    I want to stamp hard soap (if too soft, the bottom squishes out from under the pressure)--possibly with a sprig as well but haven't yet tried it. I also need something very hard that is not fired clay since I don't have a kiln. Been looking at plaster type products. Have you tried any in a similar fashion?

      hmm, I've used sculpey (oven bake clay) and silicone mold and I've used plaster for larger casting. For clay plaster can be problematic because little bits of plaster in the clay don't fire well, but plaster is easy to carve, so it might work for your applications.
