One of all time favorite movies of the 80's..The movie came out the best way possible. I'm glad it came out the way it did. I was a young teen when I saw the movie. I hung with the cool kids and not a nerd.
EERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! "Who's there?? "Ah, is..." "What d'ya want?" "Is this the Stewart residence?" "Why you here?" "Ah, I come about the..." "What d'ya want?" "I come about the roo..." "Go to hell. Go away!" "Ay...ay...Do you have a room to rent?" "Not for rent." "I thought it was for rent?" "Fuck off!"
@@mrleal77 Oh, yes! That’s right. The 4th Revenge Of The Nerds movie known as titled : NERDS IN LOVE, if I’m not mistaken.( Sorry, must of went over my head). This movie was about when Betty & Louis were having a baby, while Booger was getting married at the same time. But he was getting rejected from his fiancé side of the family. Is that correct? Thank you for pointing it out. Appreciated it. 👍😎 So, correction, thank you for being in 4 R.O.T.N. movies,Stewardess School and to any other movies or T.V. Series that I haven’t mentioned. God bless.
That Beatles song, "Julia," is stuck in my head for this reason: "Hmmm... calls me/So I sing a song of love for Julia, Julia, Julia..." We love you, Ms. Montgomery (and John Lennon)!
I was 11 years old (maybe 10) when "Revenge of the Nerds" came out, and I was able to watch it on HBO a year or two after it was in the theaters. Obviously the movie was fun, but I was always enamored with "Betty", Julia Montgomery (as many were). There was a Playboy centerfold making an appearance in the movie, and even she was not as attractive as Julia (in my view). Granted, many have criticized the movie over the years because of how the script portrayed the nerds, but, it's an important piece of movie history. The funny thing is, I liked part 2 even more than the first movie; I only wish Julia had been in part 2. But still, the women in the 1980's in movies were some of the most breathtaking, and Julia was definitely one of them that got our attention. ... As I am typing this (Sunday, December 24th, 2023, 1:50 AM Eastern time), I turned 50 years old a few months ago, and I still love the movie, and in fact, I am watching it on RetroPlex as I am typing this. Cheers from northeast Ohio!
If I ever went to conevntion and met any of these actors, they need to hear a hurtful truth. Two things. I was labeled a nerd in high school and it was VERY DEROGATORY. Your in or your out be verbally and physically assaulted. Today it would be labeled "bullying". Back then it was "nerd". The stereo type of Stan Gable and Ogre were real and not college, but high school. Being smart, wanting to learn was completely unacceptable by the popular ones. Actully Larry B. Scott actually talked about it in 1986 Space Camp when he says fellow students are agitated he wanted to learn science. Jocks/Popular vs Smart or wanting to Learn were FAR WORSE than Democrats or Republicans. The 2nd thing between 1977-1989 my 12 years of school I NEVER ENCOUNTERED 1 person who ever dressed like they did in the movie. Being labeled a nerd was 2nd worst to blacks being called an N. As I said derogatory.
I'm younger than you but I definitely remember seeing people dressed like the guys in the movie albeit more so of the time period but a lot of Gilberts and Lewis' for sure. Also I think there's a lot worse things to be labeled as than "nerd".
@@PhantomFilmAustralia I can’t help but wonder...if you had, or have a daughter...if you wouldn’t mind her being filmed in the shower...as happens in this movie...without her consent?? What would be your response as a father and protector, to her being violated like that? For me, if someone did that to my daughter...NERD OR NOT...I’d FUCKING KILL HIM. And so it’s clear; Fuck feminist!!! As a father and protector...this movie doesn’t age well.
If you watch carefully at the end scene, he does jump down and join the nerds, but its very subtle haha I noticed that when it first came out on DVD lol
Apparently they only had one scene for her and it was of her cheating on Lewis with another jock. She didn't think it was right that she would fall in love with him only to go right back to a jock. It does kind of shit on the continuity of the films though where Lewis ends up liking another girl in the second movie but is back with Betty in the third.
I hope Hollywood doesn't go and try and do a reboot of ROTN like they have done with other 80's classics like, the Karate Kid. It's just never the same.
This is by far the best ensemble of the cast I've seen anywhere. Thx Julia.

Brian Tochi is still holding his beverage from the movie: "I'll drink to that!"
I still remember sneaking into the movie theater to see this film.
Anthony Edwards has always been to cool for school.
Wow,Julia you are still gorgeous. You have definitely been blessed over the years

Thanks so much jewels for such fond memories of the movie and charactors!
Robert looks like he's irritated and NOT having a good time. What's up with that? Julia is still smoking HOT~
Watching you in R.O.T.N. Every time it airs, I watch it!
So amazing!! The storytelling is phenomenal! Love the film, this cast is timeless.

Actually, the word "nerd" first appeared in Dr. Seuss' book "If I Ran the Zoo".
Timothy Busfield looks and sounds like Richard Dreyfus .

That's MY Pi
This was awesome, thank you for sharing!
Ms. Montgomery, just saw the Making of Revenge of the Nerds. Need to make movies in 2017
I wish i could have been there. Thank you so much, Julie, for not doing that scene in part 2. Would have ruined the movie.
The reason why it works, is because it was put together from above.
Neeerrrrdsss!!!!! 2022
Auditions sound like absolute hell.
Michael Lerner played Gilbert's Uncle, not father.
Two pairs beat a flush. Now here is your problem, you have too many kings.

Kept waiting for him to flip out of that chair....
That dislike was an anti nerd
It was a jock living in the gym.

I’m a nerd since 1979. Wouldn’t want it any other way.
I notice Tim said he danced to Beat It on this video. In another, he said Billie Jean. Maybe he just can't remember Thriller lol
Why doesnt Anthony edwards never join in these
Since appearing in 'Top Gun' and 'ER' he's become too good for the nerds.
this was fun
THEY DONT MAKE MOVIES LIKE THIS ANYMORE!
Feminism and political correctness killed the genre.

With all the racist and stereotypes in the movie the underlying message is powerful.

Or ted mcginley???
Julia Montgomery has still got it!
No ted mcGinley??
He has a major part in "The Making of Revenge of the Nerds" documentary, here on You Tube.
Nerds in Paradise is not the sequel we deserved. It didn't suck and I liked the addition of Snotty but it's completely forgettable.
The sound guy should be fired
Nerdu ue te
