- We had a group of 9 hunters on a few hundred acres hunting in WV. Jonas and Joni were the only ones with cameras along, but as you'll see they were able to get some good footage.

Fawn with its leg blown off , it would have got folded tag or no tag . Sometime the sportsman in us needs to come out. Letting a crippled deer go is not.

Should have shot it. You have other hunters with tags, you have video evidence that you saw and shot the mother doe first AND saw the fawn was crippled and probably going to die soon. If you shot it and reported it to the DNR one would hope they would take the meat to a food bank and not cite you but if they did then you have crappy DNR people.
We just left a message for the West Virginia game warden. Asking what they would have done if we would have shot it and called them right away. Let’s see if he calls me back or gives me an answer. So we will know for next time.
Please tell me why you let that deer with its leg blown off walk away and suffer ..use your tag or call dec to get a tag for it ..
We do our best to stay legal. In this case it was ethics versus legality. Doe tags were no longer available at the time.

I understand the legality thing but you have video proof and how about the 19 tags you bragged about
@@MrSquid09 it’s not legal to use other people’s tags on a deer you shot last I checked.

Definitely!! I use the .350 in WV and OH. My son uses the .350 or sometimes the .308 in WV. If he’s hunting a large field he’ll use the .308. Otherwise we go .350

You people please understand the kid did what is legally right. Yes us adults probably would shot and deal with after, borrow a tag or leave to the coyotes or whatever. But as a dad I can’t judge the kid for do the legal thing not the right thing. I bet the kid knows now, he really wanna do it and I saw his regret to shot the doe. Congratulations for the video, this is my favorite hunting channel, because I decided for my 350 legend watching you and the kids I hope I can teach my kids be good hunters. For sure you guys are having better season than me in Michigan.
