I mean it is possible to run higher wattage bulbs off of a cfl ballast, However it certainly isn't advised. I have done so myself, with a 13 watt cfl ballast and a 30 watt fluorescent tube. Works perfectly fine if you use the right wire, however i have not tested the long term of it
There are (still) several problems with this design. First of all the glue gun glue will melt pretty fast (yes, even the fluorescent lamps get hot enough during normal operation to melt the glue) and thus the whole construction will fall apart during "normal" use (silicon adhesive would've been a MUCH better idea, although running the wires close to a heat source is still a big no-no). Second: the mod is REALLY dangerous, because all 120/220 volts of the mains are right on the terminals of that lamp. I won't recommend building this to anyone (electrocution is really not to be trifled with).
CoolKoon And no one said it wasn't. BUT, to play ping pong correctly, first one must use the right ball....and toss the boiled egg back in the lunch box where it should stay to be eaten and not paddled. Right? That's my point, FIRST and FOREMOST. The rest, such as rules and techniques, your dept. professor.
SwarthySkinnedOne "to play ping pong correctly, first one must use the right ball" - Ehm, I'm not sure if I get your analogy. How does ping pong relate to making mods that leave lethal voltage contacts exposed?
OM G "I had a really cheap IKEA lamp, and even a CFL bulb literally melted the plastic shade." - I only noticed this sentence now. I've modded one of my IKEA lamps to run on LED, but never seen one being melted by the heat of a CFL light. I did know that they suck, but never would've imagined they do this much....

Sir how much cost you get pf this fluorescent tube light and please can you make a video using fluorescent tube light an emergency light ok thank you bye
Ha, that's pretty clever. But it's not an LED. And it won't fit in any fixture, the electrodes are exposed and that could be dangerous, and you can buy an LED lamp that's higher efficiency for about $1.50. But, that's pretty clever. ....
' i did that fix old CFL twister bulb change to color change LED lights with 6 volts battery... used white caulk and very good... not like hot gun stick glue
You have done a great job...Super... Congratulations...
if i have a 20W cfl should i use a 20w fluresent lamp

go on and retract your comment man, as I have with mine. They amended the title and description to a more appropriate one. retracted mine
SwarthySkinnedOne All right, I changed my comment. Unfortunately my main point (i.e. that this mod is dangerous) is still valid.

Perfect idea, this project makes people think.
Wow! It works. Use 1/2 PVC pipe clamps instead of hot glue and a terminal block connector in the tube light terminals
yes, nice suggestion, i will definitely make one improved version for this.
💡💡💡😃😃😊
Is ki heat se glue nhi melt ho gi kay.
We cant use glue stick because the tube light is going to be hot... right or wrong?
Did u use good condition tubelight or what?
Kitne -2 watt ki cfl se kitne-2 watt/volt tak ki tube jala sakte hai?
பாராட்டுக்கள்! ( U R Great.)
Agr wire ko tublight ka upor paste kr ga koi problm hoga tuh nhii???????????
Awesome idea. best way to recycle
Thnx for appreciate :)
will it work on flourescent tube from lcd tv?
Very Nice Video. Greetings from Germany
nice work. i mean cool idea n you got a new subscriber
Wow Very Nice Sir....👍
Cfl blup aani tub che waat.same asala heva ka?
do you know that glue will melt because that bulb is heating
I have done this in 2012 still working.... make sure the tube light is of less watt as that of CFL to keep going and better light
Thanks for sharing your experience :)
Really creative
Kya hum fuse black tube ko bho use Kar sakte h
Is there no matter of positive/negative points in the whole circuit? If yes than how can we recognize which is positive or negative?
Bro used some protective seal at the soldering ends, otherwise it may be dangerous for the users :)
Anyways great job 🙂👍🏻
Ya tube kitna volt par chalti ha Jo ap na lagai ha
from sri lanka 👍👍👍👍
Really excellent....keep it up.......!!!!!!!
Very very good sir ,
Very nice video thanks
Nice bro Good Job its very easy to convert CFL to Tube light..
Is this work coz i have 2 light as same as this cfl bulb
great you made better then CFL nice buid qulty.
Do I have to shave my hands and knuckles like this guy before doing this?
Great. But I want to know which is positive and negative in each case please. Thanks
If i add a 6w tube in 15w circuit of cfl.den it works properly or not ????
Darun
Can i use bigger flouresence bulb than that you showed us?
Another useful idea for me thanks! 😎
Use 6w tube?
cool project
Kya hum isse badi 20w tube glow Kar sakte
bhai ye tube light kitne watt ki hai..?
awesome idea.. gotta make it better from this project..
Fantastic work, bro! Really well though! :D
Thanks my dear friend :))
super video bro it is very useful to society
What an idea sir ji
Long tfl का लाइट अच्छा रहता है! इस लिए good है मुझे अच्छा लगा लकिन ग्लू के जगह प्लास्टिक बेल्ट भी use कर सकते है
Bahut achha kya baat hai bhai
Awsm
But how much volt is that tube light
Not so good. What about that glue? Will it not soften too prolong used when the florescent heats up? Will it not fell!
will it work with T5 lamp
Very nice good job
Can you add lamp holders so it can be replaced?
#bhai jaan tumne yeh background white kaise bnaye hein video ke liye hamme bhi bnnana hein aisa
agar ap bta dege thk bahut kirpa ho jyange #inshaalla bahut achha lag rha hein
aur video kaise edit karte ho bta doge tho bde kirpa hoge
#dhanyavadd #swaallha
*appke jawab ka intezzar rhenga
aur bhai jaan tum rhete kha kbhi apne barre mein bhj video
*inshaallha*
Nice bro good idea
How much power are you?
Nice DYIn (y) ♡♡♡
Super v nice
Wow so nice
simplest idea good
Nice
nic video i like it
I tried with old 20W CCFL circuit driver and 18W Florescent lamp didn't work. Can you explain pls?
Thanks bro. I have done though your video
No you didn't ☹
nice video bro
Bro when tube light open it becom hot. It can melt the Silicon which is used to fix the light
fantastic really awsome..
It's been a long time to see you.
Which app do u use for editing videos plzzz tell me
Good job !
good work Brother
super idea sir

Bro Kitne watt ka hai Ye tube
O
Wonderful job and I welcome
which type of wire is used
u can use any type of wire
Super it's ameging
so beautiful
If light is heated then it's risky for cable
One 1 रिमोट कंट्रोल कार बनाकर दिखाओ भाई
super bro.nice
Thanks for appreciate :)
Very interested
where i can by that fluorescent tube please give me amazon or ebay link.
any T4 or T5 fluorescent tube will work fine. the other tubes like T8 are bigger.
CFL & tubelite ka watt kitna hain
ahoj, kolik trubic můžu zapojit...
Where u get this type of ideal.......
brain
Wow amazing what an idea bro
great work :)
Thnx for appreciate :))
Tooop...bravos
Nice vedio
thanks bro........
Tube lite what volt?
mast idea
nice video
高溫,熱熔膠會不會壞掉
What Is the output volt of cfl?
Outstanding
