    Great video, I haven't had any issue with feeding on my wc68 ,I try to generally just put single branches thru and when they have a y on them I just trim it off before putting it thru saving a lot of time rather then having to back pieces out , I have found it saves me time to just do a little more trimming in advance , so I can just run things thru the chipper without backing the branches out occasionally.

    Well done. As usual I liked all the different views you took with your camera. It was a little anxious when you had the shot from inside the chipper chute as the limb was pulled into the chipper. 😳😱.......Thanks

    I keep a small Makita battery powered saw nearby when chipping to quickly cut any crooks that won’t go through the machine. It’s far quicker than getting a big gas saw going.

    I love my Woodland Mills WC88. You can’t bet their chippers for the price. I took my stand that it came on and welded 4 casters on the bottom (2 that swivel and 2 stationary) now when I am done with it I put it back in the bottom stand and I can roll it anywhere I want that’s out of the way in my garage. When I need it again I just roll it back to the garage door opening and back the tractor up to it, hook it up and off to work. Thanks for your video’s on this brand chipper. It helped me decide to get one.

    Great video very nice chipper, I've had a 8hp chipper/shredder for almost 25 years, best garden investment,☺️, the next best investment was a safety siphon(as seen on tv) lol. Lift the fuel can to sit on the loader arms and stick the hose in the tank, and giggle, 😲. So much easier...

    Walmart carries a $10 fuel transfer pump that operates on 2 D batteries. I think you would like it for fueling up equipment, no spill and no holding the cans. It's stocked with the oils. They look dinky but try it before you judge it. I have one on the farm and one at home. It's also at Harbor Freight.

    Nice job! Woodland Mill makes some really awesome implements for the rear, I’m glad you were able to adjust the hydraulic pressure and get it ironed out. If it was me I’d prolly just crank the screw all the way down and leave it 😂 don’t do that tho, I’m sure there’s safety reasons behind it not being turned that high. Those wood chips will work great in your shed, should def keep the moisture down 👍🏻

    Good evening Ed. I see the loader on your tractor and one in the back? Did KTAC let you keep the bent unit? The 50 gallon transfer tank was one of the best investments i made for the farm just with i had gone a little bigger. I added two gas struts to put pressure on the roller of my woodmaxx to help it pull the stubborn stuff through better. The woodland mills was my first choice but i picked up the woodmaxx lightly used for a price i couldn't pass up. Thanks for sharing Ed - Richie

    • @MyClutteredGarage
      @MyClutteredGarage  3 года назад

      Hey Richie. I did get the old loader back from the dealer after it was deemed scrap. I *should* remove the cylinders and hoses and put them in storage. I actually got the Woodland Mills lightly used (like once) for a good deal too. Although I drove 6 hours to get it. I don’t mind pouring the container of diesel because I really don’t burn all that much 😄

    • @HillsideAcres
      @HillsideAcres 3 года назад +1

      @@MyClutteredGarage In my opinion the six hour drive was well spent considering the lead time on some attachments currently! Smart move getting the loader back for parts.

    What about backing off the tension on the two large external springs on each side of the chipper? Would that allow the feed wheel (drum) to move up more easily and allow the same log to enter now that the wheel/drum will keep turning (after you trimmed the wishbone that is)?

    • @MyClutteredGarage
      @MyClutteredGarage  26 дней назад

      Maybe. I have backed them off almost as far as possible. I wondered about putting lighter springs on. But you also need the springs to help give the in feed “bite”.

    What model kubota is your tractor? When you run the pto do you do something special to keep the kubota seat safety gizmo from shutting down the tractor since you aren’t in the seat? Mind telling me why you went with woodland mills instead of woodmax?

    • @MyClutteredGarage
      @MyClutteredGarage  Год назад +1
