  • It's possible to reallocate our analogue recorder's AI processing power to instead process IP video.
    This gives you the option to add an IP camera to a DVR - providing greater flexibility when setting up a CCTV system.
    Going through this process will also allow you to add additional cameras without being restricted to the number of BNC ports on the back of the recorder.
    In this video, we show you how to do this by going through the process step-by-step.

    I currently have a 4 channel HD SDI system all 4 cameras supplied with RG59 shotgun cable.
    Rather than rewiring the 4 cameras could I use IP down coax converters either end of each coax cable and change the system to new SPRO NVR and 4 x SPRO varifocal IP cameras ?
    I'd be running short network cables from the converters into the back of the NVR.
    OR would it just be as easy to fit your 4K CVI varifocal cameras to a new DVR ?

    If I have a SPRO DHIPNVR04 DVR, do I still need the POE switch for Method 1 to work? can I not just plug the camera ethernet cable straight into the DVR?

    • @SPROCCTV
      @SPROCCTV  Год назад +1

      Yes, you're absolutely correct. If you have an SPRO DHIPNVR04 NVR, you can directly plug your SPRO IP camera into one of the POE ports on the back of the NVR using a Cat5e or Cat6 ethernet cable.
      The video you're commenting on is designed to help users who are trying to add an IP camera to an analogue DVR. In such cases, reallocating the AI processing power to process IP video becomes necessary. However, with a pure IP system like the one you have (DHIPNVR04 and IP camera), this isn't required.
      Remember, the NVR will also provide power to your IP camera, eliminating the need for separate power cables or power adapters.
      We hope this clears up any confusion. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.

    Great video, explained perfectly, thank you spro. I got a cheap annke dvr and want to add a ip camera. Can you add one f those wifi stand alone cameras.

      Hello Riz Mark, unfortunately we are not able to comment on other brands as we do not test them. With an SPRO DVR we do not advise connecting to anything wirelessly. It should, however, be possible if the wi-fi camera is ONVIF compliant and on the same network as the DVR. If this is the case you might only receive a picture and other functionality, such as sound, might not be captured.

    How many IP camera that we can add?

    • @SPROCCTV
      @SPROCCTV  10 месяцев назад

      Thanks for your question! The number of IP cameras you can add to our analogue recorder largely depends on the specific model of the recorder and the total bandwidth capacity. However, by reallocating the AI processing power as shown in the video, you can add IP cameras beyond the number of BNC ports available on the recorder.
      For a specific number and to ensure the optimal performance of your system, it's best to refer to the product's technical specifications or reach out to our technical support team at support@sprocctv.com. They'll provide guidance tailored to your exact recorder model and setup.
      We hope this helps, and thank you for choosing SPRO!

    Can you turn a ip camera into an analog camera

    • @SPROCCTV
      @SPROCCTV  Год назад

      Thanks for your comment. To clarify, you cannot directly turn an IP camera into an analogue camera. However, an SPRO IP camera can work with an SPRO DVR if you follow the steps outlined in this video. Essentially, we're reallocating the DVR's AI processing power to instead process IP video, which effectively enables the use of an IP camera with your analogue DVR. We hope this helps, and feel free to ask if you have any other questions!

      Hi, do you specifically want a website or will an app be ok? There are many apps that will allow you to pull in the feed from different CCTV sites. If you are happy to switch between sites then the DMSS app that is recommended with SPRO products will work. If you are looking for one that you can view different cameras from different sites at the same time/on the same screen then that will be a bit more specialised and you will probably have to pay for that.
