The fact that people will harass a content creator soley for the reason that he is trying to get a buff on a character that they hate in a video game is insane to me. Make it so that Hanzo has a passive where he deals something like 10% more dmg to enemies who are revealed. That way he has to rely on his sonic arrows for the one-shot (kinda like Roadhog with Pig Pen). This also brings synergy with characters who give vision like Widow or Sombra.

Nah this is a terrible idea. Sonic is really good for providing utility to your team, so this change would either A. further incentivize the unfun Spamzo who sits with his team and shoots at the choke or B. incentivize incredibly selfish play where Hanzo saves sonic only for himself and never provides value to the team.

I'd be COMPLETELY satisfied with just having more heroes to one shot rather than the overall one-shot return. I've accepted that the overall one-shot is never coming back, however if they give hanzo a range of heroes he could one shot, he'd be in a much better place in terms of feel and value, it also wouldn't promote pocketing. This is the absolute best case scenario, hanzo doesn't need to dominate the game as the big bad mid range one-shot. We were lucky he was still able to one shot arguably 2 of the biggest value dps in the game. Overall, I'm glad this is even being considered, I hope they go through with expanding his one-shot potential. Give a dragon a bone. Thanks, Arrge, for fighting for us.
I agree. Take away some of our tank busting as needed to balance it and let us one shot ashe, sojourn, cass, genji and sombra again

@dubstepforever99 he still shreds tho tbh, since it's only a 5% damage reduction on armor, by all means, let tanks have their survivability in any way, shape or form they need it💀 I'm glad they gave the headshot reduction, however the armor change is no pun intended a legit chink in the armor.
@@dubstepforever99I mean the armor changes have a real chink against burst damage, so hanzo is still quite effective against most tanks in terms of denying the space they are fighting for since they just get chunked.
I think the best case scenario, they put hanzos health down to 225 and his arrows do 125 so he has his one shot back.
I'd even take 200hp

I suggest you lower your standards after the last Hanzo changes. I think it's clear that they won't do a significant number of characters nut rather around 6 who can get one shot
problem is there is too many hanzo haters and not enough hanzo lovers.. hanzo mains are a dying breed and this is all because of blizzard we been shafted again and again there is barely anyone who wants to keep him as his main anymore.. people are just constantly complaining about hanzo whenever he gets a buff and blizzard listen to majority.

playing hanzo against sombra might actually be the most miserable thing to do in existence, even when i hit my headshot its just impossible to follow up with another shot to secure the kill if they play it right, the only thing you can do is pray for them to be dumb
Kinda crazy to think about since when Hanzo could one shot playing Sombra into him was basically not ideal now its the opposite. lol
@@ranjnijan3446 yeah, when I first started playing genji Hanzo was one of my biggest fears, I needed to get him out of his position but a single mistake of mine would cost my life, it was a high risk play and that's what made it so satisfying when I actually managed to survive a Hanzo
He’s supposed to be a sniper and should not be favored in 1v1 vs a flanker
@@Yuhyuh6956 a sniper who cant kill people from distance? and its not a question of being favorable in a 1v1 situation, its a question of having a fair chance, which he doesnt have at this point unless the enemy sombra makes some huge mistake and you manage to hit a headshot + bodyshot/storm arrow without missing

I think the issue with hanzo is that his current arrow damage and slow firing speed makes him rely on one shots.
Giving him faster firing speed and lowering his damage could make him more like Cassidy rather than a weaker widowmaker.
I genuinely would've preferred if they made it so your draw time speed up for a few seconds when ya land a shot but this is an improvement at least (i hope)
I dont care what ppl say Arrge. You were and still are my first OW content creator who made me enjoy playing hanzo. Ppl hating on you dont understand just how much skill it took to play the old hanzo.

Arrow pull peak is my suggestion. When drawing back the arrow it would reach max pull that would one shot, but that would only last half a second or so before losing a bit of the draw distance. Realistic, timing, skill.

Hanzo is my favorite character in this game. You are one of my fav content creators playing him.
I still don't know wtf the devs were thinking when they just nerfed him, but then buffed every other character in to two tap range, meanwhile here we have to play draw bow, not whiff the second shot, dodge the high rate of fire / ability. It feels rough, but satisfying dominating. But we definitely shouldn't be getting out dps'd by Kiriko headshot spam.
I'll be happy if they reward my headshots with deadshots on the roster again. Projectile vs hitscan is the challenge, the slow rate of fire is already the balancing mechanism.

I started playing overwatch again with my main Hanzo. i have headshotted sombra so many times to her not dying and killing me! MY PC IS NOT BROKEN YET!! but soon it will be if this doesn't get fixed lol. On a side note I have been watching you for quite some time Arrge. Thank you for the beautiful content you are one of my favorite Overwatch creators.
It is very unfortunate how much hate you get man. I am a Hanzo main too, but i only started playing Overwatch this January, you quickly became my favourite Overwatch streamer/youtuber and i will continue to watch you for as long as you upload. i understand how difficult it may be to get so much backlash, but thank you for standing up for yourself and other Hanzo players. To retain body shot damage they could just give a lil tweak to the crit multiplier, enough to one shot but not enough to one shot everyone but tanks and bastion
well this will make hanzo feel better but if the enemy teams so decides they will switch to the non one shottable heroes once they think you're carrying. unless it's pretty ubiquitous i am not confident.

Eh it's not that bad. Forcing them off Echo, Sojourn, Tracer etc. is pretty good value since almost every other dps is far worse atm.
How about his sonar does damage to enemys or acts like a zen orb.

I main hanxo as dps and he is painful to play sometimes. Getting a headshot and hearing that ding then not getting an elim is nuts. Just a tank shredder and assist magnet, DRAGON SUCKS even more now

I love what you'd doing! And blizzard should thank you for voicing yourself for all Hanzo mains. I straight up stop playing Overwatch after Hanzo changes, and play other games for now. I tried Widow but it's not the same, so I looking forward to have one-shot back, otherwise I can't imagine having fun in Overwatch again.
If Genji and Tracer get armor, I'm considering that as the best opportunity for me to uninstall this game. That would be 3 back to back seasons of straight Reaper nerfs, even though he's absolute garabge. Saying he's the worst hero is not even enough of statement to describe the position he would be in.

I think the best way to go about it is bring back hanzo one shot and either lower him to 200 Hp so he can get one shot back or make it a distance thing
I played overwatch again after like 2 months and the amount of times I got a headshot but the person survived is insane. Like, I headshotted a junkrat, he survived, went around a corner, popped ult and killed me. I also headshotted a rezing mercy, she survived, rezed the junkrat and he killed me.
Also did Winston get a buff or something recently? Because he was always annoying and stupid but it seems like his bubble or jump was on a lower cool down?

yea they buffed tanks so thats another nerf to hanzo you barely do any dmg against tanks unloading all your storm arrows in the head, and hanzo has way worse escapes like other damage dealers so he just gets picked off.
No, they didn't change winston cooldowns at all, nothing changed except for the middle season tank changes.

Went from flat 30% dmg reduction, to -5 damage for Hanzo against armour.
@@Klyttoriusand that's a pretty significant buff when fighting tanks specifically, like, I actually MELTED a fortified orisa because of storm arrows, and I'm not gonna lie, I despise fighting orisas, but that doesn't sit right with me, the sniper character being a spam tank buster is probably the stupidest thing I've ever seen in a videogame

hanzo was like a high risk, high reward character but now even if you hit headshots and take time to line up your shots they wont even kill.. so its just better to spam and chip away at their health and hope someone else hits them as well.

That's an even worse change, he already has trouble with bodyshots because of the projectile hitbox, making him completely unplayable if you are against a Pharah or an Echo and even a Bastion

The problem with one-shots isn't anything to do with denying player skill. It's that it comes out of nowhere and the only counter play is to not have been there in the first place, even though you didnt know where not to be; It's the same for Widow and also why Sombra sucks to go against as well. It's why historically most games don't include one-shots or if they do there's a telegraph BEFORE the shot. Hell, go back as far as Quake 3, if you had 1 shard of armour a rail shot would leave you with 1hp even if you only had 5hp at the time. Halo 3's Spartan laser had wind-up and a laser pointer so you had some chance to react.
Obviously those games didnt have abundant healing to the targets so it's not quite the same and a much more difficult set of circumstances in Overwatch, but the sentiment has always been that instantly dying out of nowhere is a bad time that should be avoided for the health of a game. The only time being one-shot is acceptable is if everyone can do it. Same goes for flying imo, but that's another discussion.
I love hanzo actually takes skill to play cuz he shoots projectiles instead of straight lazer beams lmao
i think they could absolutely bring hanzo to a comfortable level if they did one of two things:
1. go through with the general oneshot return, still unable to kill some of the higher hp targets but somewhere in the 15-20 hero range so that he's comfortably viable without getting dove so easily
2. give him the lower end oneshot return to some of the biggest problem heroes (echo, sombra, genji, kiriko, moira, sojourn) AND give him 2 charges of his leap. This would both allow him to have some more comfort in getting dove with the ability to react, however also actually provide the chance to escape in more dangerous situations against those heroes that he cant delete. even a horizontal widow grapple goes 2-3x the distance of hanzo's leap.
I agree with most of this but I do want to point out that Widow's grapple is on a 12 second cooldown and it's harder for Widow to fend for herself up close than Hanzo since Hanzo also has a wall climb and doesn't have reduced movement speed when shooting. Assuming that what you mean by giving the dash two charges is making it like Tracer's blinks where they charge individually, one after the other, Hanzo's movement would be absolutely insane when coupled with his ability to fight more effectively than Widow up close. (TL;DR, Widow's grapple has a longer cd than Hanzo's dash so it's okay that it goes longer and giving him two would make it impossible to dive a character that is meant to be dove)
@@nerdzr6131 hanzo does have reduced movement speed when shooting, during bow drawback and when an arrow is drawn back you’re significantly slower. Also, 2 charges of his jump would still go less distance than widow grapple is capable of, yet it would be around the same cooldown length as one widow grapple.

It’s weird cause the result of the changes is very similar to Orisa’s situation. Her win rates and stats can look good and she can still be un-fun to play. You think that would be a case study for what not to do.

people hate hanzo so much that anyone who push for him to get buffed gets hate. They just want him to be shooting wet noodles so they don't have to think about him in comp. Everyone can see that he isn't really in a good spot right now, you know something is bad when hanzo aggro your teammates and your enemies.. teammates doesn't want to play with hanzo and the enemies doesn't want to play against hanzo.
i absolutely despise getting one shot from across the map by a stray hanzo arrow but without his one shot and with the ult change he just doesn't feel usable without a pocket, at least for the average hanzo. i honestly would be okay with him having his one shot if there was damage falloff like widow or if there were more than two heroes that could survive a headshot (other than tanks ofc). i think there's a number of ways to let hanzo do the thing he's supposed to do without it feeling horrible to play against and i hope blizzard finds a way that works
I would add brig, ana, sojourn to the green ones. brig cos she just feels like it. Btw i would be happy with the green changes, cos to be real others dont deserve to be oneshotted, like when i pop off im literally sorry for the enemy team...
Instead of going back too 6v6 blizzard will rework every hero at a rate of 1 hero per 2 months...

I would take a nerf to genji’s HP if they actually made raw blade more than a cooldown bait and gave him dmg to compensate for S9 changes. If he drops to 225 hp 29 dmg shurikens should be fine
The Hero that needs to be 1 shot the most is Venture. Everything that Character does is AOE damage.
