From the catch cam on 3, the way Paul was posing, looked like he thought ace. Props to Barry for keeping a little pressure on him

Everyone talking about the camera zooming and shakiness. They are using DSLRs to film. These are great for taking pictures and slow panning. Not so much for action sports like disc golf due to the rolling shutter and lack of in body stabilization.
i think the biggest issue here is that the optical stabilisation in lens is turned on, should be at least the mode 2, if available so that horizontal pans are not stabilized, but completely off when doing a disc chase shots
And pls go further to the side. Gives us a better picture of the whole hole. Less moving from side to side. Try using a tripod.

Is the catch cam have some strange lens? Or is it too zoomed? Seems funky. Great tournament though thanks for the coverage!
Very zoomed, and very shaky.
mostly because the lens stabilisation tries to catch up and freezes the frame every few milliseconds
Catch-cam should have used a tripod and go further to the side
@@jonathanbauer9279 tripod does not fix the optical stabilisation (had to be turned off) and catching the disc fight on tripod, plus being agile enough to suddenly move is not a good idea. It would be monopod at best and i believe they already do it. And i'm sure they know the issue, just forgot to turn off the stabilizer, and they are going to fix it next time.
Good coverage, nevertheless, beggers can't be choosers and I can't complain for being able to watch a free content while sitting at home, on my couch :)

Catch Cam person needs to remember that less is more in this case. Don't worry about zooming perfectly on the disc. The viewer loses context when you zoom in on the disc and the shaking is hard to watch.
Exactly. Combined with the max resolution of 480p it becomes nauseating
Max resolution issue is only because you are so early. I am on 720. Takes time to get to max quality.

Alex Hawkins look on his pdga page, it lists upcoming tournaments he’s playing. I believe idlewild, ledgestone, are upcoming ones but I’m not sure

Where is this course
From a course designing perspective why would you build a brand new course where tournaments start on hole 6, why not just make that hole 1. Is it due to parking?
I asked the designers about that too. They said originally they didn’t want people to have to start over the water and also hole 18 (tournament hole 13) is a good ending hole. But they did say they are considering to change it to start as the tournament did because of the positive feedback and flow that was shown.

I get this is the lead card but I wanted to see Brodie and Paul! The video was okay though
Van Damage I like watching because he can be good or terrible and i love seeing the struggle for some reason! I wish he would post more, I feel like he would have made videos if he did better the last few weeks. I started playing because I watching him and Paul so I’m bias...
Really need to clean up the commentary audio. Better than round one, but still sounds really bad. Way too bass heavy, no clarity to your voices at all. Make sure to use monitors or at least very neutral recording headphones to do you mixing. Makes a big difference.
Dial in the camera work and you’ve got something good going here. But right now it is TOUGH to watch
The catch-cam shaking, and constant jittery movements is very hard to watch and below “par” for what is to be expected out of a professional disc golf tournament. Please consider hiring or training camera men, because the on course camera skills are elementary at best.
