I love the way it looks on your jeep. It’s such a clean look.
Thanks man!
Heck yeah, love my F55 fairlead and Prolink!
Happy Fourth! Good video, pretty sure everyone knows all about the factor 55 products but another video never hurts
Looks good. I have the prolink version, also in red and love it. I just ordered the Factor 55 fairlead so should be fitted on next week.
Great video ben!
Your ride is so sick I love it God bless you and have a good Fourth of July brother from West Texas
Happy Fourth!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great video I've been wanting one for a while.
Would look sick on your jeep!
Great video by the way!
thanks for the explanation!
So I’m a newbie to winching so still learning. Not trying to dig on f55 ( I will likely get the flat link) but how is this better than using something like a vanbeest bolt anchor super shackle for $47 that is already a shackle so could work by itself rather than a f55 plus a bow shackle? Or why not put something easily removable where the hook goes for storage, but then replace it with a soft shackle when you need to use it? Thanks.
I have the ProLink by Factor55. Their products are definitely safer as a closed system than an open winch hook or even a standard hook with a spring closure.
I use just a shackle or soft shackle, less weight but I also use steel cable keeps bystanders and armchair spotters away.
Just bought one!
When tightening up the bolt for D ring do you get all the way hand tight and then back it off a 1/2 turn?
I love everything on your rig... i want everything.
It all happens one mod at a time!
How critical is the rope guard they sell? I don’t see you have it on so wondering if I need it
May I ask why you went with a fairlead instead of the usual roller block?
I run Factor55 Flat Link (closed winching systems) on both my JK's. Awesome products!
Can you add the safe rope grab on that one, also what about theft prevention on it?
Go team Rugged!!
What D hooks are you using? Thanks.

Factor 55 is all about safety. Why not just use a soft shackle instead and then you have even less metal on the line? Just wondering.
Good question. Honestly I can’t answer that, I’ve thought of that before but couldn’t really come up with a reason
You have sunpie headlights correct? I like my sunpies but was thinking of going to a projector style. What does your output look like. Sharp/ crisp? Mine are like flood lights with great output but not so great on those wet days. And the snow cakes on there bad.
Yeah they are. My output is great and crisp during normal weather, during the rain it’s not the best, and as for snow I’ve never really noticed. I like the projector type but would never spend the amount most companies ask for them
Go Team Rugged!
Soft shackle?
Nice shirt, where did you get it?

3 years later and I still found this vid useful. I have a f55 link on my winch too and was just needing a quick verification on how to set the link up for winching. Harbor Freight D rings here we go!!!!!
I appreciate your vids man. im 23 and just bought my first jeep! Riding on a super budget, ideas for best bang for your buck upgrades? Winches and bumpers are so expensive :(
Totally understandable! I will try to incorporate more DIY and cheaper mods into my videos. Honestly with a stock jeep there are a handful of things you can do to it for cheap! It all depends on what exactly you are trying to do (functional vs looks) know what I mean?
I have a dumb question, never towed anything. Situation, someones car is stuck, how would you attach it to the frame of the car if it has no rope or shackle? Should I stock rope in my 4runner?
In an offroad vehicle you should *always* have your recovery bag. Why have a winch if you don't carry shackles, snatch blocks, etc for your own self recovery? I always have at least two soft shackles, a snatch block, and a tree saver in my Jeep along with two last-resort steel D-shackles on my front bumper.
GO TEAM RUGGED!!
Is that remote only for the Warn winch if not can you offer a link please?
Thanks
Link is in the video description. (Click beside the title). It works with any wire plug similar to warns

I really like those tires
Do they make them in a 33/10.5/17😬
Sadly the smallest is a 35, but that’s a good excuse for a lift kit! 😂
ok i can fit 35s just dont want the headache that goes with em
how much are they??
Not sure how much the 35s are, they are still reallly new to the market so you might have to call around to some of your local tire shops to see if they can get them
thanks nice jeep by the way
Go team rugged.

What's your favorite places to ride?
Talking about offroad? Around where I live or my favorite I’ve ever been to? Btw I don’t get notifications when people respond to my comment under there comment, so if I ever don’t reply back within a day or so then it’s because I didn’t see it haha, so just make a new comment and I’ll get a notification
its not a winch hook its a shackle mount.
$150 as compared to a $5 hook... Not that expensive???? Sure they are cool and all but thats a lot of money for a chunk of aluminum with 2 holes!
That’s the rope on front of the Jeep
I just don't see the point. If anything those are a downgrade over a good hook since you have to mess with schackels. I feel this is one of those thing where people just wanna "upgrade" for the sake of "upgrading". If winches came with flatlinks everyone would be "upgrading" to hooks. I do think that the hooks that come with the winches generally are a bit small, so i just bought a rated hook for professional use on heavy machinery and cranes. They are pretty inexpensive. Also the fact that i've never seen a "flatlink" on heavy equipment like bulldozers, tractors or cranes makes me think they are just another "i wanna be different-item" for the 4wd market. I don't mean to be rude about it, i just really think that's how it is.
I think a good bow shackle at a the end of the winch is cheaper and better in almost every category. I just think the idea of joining the factor 55 to the winch to the shackle is just unnecessary.
GoTeamRugged
That is nothing more than an overpriced shackle.
Factor 55 = Bumper Jewelry
Better to learn safe recovery techniques and equipment than be fooled by shiny finish.
They should have named the company “Bougie Offroad” instead of Factor 55. 🤣
Cool, but not a $130 cool, its a hook should not cost 1/4 price of a winch
Seems like you could just use the D shackle you attached to factor 55
