    Thanks bought the same setup for my 66 Mustang 200ci. Now I know it's going to go together without hiccups .

    Glad to see a young buck driving and working on a classic inline. You need to run the pipes farther back tho so the exhaust stays behind the car. Also slap a webber 32/36 and hei distributor on there and you wont regret it.

    This is great to see! I’ve been building a ‘70 maverick with a 250 for almost 8 years now, finally getting to the fun part. Just got a 1980 large hex log head w/ the 2v conversion done and some cheap headers, rounding up all the hardware now. Motor is bored .020 over, balanced, Isky super cam. still running the oe flat log but with a 3 angle valve job, dual springs and upsized valves (1.75 int, 1.39 ex). Stage 2 C4 trans, 3.25 rear w/ trac lock. It already runs SOOO much better than it did stock that I can hardly imagine what the big log, Weber 32/36 and eventual T5 will do for it. Great work on your Stang brotha, be proud! Big ups to guys like you who have the will and the patience to build an old ford six 👍👍🦾🦾

    Dude...where can I find those downpipes? did they come with the flanges already? I ordered a 2.5 stainless pipe kit but the piping needs to be modified. I'd rather find some ready made downpipes instead of fabricating. All that measuring & bending of the pipes would be painstaking. If I can get the downpipes the rest wouldn't be so troublesome. Any advice/links would be greatly appreciated!

    I’ve watched the whole series today lol, I’m 15 and have a 66 with the same engine and trans, but, it’s not the stock drivetrain so I’m going to 5.8w swap and put in a t5 trans. Along with doing a 8.8 rear end with 4.10 gears and 5 lug suspension and coil overs. Ooh I’m also going to learn paint and bodywork on the car, are you going to have videos doing your paint and body? But the whole reason I’m commenting is to ask when we’ll see a new video of this project, I want to build up my 200 i6 while I save up more money for the v8 swap and this series is a perfect example!

      I like the direction you going with your 66. I have a video coming in next week or so replacing the carpet and adding dynomat, eventually i will take the car apart and do body work and paint got some rust patch needs done. But I wont be doing any body work for atleast another year or so the house i own now the garage is decent size but i'm looking to buy another home with bigger garage so i can have more room and install a big air compressor so i can do all the body and paint work at home with air tools

      @@autoraysgarage8938 nice work ! My son and I just picked up the same car with red /white interior and a 6 cylinder too, same color red 66 mustang. It’s been sitting under a barn for 20 years in Oklahoma and we just got it back to Louisiana to start working on it , we plan on getting the engine running and eventually do a v8 swap to it , I got a 351 Windsor and also a 289 to choose from .

    Congrats on a job well done!! How’s the sound inside the car with the 40’s? Does your music get drowned out?
    Its almost time for my exhaust and I cant decide between the Flowmaster 40’s or 50’s. Either way, some sound deadener in the floors is gonna happen.

    • @autoraysgarage8938
      @autoraysgarage8938  3 года назад +1

      Radio does work on n my car so can’t comment on if it drowns out the music but I doubt it once I’m cruising it’s has a nice low rubble but I definitely going to be adding sound deadening as well

      @@autoraysgarage8938 My radio didnt work either, so I bought a radio delete panel to cover the dash holes. I then bought a marine bluetooth 4-channel amp on Amazon for like $50 and wired my speakers to that. I run music through my phone. Amp hides in my center console. Nice, neat, & clean.

    I enjoyed this video as well as many others you posted. I’m really curious though - do you have any noticeable leaks coming from the welds? The reason I ask is because I have a similar welder and would like to do the same to my wife’s 65.

    I’m not hating but it’s funny all of us car guys think we can do it cheaper but in the end $900 doesn’t sound to bad especially if your spending that much in supplies

    • @autoraysgarage8938
      @autoraysgarage8938  3 года назад +6

      i didn't spend anywhere near $900 in supplies the exhaust pipe kit was only $130 then some clamps and exhaust hangers another $40. Even buying a welder and helmet and gloves i still spent less than $500 all together

      For a supposed “ car guy” you have missed the point of the exercise here. He’s acquired a life skill, tools that will be used in future projects and had that sense of satisfaction in creating something from an idea in your head to fruition.
