Really interesting how the arch dam was the first to survive until the end because the force applied to bricks would dissipate to surrounding bricks and the aquarium wall, but i'm also suspecting it is because it was leaking too much (due to bigger gaps between bricks) and all the water on the "dry" half helped equalize the pressure difference. I'd like to see more sand based dams, maybe something with horizontal sheets of paper every couple of centimeters. Would it help keep the sand from falling off or would the force bee too strong and rip the wet paper maybe?

thats exactly why it survived as long as it did, the pressure was equal as the "dry side" filled, it would've been more interesting if he could have created a drainage system to at least keep the water from equalizing.

If they just use cement, they will first of all make it WAY more stable, and second, it will prevent water from going through the bricks and wetting the sand from the inside, which is basically why the dam always collapses, which is structural damage from the inside.

If there’s one thing I’m taking away from this video it’s that dam building is a very liquid business.

the highest worker was holding that dam for his friends not worried to fall of the cliff but he tried to save the dam but sadly the the dam pushed him and he fell to his death what a brave kind man
