This has actually happened to some people. You know, the whole "wait, the world isn't supposed to be blurry and fuzzy?" I remember one story about a guy who was almost blind in one eye and thought that was normal because everyone had a dominant eye, just like a dominant hand. It somehow makes all this even funnier.
There's a written record of the first successful cataract surgery (centuries ago) and the guy had been completely blind and now was blown away by a totally new, overwhelming sense he couldn't figure out very well at first. Being able to read close up is easy and what most people assume is fine eye sight. When the far stuff is blurry is harder to figure out until you get glasses and realize "holy hell trees aren't just green blobs, you can actually see the individual leaves"

the popcorn ceiling in my house was the moment that i really felt like i gained new sight, god was it amazing
well played
Yup, i had something similer, before i got my eyes laser- operated, i hated wearing my glasses, a lot of times i could walk on the streets, and then i would go past my best friends, and they would stop and says; yo, everything ok? are you ignoring me etc.? I would give lame excuses like i was in my own world, or i didn't see them (even tho they would walk straight towards me, and i would look at them, but because everything was so blurry i could not see who it was)
