Wat a love story. Beautiful direction. Of course , in our society , it's tough for people to accept senior citizens to fall in love.If u ve guts, go for it. Only c to it, that u don't become homeless, because at that age, death is closer to u& the children may throw the woman out.Its a very scary thought.

खूप सुंदर , जेष्ठांचा एक खरा प्रश्न जो दुर्लक्षित राहतो पुढच्या पिढीकडून त्यावर एक सुंदर व सहज भाष्य , दीक्षित व घाटपांडे तुमची वयं नाही माहीत मला पण अथर्व कुलकर्णी चे वय माहीत असल्याने एवढ्या लहान वयात असा विषय हाताळणं खरोखर कौतुकास्पद आहे . एक मात्र नक्की या की या फिल्म नंतर प्रेक्षकांच्या अपेक्षांचे ओझे मात्र मोठे घेतले आहेत तुम्ही अंगावर ते पूर्ण करालच असा विश्वास आहे , पुढील वाटचालीस खूप खूप शुभेच्छा

A short review for a short film 😊. Do no read if u hv not seen the film else u may lose the element of surprise...
Being an amateur photographer, I can at least imagine/extrapolate what it may take to make a good creative frame. And here we have set of moving frames crisply and creatively woven together to make a meaningful, thought-provoking story 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 . Excellent repeat use of the morning routine, followed by the act of placing the tea cups on the table, at the beginning and at the end. Since it was clear from the first frame that its about senior citizens, I was speculating if its about a lost partner and whether she made a mistake of getting 2 cups which she may realize immediately, but then I was wrong and it was clear in the very next moment that she has a companion and it made me curious what it could be all about. And at the right stage in the flow, at the end we see the same acts repeat, when I again speculated whether she will get only one cup, or will it be two, or will she be shown realizing that she made a mistake by getting 2... and there to the viewers' delight we see 3 cups on the table. So subtle way of passing on such a deep message by making a good use of symbols.
Both the girls may not be complementing one another well, but their bond is strong. Both have lost their partners and also the kid is away so there is a void and one of them is frequently indulging herself into the memories of the lost times and the people whereas the other is more outgoing and open for experiences. Then comes the stage where we see the experiences enjoyed by one in isolation, hidden from the other, perhaps due to some sort of guilt or inability to confront... whereas on the other side we see some insecurity, loneliness and the feeling of being left out. This variety of outlooks towards life and also the variety of emotions make it a highly effective representation of the seniors' community and thus make the final message highly effective.
Amateur actors and shooting at real locations have made the movie look more grounded, better representative and convincing.
Seniors making friends, developing bonds resulting into them getting together should go down very well because of the journey the movie takes us through and how it is executed. This movie should go to various festivals, seniors' societies, NGOs and also go international because the issues, the emotions and the message, all are universal... Great job!!!
