5 CURRENT Things to Know BEFORE Moving to Red Deer Alberta
stay where you are at. alberta is full. if you do not like it there start by voting out the people that made it what it is. albertas infrastructure is busting at the seams because of the mass exodus from other provinces that have no work. start leaning hard on your mp"s demanding change. be part of the change, get involved.
Buffalo lake is so polluted it gives you hives it’s definitely not that best place to
It sucks here we have a bad drug problem
One thing you should mention about Bower is the community park. It is probably the best in the city. They host events for seniors but also events for kids. They had bouncy castles, face painting, sports nights etc. In the winter there are two rinks with a heated skate shack with free hot chocolate, fire pits sometimes even marshmallows plus a small hill for sledding. All our friends from all over the city come to Bower because they have the best park.
Thanks for the info! I will remember that for next time
I’m 21 and been here since 5 yrs old. The problem is mostly the homeless people and yns thinking that they are hard. Talking about macing, jumping, and shit. We also have a bunch of passed around females who then lead to bs. Ik red deer pre good
I love the walking trails but are there any HILLS to climb... hike?
How big of a hill do you need . Heritage has some hills and canyon would have some major hills in the river valley ! Riiverbend recreation area might have some too but not 💯
If you really wanted some amazing hiking about 2 hours west of red deer is Nordegg which has some world class hiking ! Have a google !
I don't understand why people like to live in colder weather. I understand that the GST in Alberta is only 5%, but if individuals want a better income and more opportunities, they can go to a location near the United States border, where they may enjoy the weather throughout the year and many attractions.
Hey Kyle if you own a double wide manufactured home in one of the Red Deer parks that you mentioned, do you actually own the land or do you rent the lot space? 🤔
Can you do a video on Red Deer trailers and trailer parks?
Hey just watched your video, you called the Stettler Hotel/ The Beat the Royale, but the Royale is a separate bar about 2-3 businesses east of the Beat, just letting you know
Lived in Aspen Ridge, Anders for 20 years and love it here! We easily access the amazing mountain bike /park trails and love how the city keeps green space accessible.
Very cool! Anders is one of the best !
Very informative. It really showcased the city and how absolutely gorgeous it is with all the trees.
Thank you! Where do you currently live ?
Any questions comment below !
very nice video! so would you say the best place for investment properties for rentals would be by the hospital and the college?
The whole rental market is very good ! But those neighbourhoods would be great for investment .
Outstanding video... thank you for your comprehensive video info!
My pleasure!
Thank you for the informative information! 😊
You are welcome !
Btw.... I love Red Deer. And Danielle Smith is great.
I was caught in the Edmonton tornado. Don't forget about the tornado at Pine Lake. I lived in Red Deer Alberta for several years. I moved to an acreage about 8 miles west. It's OK
I live in camrose and I like it here. But there was some bad stuff in my area it was like there was like 2 theifs in my area and my house might not be ok buy my family thinks it's ok
You only did south

Moving to red deer in a week ♡
Welcome !
I grew up in Glendale 😂 my crescent was pretty safe at the time. Best childhood ever.
Awesome thanks for sharing
The landscape is beautiful in Red deer. Unfortunately, the problem is the racist retards that live there.
Iv never move out of Red deer
Its a great city. What area are you in?
I love Red deer born here
Awesome!
We bought an acreage near Rocky, (from bc) first day we realized we had no internet or cell service and I work from home. Tried Starlink and it did not work due to trees. Lived there for 5 months then had to sell. :( This is a great video, I wish we would have seen it earlier.
Ah thats too bad! Starlink wouldnt work? Was there no a clear view of the sky?
@@reddeeralbertaliving lots of tall evergreen trees

Thank you so much for your videos Kyle I am a French-speaking newcomer from Africa and I chose to settle in the city of Red Deer. Could I get some advice from you?
of course
What about inglewood?
Didnt make the list
Not sure but maybe your wife didn't appreciate you telling us she made you sign a prenup?! 😂
lol maybe !
You fucking shouldnt. That is the plain and simple version. Crime is insane in red deer right now, and you should stay away at all costs.
Red Deer seems to be the happening place! I'm looking to invest there! but then you had me at Edmonton is the best team in the NHL, lol! Go Jets go!
O come on !!!! 🤣
I want to live in Red Deer!!!!!!
Too many people....
Hell of a place for fent
Red Deer Rocks :)
Agreed!
There are several communities you only touched on, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom condos with pools, workshops and resort style appearance.
I don’t think you watched video . Davenport place is not any of those neither is oarkvale . And hence why I mentioned this list is not all inclusive But thanks for the comment anyway
@reddeeralbertaliving I most definitely did watch the full video, it is understandable if you only promote areas where you have listings.
@@mylesroettger5397 well I have no listings In Either of those areas so that point goes out the window
Thanks for the great video Kyle.
Any time!
My house was in this video! :)
Haha love it !
I love Red Deer but would have to move. Can't take a walk without ignorant folks laughing, honking and calling you names if you are "different". It's a damn shame. Good vid though!
That’s too bad. Don’t let the dick heads get to you! There is a lot of good people here to!
@@reddeeralbertaliving Yes. I should've prefaced that. I've met some really really awesome folks here as well :)

I think so too!
Beautiful place Thanks for the info, very informative.

@@reddeeralbertaliving I did
We visited Blackfalds after seeing your video on it and you are correct, hardly any businesses. The Abby center is in the part of town that I don't think is the safest. I will not le my kid, if I had any, walk to the center by themselves. Well that is how it looked like when we drove around. Also if you live west of the railway tracks, you're cut off when a train goes by. Not fun when one needs to get to work and you're stuck behind a train. We were there around noon and we were in a line up because of the train. I love Lacombe. It has my favorite restaurant: Leto's. We drive from Devon once a year to go have a steak.
I did see why you love English Estate in Lacombe. Beautiful but definitely above my pay grade. One of the comments I read on you Lacombe video said Woodlands. So we drove through that area too. Love it. Definitely more in the price range of the middle class folks like us. I didn't drive through any neighborhood in Lacombe where I felt that it wouldn't be so safe
We drove through Innisfail as well. Last year I think. It has a big solar farm just north west of it. Wonder if it powers the town or part of it at least. I must say if I have to choose between Blackfalds and Inisfail, I would choose the latter. Maybe because it's older, it has more a live in feeling. Both times we visited these 2 towns we were there during the summer holidays. I usually judge a place, and it might be skew, by how many kids I see walk around without an adult present. I saw kids in Innisfail walking. Now I did read a comment once on one of your videos where the person said the characters comes out at night in Innisfail, that it's not such safe place. The only problem for me in Innisfail is that most of the houses are old and overpriced. I love older homes because I think they have more character, but most of the ones in Innisfail are not worth the asking price.
Innisfail is absolutely safe
Blackfalds is safe too. Near the abbey centre is a good area
The closeness to the airport might not be a good selling point for Penhold. The busier the airport will be, the more polluted the air will be due to the planes exhaust fumes. And it might be noisy with the planes being low. It is neat to see them come in when we visit Leduc but I don't want to live close to an airport
Yuck yuck yuck.. red deer will no longer be a nice place to live. How sad….
It will be better
The traffic is not bad, but the hospitals are slowly closing down. It seems like from when I watch this video.
Huh?
Hi i am lookkng at moving from windsor ontario to alberta. I am a electrician and have a few tools. The easiest rout will be through the US and out of north portal. Any advice on brining tools in and out of the us will i need special permiets ?
I’m not sure but I can’t see why you would need a permit for tools
