Very nice video! I habe a Eureka Mignon Grinder and the Delonghi Dedica and very likely I will soon upgrade to the Ascaso. The new Profitec Go is very nice ss well tho, its just a bummer that it doesn't have flow control.

I recommend you bump your steam temperature on the Ascaso to 325-329ºF. It'll bump up the power. Since the thermoblocks work differently from traditional boilers, the steam temp doesn't translate to bars of pressure the same way (I think...)
But I had similar steam times when my steam temp was at 265ºF. And then I bumped it up and my steam time is now 25-30 seconds.

Thanks for the tip! Adjusting the steam temperature sounds like a game-changer. It's fascinating how small tweaks can make such a big difference in espresso machines. I'll definitely give it a try and see how it affects the steam time. Appreciate you sharing your experience!

Cool vid. Do you reach over with your left arm to turn on the steam to avoid burning yourself? If not, why don’t you use your right hand to turn on the steam?

Nice review. When my nespresso dies this is the winner. Maybe Black Friday sales next year??
Have to look at the electrical plug issue here in Canada. Thanks.

It's a great choice for considering the Ascaso Steel Duo PID as your next espresso machine. Black Friday might indeed bring some good deals. And yes, checking the electrical plug compatibility in Canada is a smart move.

@@alldayieatlikeashark do you also noticed that there are some quality issues with your machine? I have received mine last week but there are some quality issues like loose led lights under the switches, watertank has bad finish on the outside plastic, small hole in one of the portafilter spout and the cable had a lot of scratches. Did you noticed some of these? Maybe its only mine..
