  • How to build a pondless waterfall and save money on components such as the pump vault. This project really is for the birds. See how it attracts them in this video and associated blog post:

    Hats off to you 👍
    You beat all other videos of waterfall hollow.
    You showed how Simply one can do a waterfall, cascading thru rocks, yet a beautiful piece of work with water
    Always wondered why so many workers & technicians & machinery to create a natural looking waterfall or pond.
    Keep it up

    One of the better pondless waterfalls I have ever seen and towards the end it was better than watching a nature programme

    That is fabulous,even without a pond.
    I think this is a work of art!! The sound is like being in a forest near a flowing creek,with wild life included.
    Awesome creation.

    I was to be honest expecting a DIY disaster, but I was surprised that you indeed have the spirit of vision and artistry in your creation.
    What a wonderful and beautiful end result to hard thought out water feature. I can see from your work you had know how, but so very pleased that you also had the touch of an artist in your work too.
    It is true, water brings life, as soon as you have running water in your yard you will find God's little creatures come to your beautiful garden to drink, bath or use your water feature as it's habitat.
    My hat is off to you friend, well done.

    • @TheVeloWeb
      @TheVeloWeb  7 лет назад

      Thanks John. I hope it helped with your research. Next time, I'd spring for a commercial pump vault or use a wider container. This would allow more room for plumbing design. And, I may just do that, as we moved in June. The new yard is a blank canvas, and swarming with birds, as the new place borders an oak forest.

    Very nice work. Thanks for sharing. I am going to model my system after yours. However, I will be building more of a waterfall wall, not as much of a stream. Wish me luck. What GPH pump did you use?

  • @AdrienBCaldwell
    @AdrienBCaldwell 6 лет назад

    This is GORGEOUS! Thanks for such a great video. I am thinking of doing something along the lines of this but maybe at a third of the size. Just curious, can you tell us about the pump and how many gallons of water per hour it pumps? Also, has your electric bill gone up a lot? This will determine whether or not I will want to do this for my home.

    • @TheVeloWeb
      @TheVeloWeb  5 лет назад

      Thanks. Sorry I'm late to this. Since this, I've moved and built another, I think better, waterfall. That pump was 1200 GPH. My new one pumps 2000. According to calculations, that's equivalent to running a 100W incandescent bulb 24/7. For us here, at our rates, it will average $80 per year. Well worth the enjoyment. Make sure you check stats on the pump you buy. I recommend an asynchronous unit.
