We sold our house in BC and found Kyle who must be an angel!!! He keeps us from making horrible mistakes and is faster than superman when it comes to showing us houses. We have never met such an incredible real estate person in our life!!
My wife and I retired from Calgary to West Park Estates just over two years ago and we love it! We don’t hear the highway or trains except on the quietest of nights and we’re half a block from walking paths and right near the river. Couldn’t be happier.
My wife and I recently (Thanksgiving) took a trip out to Alberta and spent a day exploring Red Deer/Sylvan Lake/Blackfalds and we're pretty sold on moving to the area as soon as we can sell our condo in BC for enough money. Your videos were a huge help and when the time comes for the move we'll definitely be in touch with you to help us out. Thank you for all that you do.
@@criticallycanadian should be same situation in GTA Ontario. Our whole point of moving to Alberta is to have a mortgage free home and little cash in bank too. So we can comfortably live off any job.
Some additional things to consider: When it comes to Red Deer, walking / biking is really only doable during the months when there is no snow. Once winter hits, the sidewalks become extremely icy and people aren't the best at keeping them clear. Also, if people are taking public transportation to get them north / south it's worth considering living as close to Gaetz Avenue as possible. The reason I say this is because the #1 (Gaetz Avenue Rapid Bus) is scheduled to stop at many places from 19th street all the way up to 80th (where it turns into the #2 (Crosstown) and hits even more areas of the city. There are about 30 minutes between buses though but the city transit office is really good about helping people figure out which bus they need to get on and what times they leave each stop.
The Conquist area is undergoing massive improvement…currently , buildings are being built n appear to be businesses n housing..there is also a movie theatre in that neighbourhood..gets the new releases after they hit the Red Deer Cineplex…they charge $5 to see their movies….

Lacombe seems far but from a Calgarian point of view that is about the distance from Chinook in the South to The Calgary Airport with a lot less traffic so you are better off getting all the amenities of the nearby communities with less of the hassle of the big city commute. Would also mention GH Dawe on the Northside with its recent upgrade and gym its a really nice area in Highland Green and Fort Normandeau
Awesome video! I am soo glad I found it (or...it found me) I will be looking in those outer areas mid to late spring of 2024. I am way out of province so the video is very helpful.
Your videos are really nice and helpful to me as I am moving to Red deer in May and I am looking for a room to rent. Is there any way that you can help to find a private room for long term rental?
Hi Kyle, thanks for your video. I am planning to move to Red deer from Maritimes, but I am concerned about the high crime rate in Red deer coz I have 2 small kids :( is it really that bad? And which neighbourhood is safe to raise kids.thanks a lot
Thank you for making this video. I am a Nigerian, already applied to RDP, planning to move with my husband and daughter, will there be job opportunities for my husband?? He practice in my country as an Elect/Engineer, I am actually concern about him getting Jobs in Red deer. Thank you. Please can I send you email?

Haha we're stuck in same situation too. Am afraid if interest rates go down prices will go up in Alberta too
@@spawn11 even if they do, prices in the Lower Mainland will go up more so it will only help my situation.
