I started researching / working on this program today for professional reasons. When I try to drag an element from the tool palet, the message appears: this tool is not compatible with a non-PNID drawing file?!
All drawings MUST be part of a Plant Project. The tools will not work with a drawing created using AutoCAD commands or created outside the project. I would suggest taking our P&ID Quick Start training class.

If you have a subscription for AutoCAD, you should be able to log into your Autodesk account either through their website or the app on your computer. Under either "downloads" or "products and tools", you should be able to download the software you're looking for. It may or may not ask you what OS/platform you're working with.

What are your thoughts on CADISON-3D Plant Design & Equipment Engineering Software? Which software is better for process plant design?
Since we are an Autodesk reseller, we believe that AutoCAD Plant 3D would be better for process plant design

Hey mate, I just installed Plant 3D. Never used it before. I like the look of your layout, care to share your settings?
I’m just using the out of the box workspaces and docking the palettes.
Anyone knows about demolition items? can demolition items be assigned? and can it make a demolition drawing?
You can assign the Status of an object to New, Existing or Demolition either in the Properties Palette or in the Data Manager.
