    My estate in Western India uses quick release water soluble fertilizer from Gujarat State fertilizer corporation. We use 19-19-19 immediately after harvesting in late May early June. The soil drenching from the first monsoon pumps up nutrition for the tree when it rains. No fertilizer or irrigation is done after the rain stops in September till flowering and fruit set is complete by late December. Then we apply mono potassium phosphate again from GSFC to ensure a well developed fruit with colorful skin. Only one irrigation is done to drench the soil post application in January. Our experience with organic fertilizer was bad to very bad. The nutrient component percentage is not uniform, differs from bag to bag and usually contains industrial contamination. Using a proper chemical fertilizer ensures that I am controlling what goes into my soil with my full knowledge unlike my experience with organic products...

      Since I have been growing organic, I have seen tree frogs in my yard in the center of Houston, Tx. All the frogs are becoming prolific where they just were not in my area.
      It is so important to grow organic. I would love for the fireflys to come back from my youth.

      @carolsmith6817 those tree frogs 🐸 are eating harmful insects. The frog poop 💩 makes its way to the soil, feeding the microbes

    Hi there
    could I use cow manure instead of wood chips to mulch for mango or avocado trees? I want to save water and activate soil life at the same time. My climate is 9B and therefore very similar to north or central Florida. best regards

    • @greatergood3706
      @greatergood3706 Год назад

      Arborist wood chips are magical ✨️ for increasing soil life. Once you attract earth worms 🪱, the trees are very happy. Happens rapidly in Florida, especially if it spread 6+ inches thick

      They are in Delray

    • @TrulyTropical
      @TrulyTropical  5 лет назад +1

      We sell the specific fertilizers mentioned in the video at our farm in Delray Beach, FL. However, the nutrient composition is the most important part of fertilizer. Palm and Fruit Tree Fertilizers that are available at home improvement and garden centers will also work. Just look for similar percentages of nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium.

    Is sul-po-mag used in potted trees?

    • @TrulyTropical
      @TrulyTropical  8 месяцев назад

      It's maximum chlorine content is less than 3.0 percent and it shouldn't alter the pH of the soil, so you may be okay. But, you may want to be careful with anything you are using to amend the soil for potted trees.

    just use organic matter you dont need much and it doesnt leach like fertilisers, dont destroy our native lands by mistake, we cant really afford to take these risks as not everyone is perfect some people will let there pots leach or something, waters stuffed, lets care more than enough and fix it together, peace

      @@madhavwalvekar5426 you want to know how long it takes? banana seed can take a long time, from 2 weeks to 6 months, scratch seeds on a rock or sandpaper first to help speed up germination, put organic matter after plant is few inches tall and keep away from banana stem very important in wet climates to avoid collar rot and root rot

    • @danielacosta7717
      @danielacosta7717 5 лет назад

      The best way to fertilize is to pour as many bags as you can afford into any lake or canal so the tree roots will suck the nutrients more efficiently directly from the ground water
