  • In this video, I show how to enable the ONVIF protocol on a Hikvision camera and also how to add cameras (such as Axis and Hikvision) to a Hikvision NVR.

    Hello, thanks for the video.
    How do you change the camera name in the Hikvision NVR using an Onvif protocol? It seems the NVR puts a random name and it gets fixed like that and can't find where to change it.

    Hello, I need to register Axis cameras in the Hikvision NVR. I have configured the user profile and password for the ONVIF protocol on the cameras. When I enter data into the NVR the result is always offline and I don't know what else I should configure. Greetings

    Sorry noob question. As long as camera and NVR is connected to same network and I follow your tutorial,it will work?

    can it be a ptz/rotate camera?

      Technically yes, but in practice I noticed it depends on the camera and probably the DVR/NVR as well. I have a small PTZ baby monitor which I CAN add to my DVR via IP to view it and record from it, but trying to rotate it always throws an error.

    But event on the nvr dont work, cant enable motion on the nvr an error setting fail appear. Can select square areas neither draw areas, cant enable motion button. My camera is vikylin and hikvision nvr

      Because the camera is using ONVIF and not the native Hikvision protocol, that's why.

      @bestsecuritydevices my big mistake was not buying a camera + nvr kit, all from the same well known brand

      @@bestsecuritydevices you mean the vikylin with onvif protocol should have a firmware with hikvision protocol?

    • @bestsecuritydevices
      @bestsecuritydevices  Год назад

      @@RaulPerrs-lz7fz I mean, there are limitation when using ONVIF which is an common protocol betwee the devices. Not every feature is going to work.
