I can see the effort put into compiling the program to make it user friendly and the nice set of teaching videos. Thank you. Also the fact that it is open for everyone to use, no more excuses for submission of poor PXRD data and patterns with no refinement in future reviewed journal articles. It will also be nice to use the set of tutorials and exercises to teach post grads the use of PXRD. I am only commenting on the first video, but will be working through all of them and then include them in my teaching notes at university and refer them to your web site for exercises. This will hopefully accelerate the use of proper PXRD and data analysis in various applications.
@@profextutorials2325 definitely usable with the pi 400; compilation 17 min, first indexation 13 min (some faults), refinement of a typical student course sample (quartz, gypsum, calcite, anhydrite, ettringit) around 30 seconds; basis: TwisterOS; also new COD feature works (with win10 Profex crashes on import from COD); but overall independantly of OS is Profex an absolut great peace of software, for teaching as well as daily diffraction work !
It shouldn't be necessary anymore. The app is now code-signed with a certificate on OS X. You may still be asked to give it access to the documents folder. If you messed up your program settings, check out the FAQ to reset everything to default: www.profex-xrd.org/faq/#hfaq-post-1863
You can start indexing manually from "Tools - > Index new structure files". If that doesn't work, you may have to verify the configuration of the structure repositories in "Edit - > preferences - > BGMN - > repositories".
Why can't i open my profex? i use it yesterday but suddenly it can't be opened now. Any suggestion on what should i do to fix it? i've tried to re-install it but still won't work
For the record: It was probably blocked by the malware protection when it tried to check for updates online. Automatic checks for updates have now been temporarily disabled to avoid conflicts with malware protection.
@Sheraz Yousaf I can't see a problem on the server side. All download links work from here. You can try the release candidate for the next version from here: www.doebelin.org/nic/tools/profex/ It's not an alpha version as indicated by the file name. It's actually only 1-2 weeks before the next stable release. To anyone reading this later: Sometimes this link indeed points to unstable versions. I don't provide support for them. Bug reports are welcome by email but only for "rc" versions.
@@profextutorials2325 thanks sir for you help. the installation process completed. but, i am again facing an issue. i am facing only 392 directories. but in your other tutorial, i have seen 808 directories. my XRD data is not showing any phase in current state. i have found "no phases retrieved from database". can you please again help in this regard. i will be very thankful for your support.

And it even runs (better: Walks !) on a raspi 400 (oced to 2.2 ghz); really great !
Awesome! I compiled it on a Rpi 2 or 3 back in the day. It worked, but it was totally unusable of course.

I am getting an alert that api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing. what do I do now?
HI, I did not get the reference indexing dialogbox after I opened profex for the first time. Is there any way to do it manually later on?

Nice video. Can you create a playlist so that I can share with my friends?

Please send the log file (C:\Program Files\Profex\profex.log) to the e-mail address given on the Profex website (www.profex-xrd.org/?page_id=139).

One thing i have learnt from this is patience.
muito bom o video :)
Thank you :-)
how to enter the password in mCOS?
it cannot be downloaded due to some errors.
All download links seem to work for me. Maybe a problem with your browser / firewall / anti virus software?
