- Born in a refugee camp and abandoned by his mother, Lomoro lived on the streets with his sister and ate out of restaurant bins until he was 9 years old. A chance encounter helped his father locate him and when he was 17 he moved to Australia. Lomoro developed an addiction to drinking and had a violent streak that landed him in prison and led to the removal of his daughter from his custody. Entering Shalom House over a year ago, Lomoro's outlook on life has changed and the future is looking bright.
