WAIT is that the joke!? Is it making fun of smokers? Holy shit! I just thought it was funny because this grown ass man was single-handedly keeping Oscar Mayer in business.
I've seen this sketch multiple times over the years and it just dawned on me that "I'm just Ball Parking here." is a pun. Well played WKUK. Well played.
I heard somewhere in this comment section that it's all a big analogy for smokers and the lies and excuses they come up with. But I honestly love to just imagine it's literally about hot dogs lol. For some weird medical reason.
I think one of the most unrecognized parts of this sketch is the fact that the doctor looked at Timmy's bloodwork and thought, "This guy is eating too much hotdogs." with pinpoint perfection. The question isn't sodium intake, too high blood cholesterol, or anything. It's hotdogs.
@@whatdothlife4660 It's a way of endorsing a specific moment as great. It gets up-voted in agreement. It's the exact same thing as quoting scenes after watching a movie.
“Timmy, did you really gain all that body fat for the sketch..” “Well it worked didn't it?” “Yeaahhh, but it’s usually...” “It’s usually hot dogs.” “Yeah, it’s usually hot dogs.”

Always interpreted it as replacing cigarettes. People smoke when they wake up, on their way to work, during their lunch break, when they get home, before they go to bed. No one really drinks that often unless they’re a raging alcoholic.
Theres a sketch on the show Detroiters and they basically did the same sketch, but with drinks. You can definitely see they got inspiration from the WKUK
I remember getting a answer on test about Lincoln wrong. The question was what play was Lincoln watching when he was shot. I put Hamlet and my teacher was grading pulled me aside to ask "where did you come up with Hamlet"
I bought a package of Chips Ahoy this afternoon. Just opened it after dinner and 8 cookies are left. It comes with 33 cookies. I asked the wife and kids where they went. They all said they had a few. When I pressed, kid 1 said 7, kid 2 said 3, and wife said 3 or 4. That’s 14...leaving 11 unaccounted for. I just showed them this educational video.
The nervous sticking together of Timmy's voice, Trevor's doctor voice and pandering cadence and word choice-- they aren't always the best actors, but their performances here are phenomenal
You dont see that they have range and when they are being bad actors its purposeful? Did you see the cowboy sketch when they are doing plays one by one for eachother? Everyone except timmy was straight up in the moment. In the roll and killed it. Timmy is sitting there in a fucking child's "cowboys and indians" cowboy garb and just saying the dumbest shit like a child. Then the whole thing falls apart but timmy is the only one that knows its all a skit. These guys "with the exception of sam" are fantastic actors. They just never got their shot at the big league.
@FreshNostalgia This is poking fun at the fact that chronic smokers don't realize how bad their addiction has gotten until they really go in depth with analyzing their habit. They initially think, "Oh yeah, I have a smoke or two a day..." but usually its more severe than that. Trevor here is making Timmy feel guilty about his hotdog habit, as do doctors to smokers so they'll get help.
I feel like the hot dogs are a replacement for any harmful addiction. Timmy displays cognitive dissonance to his addiction, by seemingly honestly, not recalling how bad the problem is. He tries to strategically avoid his pediatritions questions, and when forced to answer, tries to minimize his problems. It's hilarious, but definitely hits home
Not just any harmful addiction, but specifically alcohol. There's lots of tells throughout the video that it's specifically about alcohol, like the "two before work". There's nothing else it's meant to be.
I feel like it's a funny sketch about hotdogs that's not trying to say anything else. Am I the only one bored by the weird trend of summing up a RUclips video with forced revelations that don't exist? There's one of these comments under every video now.
I get the feeling Timmy actually was eating a lot of hot dogs at the time so they wrote this sketch to fuck with him and, as an added bonus, wrote in the script that Timmy would be shirtless for the duration of the sketch.
Honestly, I'm just impressed because I've never had a doctor spend that much time with me. It's always like poking their head in "Where does it hurt? Okay we'll run some tests. Tests came back, you're not dying. Make of that what you will. NEXT."
For physical comedy. We can clearly see he eats too much. I applaud actors who are willing to poke fun at their body for the sake of a good laugh. Chris Farley was a master at that.
I'd let Trevor give ME a physical if you know what I mean.... 'Cause I've been feeling these sharp pains in my chest and I've been having trouble breathing.
This is how doctors feel when patients say they rarely smoke when they really smoke a pack a day
A pack a day? Ha... They usually start at 2 packs a day.
You can always take what a patient tells you and double to quadruple it... lol
WAIT is that the joke!? Is it making fun of smokers? Holy shit! I just thought it was funny because this grown ass man was single-handedly keeping Oscar Mayer in business.
