in turning hand-selected timber into quartersawn lumber.

The first 2:00 of this video finally clicked the simplest understanding of how to quartersaw. Obviously different when using a horizontal bandsaw but the process is clear. Thank you

That is exactly what I was looking for. The rest of video is just a commercial for the company… which is fine. I got the info I needed.

Wow, this was an excellent and informative video. I love quarter-sawn lumber of oaks and cherry mainly and this was really helpful to see. I'd dream to be able to own one of those stacks on that fork lift....

The narrator almost sounds like Robert Stack. I was just waiting for him to say "Perhaps you may be able to help solve a mystery."

Thanks excellent video. Is there a book that explains what we have just seen in order to maximize each log of different sizes because here the video shows only one size of logs.
