Mike Oldfield was a real Master! He could compose the music of his songs and wrote the lyrics ttoo. And the ressult of all that is just incredibly beautiful 💖 This song in particular, brings sweet memories to my mind. When I close my eyes and listen to this, the sensation is almost impossible to be explained in words. And that incredible, beautiful and toaching long guitar solo after she says, See you in heaven one day... Oh... I could listen to it for days wothout getting bored! Moonlight Shadows... I think it's more of the times we where living in --- to be perfeclty honest I did not know that she was from Norway..... in the original video she looks more to be from Ireland, or any of the "outside" English states/islands. The 1980's was beautiful! We where so pure, so not afflicted bu media - so overcome by the US vs Russia propaganda.... I dunno... the world has changed - this song, however, will always be the same

I love finding new videos of Mike I have not watched before. I know he did lots of TV promotion during the 80's in Europe. Although now one beats Maggie Reilly singing this, Anita does a good job, she is a great singer and worked well for lots of Mike's songs.
Whilst this is a neat version and Maggie Reilly also does a good job of the ditty, I think that by far the finest version I've seen and heard is the one featuring Pepsi DeMacque; the singer absolutely nails it and Mike's accompanying solo is superb. Worth checking Mike and DeMacque's version on RUclips, you won't be disappointed..

I think Oldfield was VERY OVERATED! A person of his Post-Times. Had a few good numbers, but largely forgotten, unlike others.

@@rbee3936 It's Anita Hegerland sining, her voice is very different from Maggie Reilly's so there's no way mistaking the two for each other. But yes, it's obviously playback. It's very obvious since there's no bass player on the stage but you can clearly hear the bass.

Lovely rendition of a beautiful song. I can see the cottage on the hill from my house here in Herefordshire, where Mike lived in solitude for a year while recording “Hergest Ridge” (which is the name of a beautiful atmospheric hillside overlooking our town.)

Der Franzose Michel Jarre ist für, sozusagen Technomusik (nur Instrumental), sehr bekannt. Da gibt es das z.B. das "Lied" Oxigene.
Ebenso muss ich dann auch an "Crockets Theme", komponiert von Jan Hammer denken für die Titelmelodie von "Miami Vice" mit ... Crocket und ... Tubs als Ermittler/Polizisten/...
