I mean, Kingpin WAS the main antagonist in Into the Spider-Verse, and was also a key component of Peter Parker's story in the PS4 Spider-Man game, so it's not like he hasn't been showcased quite a bit recently as a Spider-Man villain for younger audiences, and, as you showed, he was prominent on the 90s Spider-Man cartoon, so I think quite a few people do associate Kingpin with Spider-Man as well as Daredevil

I have always associated him with Daredevil, but I have always been an avid comic book reader, and at the end of the day, Frank Miller himself said that he literally intended to stole as many Spider-Man villains as he could for the Devil of Hell's Kitchen. But in recent years, and largely thanks to the Into the Spider-Verse movie, Kingpin has grown to be more a Spider-Man villain in people's minds than a Daredevil villain. At least, to the public in general. If you grew up watching the 90s Spider-Man cartoon, I'm pretty sure you think of Fisk as a Spider-Man villain. But I'm talking about poeple who got into superheroes thanks to the 2000s X-Men and Spider-Man movies, as well as with the MCU. At least, that's my perception.

I like the idea of the Netflix shows existing in the MCU. It's a nice way to expand on the world and it's "minor problems". Let the movies and some of its shows be about stuff like intergalactic and multiversal threats while the more down-to-earth stuff be handled by other heroes.

I kinda want Spidey to have 3 trilogies, so two more to go. First movie, Spider-Man is bullied by Kraven the Hunter cause he is not good with his Spidey-sense. He then seeks Daredevil's help. Like how Daredevil mentored Blindspot in the comics, he taught Spidey. Second movie is Spider Island, villain, Jackal. Spidey learned to fight without his powers with the help of Shang Chi who help him develop "The Way of the Spider". The third should include Kingpin. Spidey loses, ask help yet again from Daredevil. Daredevil said it isn't enough and they rescue The Punisher from a local gang to ask him to join in. They beat Kingpin together, the end of second trilogy.

Especially with Willem Dafoe's recent rendition of Goblin, they allowed for those much openly brutal villains to fight Spiderman. None of us want Daredevil to be yet another mentor figure for Peter, but he's always treated Spidey as an equal so even if he gave Peter advice, I don't think it would come off "mentory" as much as it would just one hero giving advice to another about a similar experience.

Loved Kingpin’s overall arc in the Daredevil series. Felt his appearance in Hawkeye undercut some of the great work D’Onofrio had done previously.
Really feel like having him as a “playful” for lack of a better term Spider-Man villain would further undercut any of the true air of dangerousness, cunning and overall menace the character has in the Daredevil series. I would truly hate to lose that and would almost prefer that they recast instead.
I don’t want a Fisk that went toe to toe with Bernthal’s Punisher getting quipped to death by Holland’s Spider-Man.

Similarly to how Goblin shook up Peter's level of stakes a bit, I wonder if Kingpin could toss Peter around a bit. He's supposed to be a physically intimidating beef cake who can go toe to toe with Spiderman somehow, even with Spidey's strength, meaning he usually has to play around Kingpin or wear him down instead of just punching his lights out. Maybe a combination of deadly enforcers (like Scorpion) could be trying to hunt Spiderman down to kill him, but he can't just take the fight to Kingpin because 1 on 1 Kingpin snaps him too. Could keep Holland's Spidey on his toes. Maybe he could get a dark knight rises moment where he assumes he'll just toss Kingpin around, but them surprise Kingpin throws him against walls and breaks a few bones while he's barely able to escape.

This is why changing things up from the comic books is sometimes great.
Kingpin barely got any development within the comic book and was one note character as an Spider-Man villain but once he started becoming Daredevil’s villain,he got an much better story arc and character development just like in the show. The MCU refuses to change their childish and goofy tone which makes me and other people not want Kingpin to meet Spider-Man

It's funny because growing up (I'm an old man), I always associated Kingpin more with Spider-Man than Daredevil. Granted, I wasn't the biggest Daredevil fan as a kid but I knew he often clashed with Kingpin. Still, I always saw Kingpin as more of a Spidey villain. This is why, when the movie rights were doled out, I was surprised that Kingpin was attached to Daredevil rather than Spidey. 🤷🏾‍♂

I absolutely LOVE your take on the clashing personalities of Spidey and Kingpin in the MCU. I think the MCU did something incredibly smart with Holland's Spider-Man by keeping him young, idealistic, and naïve for a long time before laying into the heartache. Sony's earlier films consistently jumped too quickly into Peter Parker as a tortured soul, which made it feel like morose and solemn responsibility was supposed to be the core of the character. This always left his signature quippiness feeling weirdly out of place. In reality, iconic events like the deaths of Uncle Ben and Gwen Stacy were meant as external challenges to a character who was internally hopeful and idealistic, initially from naivety, but later as an intentional choice. Like Captain America in a lot of ways, Spidey is about moral perseverance and refusing to give in to cynicism, and his quips are not only his way of breaking down the resolve of those who have given in, but a way of constantly training himself to remain light-hearted. Spidey is the kind of guy who brings others up when things look bleak. For someone like Wilson Fisk, who has allowed darkness and cynicism to consume him whole, Spidey makes a perfect foil.

I think, if they're going with that blind version of Kingpin now, they'll have him very much in the shadows. Like just laying orders from under the curtains, sending villains after Echo, maybe Daredevil shows up to help her. And in Spider-Man movies, maybe he'll be fully restored and gather the Sinister Six in future movies. Like, let's say Tom Spidey fights Idk Scorpion in the next film, Kingpin shows up in post-credits calling Scorpion to the team.

Spider-Man 4: Kingpin rises back up to power, Punisher is taking out his opponents. However, Punisher isn’t working with Fisk, he’s working alone. Unknowingly helping Kingpin rise back up, Spider-Man encounters him and thinks he’s working with Fisk (this plays into Punisher originally being a Spider-Man villain). Spidey and Punisher can team up at the end and whatever but that general premise would be pretty sweet.

He says a lot by doing nothing and he says a lot with his physicality. I think it will be a great decision on marvels part to give him the opportunity for a film of his own. Possibly even an R-rated film. I feel that he is deserving of this and moviegoers are ready for it.

Wilson Fisk would be amazing to see in the MCU, for the exact reasons you listed in this video. When it comes to the other Netflix characters I am not sure. Danny Rand could, if done poorly, be seen as the terrible white guy version of Shang-Chi, a much better character to begin with. It would also be tricky to fit Luke Cage into the MCU, as there are right now few places he would slot naturally into this universe. However, Jessica Jones could be a cool fit, since she has a history with the newer generations of Avengers in the comics.

If not a main antagonist for a future Spider-man film, then maybe as a secret puppet master pulling the strings behind the scenes. Maybe after the events of Hawkeye, there's a power vacuum in the criminal underworld and Tombstone is making a grab for it. So, when Spider-man is trying to stop Tombstone, he's inadvertently helping Fisk regain power.
