This album reminds me of that time I went into the mountains to look for food. I was never the most succesful forager, but I had a family, and mouths to feed. The mountains around here are cold, unforgiving, haunted bastards. If you stay in one place for too long the trees start to whisper. If you listen closely you can hear them when the wind blows through the leaves. The forest floor is like a living thing, it shifts and moves, one step lands on moss, the next on undisturbed dirt. Paths, made by the creatures that wander there, make a pattern like the veins on the top of your hand, and if you follow one for long enough it's said you reach the Heart. I had been out there for too long; the woods make it easy to forget everything outside. Attuned to the breeze, I heard them. The whisper of the trees, contorted by ancient, withered branches, came to me like a somber song. "His hat is on backwards." And then... snickering. Motherfucker.
What an interesting comment. I was even more surprised to see a fellow Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou fan. But in all seriousness those trees sure do whisper the strangest things...
What a gem. An instant classic. Woke up to this on autoplay, into the second track, thought I was still dreaming lol. Is it sampled somewhere or why does it sound so familiar?! Rest of the album fire aswell & hypnotic af! 🔥 Listened to it for a few times on repeat today, beautiful stuff, really. It reminds me of so much other legendary music, its incredible. I'm curious to know what your inspirations might have been :) Thank you for making music, please keep going! 🖤🏆💯
Thank you for your support ! My main inspirations for this record were the ambient tapes of black metal artists i grew up with, such as Paysage d'Hiver. It is also inspired by Japanese new age ambient artists such as Hiroshi Yoshimura and Takashi Kokubo. I think the use of field recording always gives a familiar feeling to ambient music. Cheers !
@@gaan-art Dude no fkin way lol. Then you will be delighted to hear that my autoplay sent me here after falling asleep to the newest Paysage d'Hiver release!!! :D (I always use some form of atmo bm to fall asleep, the new PdH is perfect for that lol) Gonna listen to the 2 japanese guys now, thanks for the detailed answer! 😁👍 PS: My fav artist in this music spectrum is Severoth and I think you would like his music aswell, also his album covers are just like yours right here man lol.
