I fucking love Abe. Him and Danny Carey are my Idols. The fact that these dudes can still come out last year and make an album as good as Ohms is really exciting. Also, him talking about jamming with Stephan recently means, I'm hoping, the possibility of at least one more album from them. I love Abe for his drumming and his "cool breeze" personality. It's sweet how he picked Spell Of Mathematics from their latest record as this is my favorite on the album. Adrenaline was amazing and I wasn't even a musician back then....? It stands alone I wonder why he can't listen to it .....cuz of the production?..... I thought Terry captured them perfectly for that time in America in the 90s I loved it as a kid falling asleep to itsmoking a joint riding my bike at night.....night riding to...... they were so young the music was tight......quick...... hence the word "Deft"
My favorite rock drummer! Very happy to find this great interview. The whole band is the epitome of playing for the song and taste. If you don't like Deftones, chances are you are a bad person :)
