Tip: take your stick of butter and place into the freezer the night before making these. Use a cheese grater to grate the butter instead. So quick and easy.
If you are reading this and haven’t already, MAKE THE SCONES!! They turned out absolutely delicious! Little crispy and flakey on the outside but so soft and tender in the center and the flavor is incredible 🤤 I’ve been looking for recipes I can make with my starter now that I finally have an active one going and this is definitely going to be added to the list of staples in our household! Thank you for sharing!! 💕
I made the scones Saturday morning and I also made your sourdough bread on Sunday. Two weeks ago I made your cinnamon rolls. All 3 were delicious! I had been using someone else's sourdough recipe but no more!! My co-workers agree, your recipes are delicious.
My second attempt at these are currently in the fridge to be baked tomorrow! 🩵 the recipe from the link isn’t the same as the video and it calls for a cup of milk, I followed that recipe my first go around and while I didn’t really get scones because the dough was far too wet they tasted absolutely delicious 😅 so excited to see how these bake up tomorrow 😍
Hi love, all your videos I’ve made quite a few of your recipes. Thank you so much, I just wanted to let you know that you had mentioned you didn’t know why some bakers did not ferment their batch in the refrigerator, and that they put them straight in the oven, well, I decided to do that today and actually I can’t tell a difference I think I’m going to start doing this for now on just makes my life a little bit less busier, but thanks for mentioning that. PS I forgot to tell you after I made my batch of scones. I stuck it in the freezer for about an hour so it would be a little easier to cut. ❤
I love your channel 💙 I have bought your book, its been sitting on my counter from the minute I received it. I am new to sourdough and its been so fun watching your videos and following your book...thanks for starting your channel 🍞
Eek the recipe in your notes and the recipe you go over in your video are drastically different! I was trying to do both and caught it halfway through. Your recipe in the notes only calls for one tablespoon of sugar compared to 1/2 cup in your video. Hopefully I caught it in time and my scones turn out because I was all over the place. It would be so helpful if you could fix your blog post!!
Hi there. Just placed the mixture into my fridge. I noticed that in the recipe it calls for 1 cup milk, but you use 3 Tbsp. I used the whole cup, but my batter is quite wet. I’m not sure how I will fix this tomorrow. Maybe make them into muffins?
Hey so I went to the written recipe and some of the measurements like the blueberries were not included and some of the measurements like the milk and sourdough starter were twice what you said in the video, just a heads up that it was really confusing
I mixed these scones together yesterday, and baked them today. Very good. Nice crunchy outside, and flakey inside. I have also made your chocolate cake recipe. That was delicious and very chocolaty, but had some little pieces in it that might have been starter that didn't get mixed in properly with the other ingredients. What do you think? The taste was wonderful though.
I would make sure that your flour and water have been mixed in well when you feed your starter and pay close attention to it when you start to mix the starter into your recipes. That should help!
So, there's some recipes I would love you to look into. Any kind of "base recipe" for things like muffins, cookies, cakes, dessert breads, etc. So that we have something to work off of when we want to make different flavors. Another thing I've been wondering about is making breakfast cereals like cocoa puffs, kix, Trix, golden Graham's, Cheerios, peanut butter puffs, raisin bran, etc.
I made these today and they were so good. The link to the recipe is not the same as what you did in the video. Also the link recipe says Baking Soda 1/2 tsp but the directions do not include where it is added in the step.
Thanks for the recipe, it’s simply delicious!!!! The taste is amazing, the texture is perfect… So easy too… but I followed the recipe from the Video, the written one is not accurate.
FYI the recipe link goes to a messed up recipe. It is not at all what you do on the video, thought you might want to fix it. It looks like it is a biscuit recipe. Also, I have wondered the same thing about some of your recipes that have added flour and you do not ferment.
I wonder if your page and recipe has been hacked by AI? The spelling of some words and use of language in the written recipe is not what we're used to seeing from you. Plus the fact that the written recipe is way different than your video.😮
Tip: take your stick of butter and place into the freezer the night before making these.

I was one of the one who requested a fermented sourdough scone recipe! Thank you and I'm glad you're back!

I'm so happy that you like it!! These scones are the best weekend morning treat!
You are sooo right. Love that you include fermentation time 👏🏾👊🏽
These look AMAZING! Placing this on my 'to make' list 😊
I have tried this recipe with active and discard starter and like active better. More moist
Thank so much for this recipe! Every other one I found doesn’t ferment the flour at all which defeats the purpose of sourdough for better digestion!
Excellent recipe. Baked perfectly and wonderful sourdough flavor!
Thanks!

I just made it the way the recipe states and my dough seems too wet also. Tomorrow I will bake them..hoping for something tasty at least 😆
Thank you for sharing a delicious way to make scones using sourdough starter.
Yum! They look scrumptious.
Absolutely wonderful! Thanks for this yummy recipe. Made it and turned out so delicious!
Thank you for your recipes I really love the way you explain, Not to much talking and easy to fallow !
I miss seeing you and your recipes. I hope you’re well.

Definitely giving them a try. I'd love to see a recipe for sourdough banana bread.
I'll put it on the list!
So happy a found your channel
Could you freeze this dough after it’s fermented in the fridge?
Made these today ❤

I did not catch it and now I dunno what to do with my dough …. Think I’ll add eggs and try to make em into muffins. Such a shame
Here's another request for you:
Sourdough puff pastry/rough puff, ideally fermented.
delicious

I prefer the drizzle to sprinkling sugar on top. I don’t like sprinkled sugar on top of baked goods

Can I not put baking powder?

Wait what kind of cream? Half n half? Heavy cream?
I don't see that you are fermenting these before you bake even though you state they should be fermented, why didn't you cover the fermenting process?
FYI the recipe link goes to a messed up recipe. It is not at all what you do on the video, thought you might want to fix it. It looks like it is a biscuit recipe. Also, I have wondered the same thing about some of your recipes that have added flour and you do not ferment.
Is placing it in the fridge overnight or for 8 hours not fermenting?
I don't see a video on how to make a starter.
I went to your recipe page for these and there are no instructions, just the ingredients.
So sorry for the that! I'm working on getting it up! I hope the Video is enough for now!
@@dailysourdoughHi, you haven't used baking soda in the video, but it is on ingredients list. Do we use it at all? Thanks
Oh the other video I watched the refrigerated the dough in scone form
Recipe on paper doesn’t match video portions 😂

I just mixed my ingredients can’t wait till tomorrow although I printed out the recipe and the measurements there are way different than the video 🫠
