Please don't stop what you're doing. Watching your videos... even the older ones where you're just having cozy vibes in your younger years... it brought me out of a rut this past year. That might sound insane... but I wish I could tell you how it sparked the simplest light in me after a full year of having the hardest time just getting out of bed. I started experiencing the simple joys of fall... baking cookies alone in my apartment and cuddling my dog... embracing my life for what it was. Your inner joy is contagious, and I am so grateful.

I lost my grandfather this year. On 8th of January, precicely. He was a huge part of my personal developement as a human being. I grew up with him. I thought this year was going to get better but it only got worst. My grandfather was not the only one I lost this year.
I am honestly sorry you both had to go through such hard times but I am truly happy that you became a mother in the meantime. It has been a lot since I last watched and listened to you. We are also the same age and believe me, we have a lot in common. We might never even meet each other nor talk to each other but I am glad I got to know you. You are a very strong person. Keep it that way.

I lost my grandmother to cancer on November 2022 and it is still really hard, she was 65 years old and raised me. I feel represented by the part where you say your heart has a lot of scars, I feel the same and it´s hard not knowing if it will ever recover, I feel like I go through life healing a lot and being broken a lot. Thank you for putting this out, I feel seen and your words really help. We’ll be here for all kinds of content from you.

Ryan’s mom sounds like she was so lovely and it’s clear you two shared an incredible bond. My ex-boyfriends mom is still close with me despite her son no longer being in my life, and I absolutely view her somewhat of a mother figure. Found family is absolutely still family, and grief is never something you can put a timeline on. And is sure as hell isn’t linear. In the meantime take all the time you need, we will always be here for you no matter how you choose to show up online. Wishing you lots of love and healing Kalyn!❤

I lost both of my cats suddenly (I had them for over 15 years) at the end of 2022 and have accepted that the grieving process will last as long as I'm alive. I miss them every single day and always will. It's just a hole in your heart that can never heal and that you learn to live with. I think whenever we lose someone that we're very close to, it chips away at our heart a bit more. I will be forever grateful for the memories we shared though and would do it all again knowing how painful it is after they're gone. Sending you lots of love and hugs. ❤️ I know how extremely painful it can be. Keep holding space for yourself. 💕

I hope you are doing much better ma'am! I wish you the best and many blessings for your family.....It's been more than a year I have been working on myself....I was watching my old videos and all of a sudden...., it's funny but I remembered how much yours helped me in the very beginning when I first started on my journey for self improvement. Your videos were the very first ones I found on this topic, they were like an awesome ''welcome to the self improvement side of RUclips'' or something, and with a red carpet.....I just had to tell you that,.....once again, many blessings for you and stay awesome, forever! :)

I missed you so much! I am so sorry that you and your family are going through this difficult time.
I would like to say here, when you inquire about your online presence helping someone, I can say with certainty that your vlogs helped me a lot, in the darkest and loneliest moments of my life, being able to spend the day watching you doing simple and mundane things of your day to day life, brought and still bring a lot of peace to me. It makes me feel close to you as a friend, sister, someone I look up to.
As much as I love the topics you bring up here at Coffee Talk, it's watching how you put your values and ideals into practice that really resonates with me.
Please don't be afraid to change, to be who you are, to take time away to breath, because I'm sure that all of us who follow you are changing too and we want to see the real you, because in a strange way, many of us feel that we are part of your life even in a small way. I hope the dark corners of the internet don't overlap and distance you from so many of us who are here wishing only light for you.
I'm sorry if I sounded selfish, these are things I wish I had written to you from previous conversations where you question your online presence.
Anyway, I'm sending you all my love and I can't wait for you to come back.

Wether it’s a video where I’m learning something, being entertained or where you bring me in a better mood, there’s always something in your videos that makes a positive impact for me.
Thank you for making me feel less lonely and inspiring me to live a healthier and happier life.
I also wanted to let you know another way that you have changed my life for the better :
I have scoliosis and I’m in constant pain. I have been following along to a video you made a few years ago where you do yoga to Cinnamon Girl by Lana Del Rey. I’ve done it at least 50 times, and on those days I’m in less pain, and that’s all because of you and your video. So thank you ❤️

I am so sorry for your loss, Kalyn ❤I lost my dad 5 years ago when I was 22 to liver cancer. You are absolutely right that seeing someone you love suffer leaves you feeling so powerless and heartbroken. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through. My fiancé at the time, now husband was incredibly close with my dad and he didn’t have a great relationship with his dad. Similar to your situation with your mom and Ryan’s mom- so my heart almost broke even more for my husband to lose my dad as a father in law. He meant so much to both of us, we found out my dad had cancer 4 months after we got engaged and we got married right away so he could be there and walk me down the aisle. 6 weeks later he passed. Fast forward to now 5 years later- I just found out I’M PREGNANT! It breaks my heart that my dad won’t be here for it but I’m still so excited to become a mom and I know my husband and I will make an amazing team throughout parenthood. I’m incredibly grateful to have a good relationship with my mom and to see her become a grandmother will be amazing to see. Sending you love, btw I am drinking water with lime.

I lost my dad when I was 19 and my mom has been in a nursing home since I was 18. Over the years, you have brought me so much happiness and reassurance. I remember after my dad passing, I sat down and just binged your videos because your presence and energy is so positive and golden that even during the darkest time in my life, you made it a bit better.
Please don’t push yourself to make content or do absolutely anything that you don’t feel is right.
There are no words that can make any of this better or make any of this make sense, but I am sincerely sorry for both of your loss.

Grief and suffering can feel so lonely, videos like this and the people who comment really show that no one is going through anything by themselves. So many out there see this and feel seen, they can encourage each other, and I think you’re wonderful for creating a space on the internet where people can come to be motivated and uplifted. I don’t see it as narcissistic at all when your videos make people feel better, and they always do.

This hit me because my husbands mother unexpectedly passed from a terrible accident and it has been hard. She was a single mother and an inspiration , she was a mother to so many people to ones who had a strained relationship with their own or they didn’t have a mom earthside anymore. Like you and your mother.. I’ll just say I relate. My mother in law was a mother to me too. I hate she won’t get to meet any potential babies from me and my husband but she was a wonderful memaw to her 6 grandkids.
We lost my Mamaw in September and still getting over that
Lost a very sweet senior cat in November he had adopted us on the first posthumous birthday of my sweet cat Angel who had passed unexpectedly at the age of 3 in 2020
So can relate and so sorry for your loss.. it is hard but we do carry their memory and love with us until we meet again

I'm just drinking water. Gotta stay hydrated. You are so open about things and it really helps other people as well. Grief isn't something that you can rush. It lasts at different intervals for everyone. When someone leaves this world that we've been connected to it impacts us. After so many things happen in a year or months, it changes things. Changes are scary. So is uncertainty. Navigating what can and can't be shared is completely up to an individual. There's no need to feel obligated to share situations or details that you don't want to share, or don't feel comfortable sharing.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I hope you and Ryan are taking care of yourselves. I just lost my oldest sister 5 weeks ago, she was only 32 and it has been really hard for everyone in my family. You just have to take it one decision/step at a time.

I just lost my dog this week after finding out he had internal bleeding from a 4 inch tumor on his kidney. I’ve learned that the quote “grief is just love with no place to go” is so accurate. My heart goes out to you and your family. I hope that you all find peace and remember the beautiful times that you had. You are not alone!

Thank you so much for this honest talk, Kalyn. I have watched your content ever since my senior year of high school and you have helped me to navigate through many rough times and even helped me get into therapy to work on my ptsd, autism, adhd and bipolar disorder. I would never have had the guts to see my (then OCD and panic disorder) as worthy of treatment if I hadn’t see you do it. Besides that, when my mom died almost 2 years ago, your content was the only thing that helped me through the day. I was rewatching your videos and somehow got the strength to be on my own. You have helped me (and probably others) tremendously and I want to thank you for it. I wish you all the strength to get through your loss.

when you said you’re in awe of what you’re about to withstand now, i felt that. motherhood changes you in ways you can’t even fathom until you enter it. i’ve had to let go of routines and everything being tidy and embrace the constant change and mess. it can be hard. please try and be kind and gentle to yourself, you are loved ❤

And I’m seeing so many comments of others grieving, I’m so sorry to you as well for whoever you lost. Keep your loved ones in your heart. Talk about them. Say their name. Keep them alive in you 💜

I lost my friend and coworker this year on 2/8 and before I could even fully process his passing my grandmother also passed a couple of days later on 02/20; I had to mentally check myself out for a couple of days to find firm ground when everything was crumbling around me. My condolences go to you and your family; sending lots of love and peace, now more than ever I understand your pain of losing people you love.
