Breath taking isn’t it Labour rammed 5 waters bill through last night … Last night in Parliament as Labour rammed 5 Waters bill through...Act and National opposed to no avail...this comment ;last night from Maureen Pugh highlights it...to quote... National’s Maureen Pugh rounded out the criticism of some of the most egregious provisions in the Bill: "But I want to turn the rest of my contribution to why I think this is dishonest, because this legislation contains two things that I want to raise tonight. One is about the exclusive ability for the iwi representatives to propose statements. Now, these statements are binding on those entities and we've heard about some of the caution that we have around that, because it is extending out into fresh water, it's extending out into the ocean. I just want to read a part out of the Cabinet paper that Nanaia Mahuta had in June 2021. This wasn't made available to the public, by the way. ‘I see the [Te Mana o te Wai] statements as being holistic, enabling Māori to express a broad wellbeing approach consistent with a Te Ao Māori approach to such measures, including economic, cultural, social, and environmental expectations.’ She goes on to say, ‘Such statements could contain economic aspirations with respect to Māori enterprise and job creation, particularly-but not exclusively-in areas related to mātauranga Māori expertise.’ So, basically, what they are saying is that whatever the 1,200 iwi and hapū consider in their best interests and are deemed to be consistent with the view of mātauranga Māori, they will be locked into those entities and those statements are binding, and those for water services entities have to obey them. But there's another little hidden part of this piece of legislation that needs a bit of airtime, and that is that not only are they going to seize the councils' bought and paid for infrastructure-three-waters infrastructure-but they're now also going after parks and reserves.… So New Zealand has been duped into thinking that this has been all about clean water, when, in fact, we were between second and ninth in the world for top-quality water in this country, and, again, this is this typical Labour Government saying they've got a solution and they're now looking for a problem. But this is dishonest, and they have not had the gumption to be open with the people of New Zealand....." breathtaking isn't it !!
I knew that there was going to be something big rammed through when the preestitutes started talking about ...the wedding... a tactic to deflect attention from some serious abuse about to be enacted in the Beehive
Stop the child support payment if these kids aren’t going to school , parents to be held accountable for their kids crimes and have to pay reparation for stolen property and undergo parental guidance counselling in serious crimes unless it can be proven that they had done everything in their power to stop their child from committing crimes then a prison term is can be imposed by the courts
Duke of Edinburgh type programs would be much more effective with kids. Diving, sailing, tramping; and yes - gardening. Nature harmonizes and heals all emotional and mental disorders; so why not utilize this.
Thats the one. They need mentors, they need to be around good diverse people from all different backgrounds with all different attitudes so their eyes can be opened to what life can really be like . They need to challenged.
Good to see Winston. You could give these kids who commit ram raids a warm loving home money to spent and they would still do it. Once they have learned how to get notoriety for a deed thats bad...that becomes the new drug. Isolating, taking away privileges and earning them back will help some, boot camp removes them from their current environment group of friends and the inability to organize those crimes. The recipients of goods stolen during those raids should also be prosecuted. Q: how are you going to get kids to stay in school if everything they need isn't in that school...... Boot camp is a way of making them listen instead of being in a classroom. teacher's are not jailors or correction officers, they are there to teach kids, you know the forgotten ones who actually give a damn about their education Why should teachers waste time dealing with those disruptive people who will be gathering more recruits from that school. If boot camp is organised better than they used to be the success rate will be better. YES their Parents need to be involved in the boot camp process as well.
@@Eohippus100 exactly, thats why I supported charter schools, some kids will want to learn specific things in life , subjects that engage them will keep them at school...I was so sad when charter schools were scrapped by Labour, there are a lot of older people who have a wealth of knowledge on specific subjects to pass on to students they shouldn't need a teaching degree to pass on things, like budgeting, home maintenance, gardening, mathematics, nutrition, health and relationship skills. Arts, etc....life skills that may have not been included in state schools. We could do better by bringing charter schools back.
Sometimes parents don't like their kids going to these divisive and useless schools because we went to them. The zoning makes schools to complacent as well just assuming kids in the area have no choice but to go there. Schools are the problem, not the kids, they are such low quality compared to the education of our pasts. A lot of people were in trades and encouraged into apprenticeships and now it's encouraged for immigrants and not training our own people. Back in the day nzers were supported when they left school at 15 not that long ago and then low and behold the generations after have to stay at school to get into an institutions that puts kids into debt for thousands for a job they may not get while being treated like they aren't paying money and not being treated as adults and with respect and are indebting their children and people for their whole life. The options in schools and provided by govt are not respectful, not inclusive and not empowering to all NZers. Our education has fallen massively since our british ancestors, because the learning institutions are not being respected and run by those who are running them. These people care more about culture than learning and do not command respect because a lot of them are dumber than the students.

Boot Camp - maybe a good idea if fully implemented, because these 'ram raid kids' have clearly already been failed by their parents, so what make you think these parents can solve it - they are part of the problem - so Boot Camp for the kids + Tough Love Parenting training for the Parents + stop handing out Support $ to any mother who has children to more than 1 father outside of a committed relationship (fathers are too often missing from kids lives), and Tough Love is also about not encouraging irresponsible parenting by supporting it with yours and mine tax $
3 waters staff imply to the position in the council and what the job entails and not staff to hire to handle the newly amalgamed water entities. The Water Entities Services Bill is basically an amalgamation of the water services into four core entities and is separate to the local authorities.
Boot camp no, but secure boarding schools fuk yes.. traditional schooling can't help these kids when there perents fail them every day. As soon as any sort of Treaty or Referendum is complete it starts to age and become unfit for purpose due to changes in culture, technology and circumstances (e.g., demographics) whereas Common Law evolves with time and circumstances and as such is far more fit for purpose. No Referendum, rather we can adapt and adopt as we go along.
This is ideologically driven - no one is so driven as those that believe THEY are doing the "right thing"... or, as Obama would say it "be on the Right side of History"...
School up Sean, National policy is NOT boot camp, it's a system where a number of organisations are involved including Iwi where these young offenders get a system of regulation, education and ethics.....if you want to talk 5 waters also school up do your homework and you'll find in early land sales that Maori sold the water, rivers, streams, rocks, minerals and all that below and above to Queen victoria for ever and ever ......in clear black and white ....
Having hardly played attention to nz politics, I've thought privately that boot camp military training is a great idea. Because once those boys have reached mid teens they are too far gone for the parents. We as a society are far too soft. Put them in the military for 10 to 20yrs. Put them under their jurisdiction. Or else just keep sending them back to jail. At least in the military they have less access to other criminals. Make them serve, which can build self esteem

But there's another little hidden part of this piece of legislation that needs a bit of airtime, and that is that not only are they going to seize the councils' bought and paid for infrastructure-three-waters infrastructure-but they're now also going after parks and reserves.…
So New Zealand has been duped into thinking that this has been all about clean water, when, in fact, we were between second and ninth in the world for top-quality water in this country, and, again, this is this typical Labour Government saying they've got a solution and they're now looking for a problem. But this is dishonest, and they have not had the gumption to be open with the people of New Zealand....."
breathtaking isn't it !!
I knew that there was going to be something big rammed through when the preestitutes started talking about ...the wedding... a tactic to deflect attention from some serious abuse about to be enacted in the Beehive
it can all be scraped this is all null and void
Labour also said they wouldn't run with the TPPA, but when they got in....they ran with it, and passed it. So words are empty.
Bring back the stockades, line them up in the street and let everyone see them.
UN Geneva is writing all nz’s poliicy

Somebody buy Winston a microphone or provide him info where he can get one
Stop the child support payment if these kids aren’t going to school , parents to be held accountable for their kids crimes and have to pay reparation for stolen property and undergo parental guidance counselling in serious crimes unless it can be proven that they had done everything in their power to stop their child from committing crimes then a prison term is can be imposed by the courts
Child support has nothing to do with crime, there are a lot of children who aren't criminals and shouldn't be punished because of a few Lil pricks
They have the concrete jungle mentality
These children are too far gone . Their upbringing has destroyed them .
Tobacco in NZ is now twice the price of Silver bullion. Wake up!!
That is right, say it is legal (not just tobacco) get everyone addicted, then ban it!
If kids say that their schooling is junk, and it actually is, then kids will wag school
@@andreatodd3095 That doesn't change the fact that mainstream schools are junk
Absolutely
Hard to vote against!
great stuff
Well said, spot on
Indeed sad but true thanks for caring ❤

If man makes laws, why can’t man undo it,if the people want to change laws they put in people who will do their bidding,or are being told this government is going to remain in power for ever and a day?WEF here we come.
What if sufficient numbers of voters are spooked by the dire greenie predictions and vote Green We will get another fatal dose of Ardern. Remember the most damaging lies are told by someone who believes they are true

He's not wrong, it was the Nats who sold soul to conglomerates for power and please don't put them up as the paradigms of virtue.
Seems to me the tail is wagging the dog . Time for a revolution ...
true, no revolution was ever resolved by peace and love
When hasn't Government done what it wants...?
Why are local councils throughout NZ advertising for " 3 Waters" staff?
3 waters staff imply to the position in the council and what the job entails and not staff to hire to handle the newly amalgamed water entities. The Water Entities Services Bill is basically an amalgamation of the water services into four core entities and is separate to the local authorities.
Goodluck Winston. To many families are not being held accountable.
Boot camp no, but secure boarding schools fuk yes.. traditional schooling can't help these kids when there perents fail them every day. Rather pay for them too be in care than try and repare a trainwreak down the road with contributing society paying the price regardless, with the current softcock aproach of the last 10years.
This is terrible; I have had a guts full of this weakness;- 65% Māori Truancy rates; no wonder Māori make up 65% of our Prison population.
Control of coastal waters' what would that entail?
Blockades at boat ramps , no fishing or seafood gathering for non Maori , charging for ships to cross coastal water and much much more .

ha ha more fool you voting for turncoat, Winnie has dropped the ball so many times in the past I've lost count, and Luxon is just gonna run with the WEF agenda so he's no different than Mrs Ed. Seymour might appear like the only sane option, but appearances can be deceiving! I have no confidence in any of them.
Me too. NEW ZEALAND FIRST. Not some mythical non - existent land called - what is it - Aotearoa? And handing 16% of NZ population to 50% control? What about the other 84% of NON MAORI???? In addition what percentage of that 16% are full blooded Maori? 3/5ths of 5/8ths of bugger all!!!
Does anyone remember Nelson Mandela's shock as guest speaker at Rotorua Marae in 1996 - 97 when Maori speakers spoke of "separate development" plans? He was horrified and rightly named it apartheid - a brutal system he had just suffered under for 45 years - 40 of those in prison?
Peters is NZ's most expensive beneficiary and longest running joke. Every election he gets low-info voters riled up enough to vote for him, then does SFA except squander our hard-earned money. Been doing this since the late EIGHTIES. When will Winston First supporters finally wake the fark up?
Go Winnie ❣
Anti smacking and allowing women to vote....big mistakes for NZ.
If funding was really the issue the government would just do the same thing they do with local roading projects and just make the money available
When considering what WP can bring to the table BEFORE the election , be sure to remember the old adage "The Enemy of my Enemy is my Friend " to which I would add "Until they are no longer useful..."
Good ol Winston says the tight things for the pols
Winston knows the ingredients for a great meal but don’t ask him to cook it.
🤣
Very good summation
As soon as any sort of Treaty or Referendum is complete it starts to age and become unfit for purpose due to changes in culture, technology and circumstances (e.g., demographics) whereas Common Law evolves with time and circumstances and as such is far more fit for purpose. No Referendum, rather we can adapt and adopt as we go along.
We need a Constitution where everyone has equal rights
Crims will go AWOL, they wont last a week
This is ideologically driven - no one is so driven as those that believe THEY are doing the "right thing"... or, as Obama would say it "be on the Right side of History"...
School up Sean, National policy is NOT boot camp, it's a system where a number of organisations are involved including Iwi where these young offenders get a system of regulation, education and ethics.....if you want to talk 5 waters also school up do your homework and you'll find in early land sales that Maori sold the water, rivers, streams, rocks, minerals and all that below and above to Queen victoria for ever and ever ......in clear black and white ....
u no the dhb is still mandating gov crims!!!

Love him or hate him, Winston Peters is a true Statesman. He stands for no nonsense and always says exactly what he means to say. Thanks Winston, NZ needs you!!
With the anti smacking bs the parents can't even give their delinquent kids a hiding to keep them in line. Bring back corporal punishment.
By going with Ardern in 2017 he thought he had a young inexperienced person he could manipulate Too late he found an obsessed dictator with no ethics
The trouble is the government is falling over seudo scientific psychologists. Discipline has largely been taken away from the parents. With all these psychologists which are growing expedentially. There shouldn't be much crime, very few suicides, no poverty. We should be living in a wonderful utopia. But NAH. Problems are growing with the level of psycho bable. Unless you are a clinical psychologist go get a real job.
This is why Winston Peters is our best politician
Arm shop keepers, allow them to defend themselves with force and crime will drop very quickly.

winston consistenly misses the point. ram raiding isnt a youth thing, its a gang thing. cut the heads of the snakes and the youth will be safe.
Yeah , what other country accepts these publicly displayed gangs ?
Had Winston not gone with labour all of what has happened and happening may have been reduced and some wouldn’t have happened. Unfortunately Winston has had more starts and stops than Phar lap . He was instrumental in NZ being derailed . Having said that it was good to see him engaged with the Wellington protest . He got hoodwinked. Time for him to paddle his own waka

Aotearoa should be ceded back to Māori without so much as pakeha saying one word … after all pakeha removed sovereignty from Māori when it was not their right to do so … it was theft under the guise of a Treaty … how would the British people feel if Māori marched into Great Britain and foisted a treaty of their sovereignty over British territories on the British people ?
