I appreciate you going to compare the m23 to the v60 I really want to get the m23 and don't want to waste my money getting it if it's not a big differences between a smartphone and a dap in terms of sound quality. Looking forward to see your upcoming videos
Looking forward to this one Luke and hope the FiiO M23 works well for you. I used to own the M15s and was really disappointed by the sound performance and ended up it selling it after 6 months
Looking forward to you comparison. I myself own both a LG V40 as well as a Hidizs AP80 Pro-X as mobile music listening solutions and I use either or, depending on the situation. Honestly, I do not notice any noticeable difference in sound between both devices, but I also don't bother to A/B them, also because I keep switching between different IEMs. Like mentioned, depending on the situation, I pick the one or the other and I am good in terms of sound and features. Two recommendations for the phone (you might already be aware of): 1. Install the LG Status app in order to give you information about your attached sound devices and 2) Know how to trick out the automatic gain regulation.
I recently purchased an unlocked Sony A55 from Japan for its mobility and battery life. I was interested in the M23, but the size, price and unknown performance (mainly battery and UI) held me back. The rest of the specs look rather impressive though. I'd appreciate it if you could compare these two in one of you upcoming vids, doesn't have to be long. Thank you in advance.
I haven't done a video yet but the M23 sounds really good, a little better than the LG V60 in terms of a slightly larger sound stage, stereo image, etc. Not really much difference otherwise. The LG V60 sounds good too and has superior battery life, chipset, screen, etc.
@@PerputuallyCensored thanks for your fast answer - looking for focal headphone which has 106db and 35 ohm - so it wont need much power to drive them and I'm not thinking of buying more headphones... Thanks

Sure. The A55 is great, apart from the lack of gapless with AIFF format and the noise floor.
Any news on your test? Thinking of getting m23 or the lg as my dap… thanks for your help
