- On this video im going to be changing the fluid on my jaguar xf with the lucas synthetic diff lube. and check out how burnt the old oil is compared to the new one.
Finally changed my diff fluid today, note there are about 4 different versions of differential for the xf, mines is not E diff. Uses 3/8 square for the drain and 8mm hex for the infill plug. Always good to use the right tools for the job, previous owner rounded the infill plug and made it difficult for me. 27nm tightening torque is required for both.
I still hear a couple of noises at high gears, is this normal ? Please share your experience.

Don’t forget to measure how much oil you put in. It’s not like you fill until it starts dripping.

Hey bro I have a 2010 Jaguar XF Premium 5.0 N/A and I haven't ever had the diff oil changed. Overall car runs good.. should I change the diff oil just to play it safe? Also any way to get a couple more horsepower and better sound from the engine. Only have upgraded intake tube. Thx g

No I just did it because I wanted to keep the car well maintained. My diff was working fine so new oil dint effect anything

@@reginaldigweike4002 friction modifier reduces the friction In transmission or differentials if you don't have an lsd you don't need it

What bit did you use to loosen the fill plug in your rear diff?
I have an xf 2011 and I have tried 8mm and 9mm hexagon bit and it doesn't go in, mine is a square shape on both fill and drain plug. What did you use on your drain plug?
To drain mine all I used was a 3/8 Ratchet.
@Ricky50scJustalil6cylinder Thanks Ricky, yeah the 3/8" was fine on the drain plug, but couldn't anything to fit into the fill plug, something slightly bigger than 1/4 ".
What did you use for the fill plug.
Hey bought an 09 Jaguar XF, started driving it and heard squeaking or cheeping noise when driving outside. Went home and parked it in the drive way. The next day I turned it on and heard squeaking, like the sound of a bad belt. Not sure if it’s my wheel bearings or a worn belt. Any tips on what I should repair and what the reasonable price for this work would be. Thanks
Does it only do it when ur druving or when is parked and the engine running?
Ricky 5.0s/c I first noticed it when I was driving the one day then the next day I turned the car on and the squeaking started immediately, haven’t driven it since.

Where are you from? Check your intake tube for any cracks and clean your maf sensors
