This is awesome... Being in the FD for 16 years and there is 3 things I've always wanted to do... 1.Ride Tailboard 2. Ride open cab on a beautiful day, 3. Ride rear of tiller!!! So cool. Thanks for sharing!!! 💯
When I started as a volunteer, tailboard riding was still a thing, few engines had enclosed cabs and when it's winter in the teens at 2am responding to a fire, boy of boy would you feel it. Tiller... never had any truck or ladder experience. Like alot of things, the goodness days are gone.
It's fortunate that the Strawberry Square skybridge isn't significantly lower; otherwise, it could have transformed your tiller cab into a convertible... ;-)

Why are they gone now?@@haroldenglish943
Man, that ladder tip has had the piss beaten out of it. Another good video, Kyle!
I love the tiller point of view.
Just out of curiousty, besides steering the rear tires, does this rear driver also have a brake pedal for the trucks rear tires?
Nope, no brakes
so the driver in the front cab, actually controlls the brakes for the rear wheels as well??
